WARNING: While I consider everything about this topic to be "CLEAN" it does however contain references to sexual orientation of some Heroes, which people may or may not be thrilled with. But in any case, this topic is only meant to gather opinions about a potential main character in Volume-5, and how the show should best utilize him/her on primetime television.

Ok we all know that Heroes deals with a very wide variety of different people... One of those people was Zach (Claire’s best friend from season one). During his time on the show he was often pointed out as being a homosexual. But I read that because of the producers "plans" for his character, the actor's agent swiftly pulled him from the show, because it could have ruined the actor's chances of landing a role in The Terminator series (which I sadly don’t watch).

Then on another recent episode, Hero and Ando went to India to rescue a bride-to-be from her abusive fiancé. After Hero and Ando pulled a "wedding crashers" the bride says to her father: "I don't think a traditional wedding is in my future" as she says this she glances very lovingly toward her female coworker, whom she works with at a diner.

Recently I was reading "Behind the Eclipse" in which, 2 of the main producers (Aron Coliete and Joe Pokaski) answer "any" question; on a weekly basis that a fan may have. In the segment that got posted after the "Cold Snap" episode, it was simply revealed that there are indeed plans to have a homosexual, as a main character in Volume-5 "Redemption" and this may include a relationship with another character: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=20529 (http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=20529) (the question is directly beside the picture of HRG, standing next to Doyle’s bedside)

Now I personally DO NOT want any fighting or bashing. All I am asking is for different opinions on how our beloved show might best handle a homosexual main character and potential relationship? Because of the sensitive nature of the subject, I personally believe that this may turn "some" people off from watching the show, yet at the same time it seems like a fantastic way to bring new viewers in. I absolutely loved how "Zach" was handled and was quite devastated after the behind the scenes blowout. And I absolutely look forward to "Heroes" to once again "reach out" in the name of diversity. But as we all know, this is a very sensitive subject and must be handled with the best care possible. How do you think this can be done???
