Allison Mack is a star and popular on the show because of her expressive eyes.

When she wanted Clark to give her some space her eyes said it all. That was just some great acting!!

She is a good actress, and yet another one who can "act with her eyes"! I hope that things turn around! Watching the old episodes and ones from earlier this season, I just hate the route they're taking her!!!

She was amazing. It's one of her best performances. Her eyes are definitely part of her appeal in addition to her smile. I can't stand entertainers with dead and vacant eyes. The way she teared up and smiled while on the verge of tears was incredible.

I agree, I hate what they are doing with the character.

She has been loyal to Clark and now all of a sudden she's running away with Davis?

I liked the way she smiled and cried with her eyes last night with Clark. Good acting.

It was almost like you could see how wet her eyes got and Clark was misinterpreting the tears over her emotional turmoil, but in reality the audience knows it's her morale conflict and Allison is talented enough that she's able to differentiate those emotions thru her acting. The Chlo/Lo scene was really well done as well as Allison was playing so many different emotions and trying to hide so much from her cousin, who not only knows her extremely well but also is an investigative reporter and was obviously picking up on the odd and out of place vibes Chloe was giving off.

ITA! Allison is simply amazing. She has such a natural ability in this craft. She is so subtle yet very expressive, there aren't many actresses that can do that. Her performance was just brilliantly delivered in 'Stiletto' plus I love that the actors who are in scenes with her tend to bring their game up.

She truly is a talented performer. :D

Although I still think her performance in Abyss was her best of the series, this one was right up there as one of the best.

Allison Mack is a star and popular on the show because of her expressive eyes.

Which character on the series doesn't have expressive eyes?

Nonverbal expression is a huge part of acting. Everyone on the series, especially Erica Durance and Kristin Kreuk, have been able to show deep expression through their eyes. They're all very talented though I'm not sure their expressive eyes are direct contributors to their popularity. But I guess there is no way to accurately attest to this one way or another...

She was simply amazing. I didn't know what to expect from the Chloe scenes in this episode and I wasn't sure what how I would feel about them but Allison blew me away. I enjoyed her in Abyss but there was just something about her performance in this episode that made it special for me.

I enjoyed AM quite a lot in this episode. Even though Chloe is clearly making all the wrong choices, she still managed to make me feel bad for her. Allison was great.

Let's not forget that it's not easy with the material she has been given. Especially in the dumpster scene, she brought her A game on and i am pretty sure she had to play this kind of emotion for the first time. Carrying leftovers after a Doomsday murder? Yuck.

Legion, Abyss, and now, oh so sadly, the few minutes she aquired in Stiletto were probably her best performances with 'her eyes' this season. Honestly, anyone see how her eyes worked in Legion? Pure awesome!

Allison is always a stellar actress, but like I said on another thread, this particular episode really did show off her broad emotional range. She was portrayed as conflicted, mortified, scared, heartbroken, relieved, and more. She has shown top-notch skills in TONS of episodes throughout the whole series, and really has just gotten better and better over time.

I think one of the things that really excites me about the Doomsday arc is the phenomenal acting we're getting out of it. TW, AM, SW even AA in Turbulence and CF in Eternal have given it their all. AM has been amazing and I hope she gets some industry recognition for her work.

She's been great this year with the exception of Power. Ya she was busy directing but her scenes were very flat that episode.

She blew me away in Stiletto though, especially the confrontation scenes with Erica and Tom where you could feel her wanting to speak up and tell her and then pull back and fall into herself and hide her real emotions while playing it off as emotionally distressed and sad over her failed marriage.

I do too and I think whilst I think many may not be enjoying Chloe's arc, AM is having a ball getting the chance to do something a little different this year and it shows.

Outstanding effort by AM. She simply just rocks. The show simply wouldn't be the same without her confident, reassuring cuteness.

Was watching some S5 today and she was really rocking in S5 at the DP. Her performances in Tomb and Void were just awesome.

I honestly do not like Chloe's storyline this season, but it does give Allison Mack acting scenes that showcase her acting chops.

And she was stellar in this ep. :)

Considering how little screentime she got it's remarkable that she managed to make a mark on the episode. It's just like Bloodline.

Except for Vengeance, I agree with that list. She was great, but I'd replace it with Freak, Progeny, and Cure. Abyss, however, was a totally different class. It's one of only two performances on TV for any show this year that has completely blown me away.

She was brilliant in Freak especially in the scene where Clark uses his heat vision on her and the 'personal bombsquad' scene.

I dont think so....there arent many Chloe fans now and everyone is liking Lois more than Chloe so no matter how amaizing her performance is people will vote for they fave charcter

Oh day???? While I think ED has been outstanding as Lois' arc evolves, Chloe/AM will always get my vote. Allison is AMAZING this season, as said her expressiveness in her eyes bring it all out, I'm breathless. "Aren't many Chloe fans"????? Speak up, Chlohearts, cast your vote for Blondie ;)

ITA on everything

Erica is doing such a good work!!! although now that theres no Lana they are not using Lois as comedy relief they are making her more dramatic and I dont like that :p

Allison is out of all the cast the one with more expressive eyes ;)

I've kind of hated where they have gone with Chloe's character, but I did happen to catch this episode. And I have to say that this scene, along with the Clark one at the end, just simply Blew me away. There are not enough Superlatives to describe Allison Mack's acting ability. And for as much as I hate what the writters have done with her (for the most part), and despite Allison Mack also getting on my nerves with her interviews of late, it's scenes like these ones that make me forget all that. Her acting just had me saying "WOW" all through those 2 scenes.

There are still TONS of chloe fans out there. But i think alot of them have just given up fighting with all the negative posts as of lately. I personally don't read as many forums on THIS site anymore because of it. Not to mention there is a large portion of fans who don't even use the internet websites at all. I know allot of people in real life who do not go on here but are big time chloe fans. We just arn't as vocal anymore as we use to be.

I'm a chloe fan, but that doesn't make me say that she was amazing in this episode. Imo it's only fair to say that she was good. There were only a few scenes in it and she was good. But those scenes meant almost nothing, they were just detail so she couldn't show her full potential. Just as Clark imo couldn't show his potential in the previous episode.
