A couple of weeks ago we were told some spoilers of the upcoming episodes of season 8. It was an interview when the question was asked about the "Most shocking moment." They replied by saying, "Eternal. That's all we can say without giving it away." With that said what do you guys think this shocking moment will be?
I think it has something to do with Chloe and Davis, but really have no idea...

They will reveal Doomsday to be Lana Lang...the kryptonite has taken her over and she is now a monster. Davis Bloome is just a pawn. Hey, it could happen.
I think Clark will realize he's from Krypton - grow a pair of chestnuts, grab Lois and say - I want you to only go out with me.... and then the most shocking, shelby finds out he's been spawn from a union of Oliver and Davis
Who knows - could be

:rotfl: That is good...
I think it will be Chloe's death by whatever means. I really hope this doesn't happen though. I love Chloe's character. I would really like it if she could stay.
Maybe it will be the death of Davis Bloome when he completely consumed by the Doomsday creature.
Or.....maybe Lex will come back but I don't think that would be all that shocking.
Then again, maybe it is when Chloe is killed by Doomsday after Davis is completely consumed by the DD creature. :\

But tey were talking about in "Eternal" and that would happen in 'Stilletto" I doubt she's actually feeding anyone though.

Eternal seems to be the obvious climax in the story, so I I'm expecting some type of violent interaction between all three participating emebers of the DOOM triangle.

Jordan Elliot, a Kansas farmer wakes up in bed next to his pregnant wife Lara and realizes that the past 8 seasons were all his dreams and nightmares resulting from his anxiety over becoming a father. The End. :D

Can't wait to see it
Knowing "them", it's probably a play on words and Doomsday will get electrocuted or hit by a lightning bolt or something (to no avail obviously).
Or not.
Chloe deliberately snogging with a fully morphed and bloody Doomsday would be shocking...not to mention disgusting.
Clark trying on his mom's control-top pantyhose and admiring himself in the mirror would be shocking...and wrong on several levels.
Finding out that Ollie has actually been Lex in "disguise" all season would be shocking...and confusing and completely anticlimactic at this point.
Jimmy sleeping with Tess to get back at Chloe would be shocking...and destroy any remaining respect I had for the Tess character at this point.
I give up.

Anyone think maybe Chloe might hook up with Davis? It would be kinda shocking.

The only thing that could be described as "shocking" on this show would be Lana showing up confessing that she's really a man....
Other than that, there isnt much that would shock me. The past season has opened up opportunities for people to do anything they want....
Oh yeah... I almost forgot something else that would be shocking.... The episode might actually deal with this strange Clark character that we dont know much about.....

Well considering this season's zero moments of shock it doesn't take much to get on top of the list.

Doomsday turns out to have a really bad case of arachnophobia. Cue Spiderman theme from the cartoon show. :D

I wouldn't say there were no shocking moments. The end of Identity with Chloiac killing Sebastian was pretty shocking.

I'm thinking it will have something to do with the Destruction of Krypton, the Rivalry between Jor-El and General Zod, and Jor-El's plan to pass on the Legacy of Krypton's greatness and Zod's determination for his plan Not to be thwarted, but to Rule or Destroy, and BOTH placed their Best Laid Plans in the Success or Failure of their OFFSPRING. Jor-El's 'natural' son and Zod's genetically engineered 'Being' thrown together in a struggle for Dominance (in Zod's twisted mind).
Jor-El's plan was simply to save his son who was the Last Son of Krypton. He'd hoped that with the effects of Earth's 'Yellow Sun' giving Kal-El super abilities, he could earn himself a place in his 'new home' by his noble and heroic deeds, thereby setting an example for the people to emulate. The Legend of the Kansas Kawache Tribe included the story of the 'person' who fell to earth in a rain of fire from the heavens. All of this whole scenario was depicted on the Kawache Cave Walls, and now their meaning will be more clarified, especially the part concerning Naman and Sageeth, the two-headed beast. The Great Fortold Struggle was not to be between Clark and Lex, as assumed, but between Clark/Superman and Davis/Doomsday. I don't think that Jor-El had any awareness, though I don't understand why not, of the 'genetic material' being attached to baby Kal-El's ship.
So, the SHOCKING thing will be that there were TWO boys who came to Earth on the same day; each with a Different Purpose, though. Lionel Luthor, after years of obsession and study about The Traveler, finally learned how to solve the puzzle of Clark's arrival. In "Veritas", he was hysterical and afraid and frantically trying to Warn Clark about the "Horrible THING that was Coming!" It's obvious that Clark wasn't "the One" to be feared and 'the little purplish globe' was Connected to Controlling The Traveler... Not Clark. Before the end of Season 7 we heard about Sam Witwer's casting to be a 'regular', then we heard about the real possibility of Smallville having "Doomsday" in their midst. Learning that he and Clark arrived here together, "kindred spirits", is Shocking!
I hope someone Explains how the 'Genetic Material' survived the trip through space attached to Clark's ship. Now, That's a real mind puzzler, IMO.

That's not much of a puzzle. It's Doomsday's genetic matter. It's supposed to be capable of surviving anything. Even if it dies it will come back stronger than before and immune to the cause of death. DD even survived Darkseid's Omega Beam.
In fact, if DD was already created on Krypton then he should have survived its destruction and should have been floating in space during the time Clark was running after Lana and beating meteor freaks.

Lana can't come back; DD is immune to kryptonite.
Tess is Smokin

Chloe's fetish for Aliens

I didn't find anything shocking in this episode.
Maybe they're trying to say that either because Davis is now immune to kryptonite or that Chloe will end up with him, I'm not sure.
Chloe getting over her marriage so quickly isn't shocking, a little surprising, but certainly not shocking.
Maybe all the dead bodies in the field? That's the only thing that comes close to being somewhat shocking to me, but again we know he's been killing a lot, so not really.

I believe it wasn't the most shocking moment, but the most UNEXPECTED
The Most Unexpected Moment
"One word: 'Eternal' (aka Episode 18). If we said any more, it wouldn't be unexpected."

I know its kinda being specific, but I would say there are some unexpected moments, but no shocking ones

the shock was supposed to refer to Tess having the Orb

Chloe => offscreen Doomy SEX
Chloe/Clark moral and ethic conversation
Tess CRAZY eyes during all episode.... Tess complex of femele version of JOR-EL (about destiny)
I didn't see anything to qualify as the most shocking thing of Season 8. I was much more shocked by the ridiculous exit of Lana and the complete breakdown of Chloe's character in the past episodes.

Little Davis looking like scrambled egg when he came out of the egg
Tess' whole kawachi cave theory and judas speech (lame)
Clark actually being a little assertive
davis telling chloe he's in love with her

I found a lot of it shocking such as:
Davis is Doomsday the next Iron Chef; and mac and cheese is his specialty. Now who would have seen that coming?
Davis's weakness is his index finger. A knife plunged into his chest shatters, but his index finger is cut and bleeds after a paring knife incident. It's Doomsday's Achille's Heel.
Davis is said to be the Sageeth. Too bad the mytical knife that identifies the Sageeth already disintegrated when Lex touched it. Now, we'll just have to take tptb's word on it.
Chloe decides, "Forget apologizing to Jimmy even though he was right all along", I prefer an alien mass murderer. Who would have thought Chloe had those type of fantasies?
A basement door in the Talon has a mysterious locking system that only works from the inside after you already gained access to the room. It's seldom you see that on a basement door and speaks volumes of the enigma that the town of Smallville has become to the rest of the civilized world.

bah--everyone is putting locks on the inside of basement doors these days in anticipation of the coming zombie apocolypse.
