In season 2, Lionel pretended to be blind, so he can see what Clark can do, and he didn't disappoint.
In season 3, I think he was just busy tending to Lex.

Yeah, I think, going by what we learned tonight, Season 2 and 3 were just Lionel making sure Clark was the Traveller. I mean, last time, he had the wrong child! :\

Wish they would have kept the Kawatche legend out of it. They kind of dorked that up and didn't really need to.
