View Full Version : Poor Noah and Matt, and Danko loves someone?

You just can't help but feel bad for these two. Matt's lost Daphne, and very nearly killed what was good about him. I don't know what stopped him, but it probably had something to do with him thinking what she'd think of him if he did. I liked that about him. Surprisingly (or not surprisingly), Hiro showed up at the exact location they needed to be, the exact second he needed to. If this was an RPG, this would be called meta-gaming. Thankfully Matt's got a reason to keep living.
Sylar's just laying the boots to poor old Noah. Whatever chance he had at keep his relationship with Sandra looks tarnished. I'm sure he wants nothing more than to rip that guy's head right off.
As for Danko, I guess even cold-blooded killers need someone to love them. Guess he's out of luck.

I think what stopped Matt was a combination of Matt's character and Mohinder's pleading with him not to be revengeful. I also think he was on a suicide mission.
As for Hiro, I really wasn't surprised. He spoke to Mohinder on the phone. Mohinder was present when Matt did the mind whammy on Noah, so he may have known the adress. It sure beats Sylar showing up out of the blue with absolutely no possible explanation.

wouldn't you have moved if you were Danko after the Peter incident.

yeah if I was the guy in charge of hunting down superpowered people I think I would be walking around with a full security detail like the President

Maybe, maybe not. If I was Danko I would have moved when I found the "taxidermied bunny." But obviously Danko likes having guests drop by.

Guess he's just that lonely.
About your previous comment, I was more or less talking more about the exact second. How did Hiro know to use his time stop ability right at that moment? I guess he would have Danko's exact address from the interrogation with HRG, but still, the timing.

Well... because he heard the argument...
I am sad that matt doesn't use his ability with more frequency. He shouldn't need a gun with his power.

I was hoping Matt would use his "Boogy Man" power like his father did.

To me, Hiro's reaction--when he saw the bullet in mid-air--seems to indicate that he stopped time while unaware of what was taking place. I'm under the impression that he stopped time to be able to enter the room unseen and get Matt out of there (and probably the best strategy, too). It is more good fortune and luck than anything else. Fortune and luck (as well as the opposite) happens in real life too.

I found the scene between HRG and Sylar (as Sandra) to be very emotional. When she blurted out "I don't love you anymore..." and watching HRG's reaction...seriously almost put me to tears. Best scene of the episode, proving that this show is about people, and not superpowers.

I agree with you. I liked that they showed the human side of Noah. He's always so cool and controlled but when it comes to his family he can be a man to be afraid of it.
I like when HEROES do that, that not always have to be black and white, good and bad all the time.

Maybe he's not to that power level yet? I think that Matt is eventually going to wig out and use some form of that power - that might be pushing him to the side of the bad guys though.
I kinda found the Danko/girl thing a bit hard to accept....

He did use the boogeyman power on his father in season two. Perhaps he's too nice a guy to use it lately.

That's not true. He never used that ability at all. His dad used it, and Matt just reversed it on him so that he could escape with Molly, while his dad was stuck inside his own creation.

Not only did he use it with his dad, but he also used it with Daphne. I had forgotten about that.
With Maury, Matt called out "Dad!" and his father appeared in the nightmare and asked Matt if he pulled him in. When Matt and Molly left the nightmare, Matt left his father trapped there. So it was all Matt pulling the boogeyman move on Maury.
In volume 3, Matt pulled Daphne into the dream he was in while trying to pull Angela out of her coma.

Matt using his power, I seriously thought that he was going to put the image him killing Danko's girlfriend. That way, no one dies, and Danko feels the pain Matt wanted him to.
