Chloe is a great character and she's Clarks conscious.
Clark doesn't have the ability to reason about things when it goes against his ethics. For instance, you may not want to kill someone but if a person breaks into your house you might have to kill them to survive.
Chloe is there to do and say things Clark will not say. It took him forever to see Lex was bad because he's always looking for the good in people and this is a weakness.
I guarantee you that Clark will be mad that she's hanging around Davis. One one hand Clark is upset that she's hanging around Davis and in the next breath he wants to find his humanity even though he knows he's the ultimate destroyer.

Well Chloe just made Davis invincible so I'm not so sure that she made the right choice. Besides Chloe didn't know what exactly would happen between Davis and Clark and she chose to kill him pretty much just because Clark's life was threatened. So even though I can understand where she came from, I don't agree with it simply because this is Clark we are talking about being threatened, not some regular joe. He can take care of himself overall. I mean he's Superman!...er, he's the RBB! Lol so what Chloe did seemed a bit premature. I mean she basically freaked with his red eyes and strong voice, which granted, scared me too, but not enough to pull the lever on him. Just my opinion, but yeah...I'm a bit torn, though leaning on it being the wrong choice. i guess I'm more like Clark with the whole not killing belief.

She did the right thing. If this guy was sent to earth to kill Clark from Krypton and his eyes are turning blood red, of course she had to try and kill him.
The guy is not human and he just told Clark that his mission was to kill him and Chloe and Clark had a tough time with Brainiac.
She would have been dumb if she didn't pull the lever.

How on earth is she supposed to know that davis was going to turn stronger because of the kryptonite, after all he's from krypton too!

chloe is clark's conscious are you kidding me?
Nope.
Clarks ethics are so high, they will blind him to what he needs to do.
Have you been watching this show?
Clark is always in trouble and he needs someone like Chloe to make some of these decisions for him because he will be to locked up on wether he's doing the right thing or not.
Like Davis. On one hand, Clark wants Chloe to stay away from him and he thinks he's bad news but on the other hand Clark wants to save him after he told him that he was sent to earth to kill him and after what he just went through with Brainiac.
Chloe had to do it because Clark wouldn't.

Yeah .. Like she would of known? LOL.. He obviously didn't even know becuase he thought it would kill him.
I'm not saying her pulling the lever was right or wrong but hey if i was in that situation my instincts would be pull lever first asked questions later. Scary situation LOL
----- Added 1 Minutes later -----
Actually for a minute there it sounded to me like Clark thought Davis was a brother or something. I really gotta re watch this episode

Chloe is harboring Davis in her apartment, without telling Clark and possibly endangering Lois if she still lives there. That's not the action of someone purported to be the moral voice of the future Superman.
And Clark's ability to see the good in people isn't a weakness, it's what makes him Superman. His never giving up on people is what separates him from the villains he fights, and even from heroes like Batman, who have to see people's dark sides in order to survive.

Lois doen't live with chloe anymore she moved out when jimmy and chloe were going to get married because the appartment was too crowded to live with the love birds. SHe was going to move in with clark but then Tess gave her a big fat raise in bloodline and she found her own place.
We don't know how long she will be "harboring" davis in her basement anyways. Until the next episode airs it could be only for a day til she realizes its not a good idea or something. Right now she seems to be taking her information and using it the best she can till she can clearly think it out. At least thats what i saw personally

WHAT??
What is she supposed to do?
If she's the only one that can calm this savage beast from another planet, she has no other choice. If kryptonite only makes him stronger she has to be scared out of her mind. She knows how much damage he can do and she probably saved alot of lives by locking the door.

If by being his "conscious", you mean having completely opposite moral positions, then sure ..

Chloe did the right thing.
Here's a guy from another planet whose eyes are turning red and she just got through with brainiac,
She knows how strong Clark is and she knows how strong Davis must be if he was sent to earth to kill Clark.
Some people are trying to act morally superior so your telling me if someone broke into your house and tried to kill your family that you wouldn't kill him?
Davis had a corn field full of skelotons of people he killed and he was about to try and kill Clark and maybe her.
Of course you pull the lever in that situation.

I don't think Clark should need anyone to be "his conscience", and if thats the impression one gets from the writing, then the writing for this show is failing.
I'm not sure where they are going with this type of writing, but its sure not being done for Clark's benefit. And writing that is done to Clark's detriment is always made of fail for me, IMO.
Chloe should be a good friend to Clark, and a good support system and council. But "his conscience"? No character should be occupying that role, IMO

Yes i do watch the show thank you very much. I just couldnt understand you logic as clark and chloe have a very different stance on morality. Clark always believes theres another way while chloe on the other hand keeps telling clark he needs to kill. Clark always looks for ways that dont involve death that has usually been one of the main characteristics of superman.

Of course she is his conscious because Clark is from another planet.
She has to be because she's the only one that knows his secret and she knows how important that is and Clark doesn't.
This is why he's always in trouble.
He needs somebody to help him see what he needs to do because he's not Superman yet.

Clark does not need anybody to help him open his eyes, this should be done on his own. And im sorry i dont understand how just because clark is from another planet that chloe is conscious that makes absolutely no sense,

Of course she is helping guide him.
This is Smallville and Clark is not Superman, so he makes mistakes. Chloe helps him because he's still learning.

^Why should Chloe be guiding him? What does Chloe know about being Superman? She should give him advice every now and then, but she shouldn't his mentor and moral compass.

So that little voice in my head that tells me to ruthlessly kill the people who threaten me is actually my conscience? Cool!
I don't think "conscience" is the right word, but she does offer Clark some good practical advice.
