Kind of Sad at Chloe for that

I am kind of sad at chloe for not confiding in Lois when she was going to tell her but hey I don't know maybe Chloe thought that it was too much to tell

Honestly, I think Chloe has rationalized that it is right to keep secrets, and that telling would get other people in toruble (i.e. the kind of trouble Clark had in Infamous when everyone found out his secret.)

I know I am reaching here, but I wonder if Chloe feels a special connection to Davis because he is also from Krypton...essentially, he has a lot in common with Clark....and Chloe knows she can't have Clark...I wonder if Davis is her substitute Clark. Maybe she is simply too scared to unload all her mixed-up feelings to Lois?

No, you don't sound weird. I think the Chloe-Davis arc is weird. Either she's protecting Clark by hiding Davis or she truly has feelings for Davis. Or both, I guess.

So let's tackle one idea at a time. She knows that killing Davis is the right thing to do to protect Clark. But that scene in the lab where she had to watch Davis die from kryptonite (or so she thought) clearly showed she had feelings of some kind for him. Looked like more than regret for taking a life. On the other end, she looked truly shocked when Davis showed up in herbasement later in that episode. I'm sure a small part of her wondered: if he can't die, how will Clark stop him? So she could be trying to tame the beast in him thinking that might be the only way to protect Clark. I think part of her is truly afraid that Clark would lose out in a face-off now that Doomsday is immune to kryptonite but knows that he can use kryptonite to kill Clark.

I actually felt for Chloe more when she wanted to tell Clark what was going on and she had tears in her eyes. Now that I think about it....I also felt sorry for her when she saw the blood in her hands when she was throwing away the dead bodies.

She is in trouble and now she is helping a serial killer get away with murder. I really feel like her life has gone beyond her control. I feel for her because she must feel helpless.

So do you think that Chloe keeping secrets is also meant to position her a foil to Lois? Let's face it....Lois sucks at keeping secrets. Clark figured out she was Stiletto in 5 seconds flat. With Lois, what you see is what you get....wondering if writers are basically positioning the two as:
-Chloe keeps secrets and can't admit she is making a mistake (sort of like Lana, don't you think?)
- Lois is an open book and can admit to mistakes

I was pleasantly shocked that Chloe even considered opening up to Lois. Realistically if she's not telling Clark she's probably not going to tell Lois.

I do think that scene by the dumpster is very sad. I think Chloe may be afraid of herself the most. And now she can't hide behind "I am being possessed by Braniac" excuse anymore. That was a "What am I turning into" moment by the dumpster...

I did feel bad for her both times I mean she just was sad this whole episode & people keep blaming it on Davis but no truly I think that Chloe has something going on & my guess is we will find that out pretty soon

But I think she is in love with Davis & is confused as to what is right & wrong

^^Why??!!! She isn't doing anything bad she is trying to do the right thing but right now she doesn't know what it is. I think that is why she was acting the way she was in Stiletto

Don't burn Chloe just yet I think she will prove herself in the end. No matter what to me Chloe will always be amazing & especially now that she & Davis are FINALLY giving the Chlavis fans what they want like me :)

Davis is a monster and Chloe knows that if she tells people like Lois and Clark about him they would take action and get themselves killed. She can't tell them and I feel sorry for her because, as I stated in another thread, I think she feels trapped. She has no one she can confide in or lean on in this matter without endangering their lives. Seeing Chloe in this situation makes me understand Lana's situation better when she thought she had to marry Lex to protect Clark. I thought she was gullible to believe that Lionel would kill Clark but, at the time, maybe she felt like Chloe is feeling now.

Chloe probably had 2 reasons not to tell Lois. One how are you going to explain what is going on to her WITHOUT giving away Clark's Secret. I'm hiding someone in the basement that turns into a monster that wants to kill clark because he is an alien from another planet also? And on top of that she's probably scared that Lois will get hurt if she knew what was going on. She loves her cousin and doesn't want her hurt.

Someone said that Chloe never admits she is wrong. She admitted she was wrong in Eternal. She said she was wrong to clark and then moved on because they had pressing issues to deal with.

The only thing she didn't admit to of being wrong was pulling the lever because she with all her heart doesn't think she was wrong with that. And she explained her reasoning.

yeah thats true, I actually do believe Chloe is doing it to protect them & she does feel trapped sadly :( I feel bad because she just is really really confused & I think in Beast we are really going to see her come into her own you know?

& I think you are being still really harsh on that but it's your opinion ;)
