More commonly known on the board as Chlete!
I don't see it happening... no chemistry!

wow you're right...no chemistry at all! AM and TW on the other hand have plenty of chemistry to go around.

I think they have great chemistry as freinds. It's hard for me to tell if they would have good romantic chemistry since their ship wasn't really explored much and Chloe never expressed any romantic interest in him. I like Chlete in theory.

Chlete or Phloe would never work out.
Even after she found out in Truth, she didn't change in relation to Pete in Talismon. She still only had best friend interest.
It's not like Clark at the end of S1. When he found out Chloe liked him, he did change. He did kinda like her. (grr...stupid Chloe and her "defensive" mode. would have saved us two years of almost unbearable heartburn).

What I would have liked to have seen is Pete moving in on Chloe after "Vortex". When Chloe switched into defensive mode and Pete was there to comfort her, that would have been the perfect opportunity. And let's not forget, it was revealed in "Nicodemus" that Pete had some feelings for Chloe, and was at least on some level jealous of her infatuation with Clark. I think that could really have been something, an examination of the friend/lover dynamic. But they just let it go.
It's too bad Pete's gone now; I guess we'll never get to see this happen. I think it was a real missed opportunity on the writers' part.

what i wanted to happen was pete and chloe h/u so that clark would get jealous and then see how chloe really is in a relationship and want her!

I agree with Axl Van Sixx on this one. Poor guy. I miss him, they should have had a whole lot more about him instead of making him just the painfully normal (but cool) guy who's there to contrast Clark's specialness. We could have had a whole lot more about him, but instead they cut him out. He and Chloe might have been cute together, even if he did date lana in the comics or something, but then the writers also killed that idea too and cut the chlete short. *sighs*

Aww, I'm still sure Pete is going to end up with Lana (cause I'm hopeless). I mean he left town, he didn't die. And Lex said something to him about owing him a favor in the future, which alludes to the comics to me. I have unbelievalbe faith in the PLana ship. And believe, unlike in other incarnations, it will be a case of true love. Yes, I'm nieve and I love being that way.
But I would have liked more of a friends/lovers/jealousy thing with the original trio of friends (Pete/Chloe/Clark). Sadly the writers never really explored or expoilted it. And they got rid of Petey just when his story could have taken on some intresting emotional twist.

I've watched a few of the early episodes of Smallville. I'm hoping to watch the whole series before the new season starts. But anyway, one thing that's really standing out is how supportive Pete is. Every time Chloe is sad or down or ANYTHING, Pete is right there to give her a hug, rub her back, tease and tickle her to make her laugh. He even has a playful banter with her. He's much more attentive to Chloe than Clark has ever been. I might start to ship them by the end of Season 1. Too bad Pete has an inferiority complex when it comes to Clark. He's a Chlark shipper despite his love for Chloe. *sigh*
