I love those 3 together. That scene with the 3 made the episode. I would love to see Pete Ross added to that mix, especially if the beginnings of Intergang we saw tonight returns next season in a huge plot. Pete would be great if he's working for the mayor while Intergang infiltrates City Hall. It would be cool if Martha is Pete's mentor.

Next year it should be them thats the big three.... Tom Welling, Erica Durance and Aaron Ashmore with Michael Rosebaum as Lex Luthor..... at least if they want the show to be better they should.

But seeing that jimmy seems to be a drug addict...not sure where they are taking "wholesome Olseon." :\

I don't even think it's that. The writers screwed up last season when they brought him back. Whenever he had a serious role in the show, he was a great character. I felt very bad when I watched that scene in Forsaken where he had to leave.
I would love to see Pete working with the DP 3, giving Jimmy, Clark & Lois leads based on stuff he finds out at City Hall. We saw him get along with Jimmy & we know what a good friend to Clark he is. I think Clark talking to him about how to proceed with Lois & being given advice would be very cool.
I could even see an episode where Pete & Clark go out to see a baseball game in Metropolis & Pete recognizes crooked politicians who turn out to be involved in a gambling ring.

Yeah, I think they should be the big 3 for next season.
----- Added 45 Seconds later -----
Plus, they should make his character more interesting without having him on drugs...

I'd rather Luthor than Ross on the show. Pete Ross always annoyed me from the beginning....

Well, Lex isn't certainly coming back. I would at least like to have Lucas show up, but I heard Paul Wasilewski is starring in an upcoming CW show about vampires.
I don't get why Pete was annoying. He was very cool with Clark & always had his back except when he was affected by something, which every character on this show has been.

I really liked this scene. And the biggest reason wasn't even that it was Kent/Lane/Olsen. The biggest reason was that it was a rescue scene, yet every single of our characters got a chance to get into the action and save one of the others. That was so awesome! I wish SV could manage that sort of equity on a more regular basis.

That was one of the highlights of the episode for me along with the Lois/Jimmy photograph scene. I just love seeing those iconic three together and the fact that they were all saving each others lives (as Jade pointed out in her review) was amazing.

I just always felt he was over dramatic about EVERYTHING. He's crying scenes were always over the top. In the beginning I liked Chloe as his friend more than Pete....
But now............... Let's just say my opinion has changed lol:rotfl:

The only crying scenes of his I remember were in Velocity & Forsaken, and I could understand why he was crying. In Velocity he made a big mistake & his family was being threatened as a result of it. The episode showed him to have flaws & as a realistic character, plus it fit nicely in the season 3 theme of morality vs. the law. In Forsaken, he was changing his entire life around and leaving all his friends & even his best friend behind due to his realization that Lex, Lionel, and others out for Clark's secret would never leave him alone and he didn't want to betray Clark.
Everyone who was investigating Clark who resulted in Pete's exit are now either dead (Lionel, Agent Loder, etc) or know Clark's secret (Lex). So his reasons from staying away from his best friend no longer exist.

Absolutely heart warming.
I said it in the fall kick thread, but it bears repeating. I found the three saving one another- especially a power deprived Clark jumping in front of a bullet knowing he couldn't just bounce it off and then Jimmy grabbing the gun away from the man trying to shoot Lois. Lois' whole contribution was running around and being a big cleavagy distraction thing, but her emotion was touching :) The tears. She might not admit it, but this scene was a great big dallop of whip cream to make the episode all come together.
Cheered me up from the sad Chloe.

While I agree with most of your post, I've got to disagree with the bolded bit. Firstly she jumped through the roof to save Clark just as a guy was putting a gun to his head then she smashed a guy over the head and saved Jimmy. They all saved each other which is why it was so great.

Exactly, none were more heroic than the next yet shinning a little brighter: Clark by taking a bullet, which is a great thing considering heīs the main character and the hero of the story. See thatīs one thing Ive always liked whith Lois and Jimmy, they dont need to outshine Clark to look good, the writers have been carefull in doing that so far. I loved Clarkīs head bang in Commitment and saving his and Loisīs life on his own and now him being weakened by greenK taking a bullet for someone, thatīs Superman right there for ya, I honestly didnt expect that and it was amazing.

I probably should have clarified that. Lois did conrtibute in risking her life to jump in and save her guys- but I found the jump kick to be over the top. Unrealistic. Not probable that an amateur in stilettos and a 'damn impractical frock' (Fray reference, anyone?) could have kicked that man with such precision. It just seems gimicky to me.
She was amazing when she smashed the guy who was throttling Jimmy- and that Jimmy saved her moments before- precious! When Jimmy and Lois were carrying Clark out of there, I so was thinking 'time to make a new wallpaper of the amazing three!'

They all stood up for each other in that scene where Lois jumps through the glass, great scene. I am just really wondering though, how is it that Jimmy and Lois called the ambulance when clark got shot, lois says she is going to? How did they not find out that his wound dissapeared and how did the ambulanc people not find out, if he went? And why was Jimmy's camera in front of the hospital randomly before Lois saved the day?
