Last-minutes surprises

Ok! is it me, or smallville is really different now???
are PS3 taking a different aproach on this show?
for example, the last-minutes surprises, don't remember it beeing done before...

Infamous: we see clark/lois almost date ending with anguish;(first time, may i add)

Turbulence: we see clark changing clothes in a phone boot;

Hex: chloe is officially a " watchtower".

i seriously wasn't expecting those scenes...was it only me? or they surprised you too???

Bride- Chloiac and Doomy , Lex watching the wedding's destruction
Abyss- Jor el is drained by Brainaic (using JM's voice was a nice surprise)

i was watching the pilot and infamous yesterday, if it weren't for clark and chloe i would say i was watching two different shows:)

I think this season has been great because of all of these surprises.

It's a FAR cry from prior seasons where Director's Cuts and Webclips would be released that would completely ruin the end of an episode. I have to admit I've been surprised with almost each episode except for the godawful Power/Requiem arc. I actually called that BS. And I usually am not one who is easily surprised. It has been very pleasant actually.

Yeah there have been a lot surprises that have come out of left field. I've liked them all, with the exception of Power and Requiem, especially the ending of Hex.

For sure, the Infamous ending was a big surprise. I am still in shock. It is to me one of the best scene in SV. I just can't stop watching it

Committed : I don't remember if it is the last scene but at least it is at the end, when Lois is out of the elevator and she is gone, we seen Clark's face thinking of what she was just telling him...I like this scene so muchhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

because of all the spoilers i saw, i wasn't prepared to be surprised(in a good way of course)...
regarding power/requiem i knew that that would happen, 'cause it was lana last eppis they would do everything to satisfy clana fans and that meant kicking clois fans on the balls, for those who have them...
to me it meant spending the entire week washing my eyes over and over again... oh well...:\

The surprise endings have been part of the show for a really long time IMO.

Like in Obsession, the ending with Adam Knight was a shock. Or in Cyborg when we find out that Lionel Luthor kept the tape of Clark from Lockdown. The surprise in Gemini was pretty big too where we saw Clark frozen in the FOS.
But YMMV.

I'm really starting to like the last minute surprises and ending scenes they have been using. I was really starting to get sick of how every episode would end in the barn or daily planet. This season has been heading in the right direction.
