So do Clark and Chloe now know Davis is Doomsday? and that he was the monster that crashed the wedding?

I think they do.Clark was calling him the Destroyer after it was over.At Legion he was telling Lana that the Destroyer crushed the wedding. So i think they know. Also he talked about Jor El telling him about the Destroyer and that he wasn't much of a challenge in the end.

It was awkward, how they went from starting to dawn on them, to the cage and neither mentioned him being Doomsday

Clark has called the beast Doomsday for a while, yet he never called Davis that this episode. The needed a simple 30 second bridge of scenes there, and should have had Davis telling Chloe that he ruined her wedding when trying to convince her to kill him

I guess Clark meant Doomsday when he talked about the destroyer. I'm more surprised that they never mentioned the Brainiac connection, I was kind of hoping Davis would bring it up in the end.

One thing is for sure - they have all forgotten about the wedding

That was something that was, frustratingly, left vague. Because if they did know, then the stuff that Clark was saying to Davis when he was in the cage is rather bizarre. Obviously he and Clark are not the same thing at all.

Yeah...they should really clear that part up because it really is annoying and it make the characters look very stupid!

Look at it like this.He called him Destroyer and mentioned Jor El's words at the Talon scene in the end.He also used the same facts when he described to Lana what was that thing that crushed the wedding. So they know.Clark might think that if Davis had grown up with love around him,Doomsday would have never woken up.You known what supports that theory? That Davis gets red eyes for the first time when they abandon him.So maybe in Smallville Doomsday get's unleashed whenever Davis feels abandoned or threatened.

What he said. I think they know. It's Davis' "coming out" episode, and I must say what a relief. Now we can move onto the final battle.

I was wondering about this as well. How much do they know? It makes Chloe's decision to take Davis in a bit more controversial if she understands he was the one who crashed her wedding, hospitalized Jimmy, kidnapped her, drugged Jimmy, lied to Chloe/Jimmy about drugging Jimmy, and lied about killing people to Chloe/Jimmy. This is of course is not to mention that he is the earth's "ultimate destroyer" destined to kill her best friend.

Chloe was running from Davis in the Isis Foundation when she knew who he was, which seems to suggest she had a better understanding, but then she turns around and takes him in at the end.

And that explains the poor dead bird how?

Or Doomy attacking that nightclub in Prey? Or the reference to the dead nun in Prey? Or all the people he went out looking for, specifically to kill?

That was all because he felt abandoned and threatened?

We don't know what happens before in each case and he goes all Doomsday. In Bride he felt threatened by the cop.In Infamous he felt threatened by Linda. In Turbulence he felt threatened by Jimmy.I am not saying it's a given but that's something i have noticed. And maybe Clark feels that if he had grown up like him he would have had better control of the beast. That dialogue at the lab suprised me too but Clark definitely knew he was Doomsday.

It's one of those Microsoft Updates that Davis keeps receiving. Blackout=Reboot. Must have been one that wiped out that part of his memory.

Yes, I think that they know that Davis is the Destroyer but whether or not they know he is the monster is undetermined. Yes, they saw his eyes turn red but did they connect that with the monster that crashed Chloe's wedding? I'm not sure.

They did.At the final Chlark scene at the Talon,Clark said that he expected more from the Destroyer Jor El told him about. And if you remember at the start of Legion he told Lana that the thing that crushed the party was the Destroyer that Jor El warned him about.

Did Clark and Chloe ever make the connection between Davis and the "Monster with bony eyelids"? Or do they still think Doomsday is out there and is a separate killer? Davis never really transformed in the episode, so it's not clear to me if Clark and Chloe know this or not.

Tough to see all the threads, I know. Unless you think there's a different angle here?

I kind of hoped they would see the actual transformation, but Chloe got the liquid kryptonite on him before it happened. (How does kryptonite become liquid like that anyway? I thought Mercury is the only metal that is liquid at room temperature!)
Do you think the original artist who drew Doomsday knew how much this creature would be recognized by the boney eyebrows?

I'm not sure if they did or not. They know he's Kryptonian and he was sent to kill Clark. However, Clark did say Jorel said he was the ultimate destroyer and it wasn't much of a fight.

So . . . I'm just not sure.

I agree but it is really weird, no one speaks about "the beast" at the wedding and even after, Clark and Chloe don't speak about the beginning of the transformation (when Davis had his red eyes). It is weird and as someone said it, it makes the characters a little "stupid" lol

They got it. That's why when davis's eyes went weird, Chloe "killed" him.
