Was Davis going to tell Chloe

Was Davis going to tell Chloe that she could stop the Beast with in before he asked her to help him kill himself?

It seemed like to me he wanted to know if Chloe loved him so if she did he would tell her that being around her would stop it. So when she responded the way she did he then asked her to help him kill himself.

What do you guys think?

Imo he already made an attempt to tell her at least that he could be a killler in Prey, but she couldn't believe him. I also have the impression that he didn't later reveal when he was sure he was the killer, because he knew Chloe looked up to him and he didn't want to be such a disappointment to her. Also he was of course afraid how she would react. So I'm not sure if he was going to tell her. Cause Davis doesn't come off as a selfish person. And I think Davis didn't want to steal Chloe from Jimmy, though I'm sure he's now delighted they are not together anymore.

I was actually talking about the specific scene when Davis wanted to know if Chloe loved him and if she said she did I think he would have told her that being around her tames the Beast.

I know, but I think he didn't want to tell her that she was able to tame the beast, cause it would almost be like blackmailing. If he said without knowing she loved him. You can tame the beast in me. She would stay but only because she feels she has no option. Davis wanted her to do so out of her free will.

I don't know. Now that you mentioned he does say "then I need you to do something..." but he did also say he found away to end it and I got the picture that he had tried to end it before so maybe he just really did want to die. It could just as well be that he decided to do that to free Chloe.

I'm not sure the end result was what Davis expected. I think he wanted her to talk him out of it. It might have worked that way except Clark arrived. Davis started the transformation and Chloe pulled the lever.

I think he wanted to see that despite everything if she loved him and maybe that would be enough to stop the monster within since she has stopped the monster before when touching him and he's fine when he's around her. But then when she said she didn't have those feelings after finding out about what he did then he decided to die.
