For what little time the scuffle went on in the Talon.........Davis must be able to tramsform instantly now.

I noticed that. It looks like 'the beast' is harder to control, now.

He tore that guy to shreds and then had Chloe take out the leftovers. That was more than disturbing.

Yes it does.

I left with the impression that Davis's feelings for Chloe won't allow anything to happen to her...maybe that's why it's fast.....

that's what i thought

i also found it odd how he didnt attack chloe, i didnt think davis' feelings interfered with doomsdays needs (when hes the monster)

in Infamous we saw that he almost or did kill her

hummm maybe it was the whole going back in time that altered how things work

In Bride......Doomsday called her "Chloe" and took off with her because Davis loved Chloe.

Two examples of a woman in trouble needing to be saved:

Chloe saved by the immortal Doomsday with the attacker killed, bagged and placed in a dumpster.

Lois saved by mortal Clark taking a bullet meant for her which was very heroic with the shooter going to jail.

This is a good comparison of good/Clark and evil/Davis/DD in the same type of situation.

Seeing that Chloe was far from the basement when it all happened I guess Davis had enough time to transform. Also the point that somebody was threatening Chloe could have triggered it sooner. The criminal was talking for a short time to Chloe, but I think it was long enough for Davis to transform into DD.

Yes, I think that Chloe being in danger caused his beast to come out at (oh, forgive me) super speed. For all the negatives about DD, he did save Chloe, that creep would have wasted her without a thought. Tearing him to shreds was too good for him....

This is great! I always love when people find comparisons like this..;)

I think the fact that chloe was in danger definitely brought the beast out of him sooner. It may also have to do with a possibility that the beast is getting harder to control though. i agree with Billy Jor El though, i'm glad DD came out when he did or else who knows what would have happened to chloe.
