Tess declared that Clark cannot fulfill his destiny until he defeats his ultimate enemy. The last episode of S8 is "Doomsday" and Witmer is not coming back for S9 so I"m assuming that Clark wins the battle and will come back as Superman in S9. If that isn't the plan why would the writers give Tess that dialogue?

Yea Superman will never happen on this show despite the fact they are using storylines where Clark is already Superman in the comics and TW is 31.

Not going to happen. Next season will most likely be the same as this season. More of the same!

Well its hard to say right now where season 9 could be going. Yes we know we are likely not going to see him in the suit/cape due to darn issues with WB/etc... and all that.

Well, we know that S8 ends in the battle with Doomsday and Tess stressed twice in Eternal that Clark can't be who he is until he defeats his greatest enemy. Why would they tell us all of that if they weren't going in that direction?
