Clark won't fly?

I mean; Tess said that Clark won't be who he is meant to be, before he kills the ultimate destroyer who is Davis. So is it so that Clark won't become Superman or even fly by the end of season 9? Cause I think that Doomsday will be in season 9 too.

i think she ment he wont be the symbol for hope until doomsday is dead or defeated. like when the legion came they told clark he was the reason people excepted aliens on earth so perhaps once he defeats doomsday it proves that aliens can be good along with bad and will be more welcomed. flying means he fully embraced his destiny but hasnt accomplished his destiny.

There is no logical expanation or speculation one can make about when Clark will actually fly. He should be doing it years now. It is totally up to TPTB to decide when their relentless obsession of keeping him grounded despite all logic ends...
