Just thank you.

A lot of people were worried that Lois would miraculously be over Clark and fall for the RBB. What happened was quite the opposite.

There was way more progression between Clark and Lois and Lois' feelings for Clark are still very much there.

1. The scene where Clark tells Lois she still sees him as a copy boy and she actually gets angry and tells him that no, he's way better than anyone expected. And it just poured out of her, she didn't think about it. And her reaction after she said it was great, like she didn't actually want to reveal to him that she thinks he's awesome.

2. Her reaction when she saw Clark getting beaten up. I loved it because it was so realistic. She didn't immediately jump in there, she was scared and she first wanted to call 911. When she saw that the guy was about to kill Clark, she ignored her fears and risked her life for him.

3. Clark taking the bullet for Lois. Holy moly, I did not expect to get such an amazing moment. It was way better than on Lois & Clark, because Clark was actually human and mortal in that moment, yet he put it all on the line for Lois. Damn, THAT was romantic.

4. Lois' reaction to Clark taking the bullet for her. Gosh, that was some incredible acting of Erica. It was so heartbreaking and touching (and possibly foreshadowing for another similar scene?). "Why did you have to be a hero?" God that line killed me. It was so, so sad.

5. The Daily Planet scene afterwards. How the tables have turned! Lois brings CLARK coffee! :D That was cute and so Lois. Clark faking pain? Priceless. And wow, Durance and Welling sure know how to do the eyesex thing. The way they looked at each other after Lois went, "You weren't going to eat that, were ya?" was HOT! They were flirting so openly and shamelessly - I loved it!

Again: thanks to Caroline Dries for some of the most awesome Clark and Lois scenes in 5 years.

As for Lois/RBB: the last scene was romantic from Clark --> Lois, not so much from Lois --> RBB. It actually seemed like she was simply genuinely concerned and tried to be his friend, which I thought was sweet. Clark thought she was after a story, and she was simply wanting to make sure that he had someone in his life he could talk to. Awesome.

OMG! Clark dies in Lois' arms with her JUST COMING ONTO THE SCENE! She doesn't know it's the RBB, because she only sees Clark.

I agree the episode had great elements. But, I severely question how much of that was Caroline. The dialogue was bad, and no "references" does not a good script make.

I agree with everything said. Great post! My favorite moment was #3 follow directly by #4 and #5.... but the three go together kind of lol.

Great points Nora, and I agree.

I also agree that that last scene was more romantic from Clark's perspective, the way he never took his eyes off her and was smiling the entire time, and that last smile after the phone call ended? Swoon.

His reaction to Lois reaching out to the "Blur" was so telling....it's like he knew in that second just how special she is, because as far as she knows, the Blur is a total stranger, and she's offering to just 'be there' for him.

Yes! I agree this episode was full of Lois and Clark goodness!!! I love that the RBB stuff was obviously exaggerated. And it was mostly saved for the very end. It was a great episode in terms of Clois!

This is the total feeling I got from this scene. We know Lois has feelings for Clark already but has put them on a back burner. But his reaction at the end of this conversation was like a little light going on for him. It made me feel very satisfied. I even thought "Man, you could have ended the season on that."

All in all, a slower paced episode in feel in so many places, but the last ten or fiftenn minutes redeemed it very well. It will be a favorite of mine.
