At first, I was disappointed because this wasn't truly a "Clois" episode. But, then I realized, this was exactly a Clois episode disguised as a Chlark/Chlois episode.
Even though we all technically saw Chloe, what we really got a glimpse of was Lois & Clark. So, I'm not sitting down and playing dumb, and I'm calling TPTB on their grotesquely admirable and enjoyable Clois episode.
What do you call it?

Clois... Clark only was allowed to know it was Chloe for so long, it was Clois with just Clark's feelings being played.

Clois or as I like to call it Tomerica. But yeah it was more focused on Clark and they way he sees Lois and his feelings and everything for her.

Tomerica. I like that. ( I hope to remain perpetually confused on the difference between Tomerica and Clois.)

Lol, the only reason I said that was because she wasn't herself (Lois wise) but it was still Erica on the screen.

How is it that there aren't more Tomerica videos on youtube??? That chemistry must be documented at every chance lol

For me it was a Chloe episode. It was about her moving on and coming into her own. But, yeah, it had some nice clois moments.

It was a mixture of a Chloe and Clois episode for me. We got some insights into Chloe's thoughts and finally some Clark prespective on the whole Clois situation.

I don't know if it necessarily means less Clois but I am just feeling very apprehensive about the potential tediousness/dragged out nature of the two if this continues.
Maybe its because of the Clana dead horse rearing it's ugly head mid-season but, having said that, the writers have overcome the odds on many occassions now... and I'm sure if they somehow manage to play this out a world away from the Clana chronicles, then Clois will be all the more rewarding in the end.

Even though I'm a Chlarker all the way, I admit that this episode was almost entirely pure Clois. After all, even Chloe was giving Clark advice about his relationship with her cousin by episode's end.

I ALWAYS want more Clois, this episode was another seal of approval. It was Clark, it was Chloe, and it was Lois, and I loved it all. When he didn't know Lois was Chloe and when he did, Clark in both cases was perfection. Chloe was able to read him like a book like the best friend she is and Clark returned the favor. This episode had me not only wanting more Clois, it also had me liking and wanting a little more Chlark.
Back to Clois, I wonder if that actually WAS Clark that Lois was laughing with on the phone at Chloe's birthday party? Obviously, he picked up on her irritation from Infamous about the lack of contact and was returning her calls so as not to be on her bad side. And the Odyssey twist with Lois squeaking her chair, the not so hidden jealousy at the thought of Lois going on a date, and his look as he watched her leave was a thing of beauty.
Encore!!

I thought the end scene was exactly how I wanted to see Clois. I don't want a rush job but a subtle exploration into their mututal attraction. I didn't think much of the "loving look" even if Clark thought it was Chloe. The rest of the episode was an exploration into the Clark/Chloe psyches, and the Chlark friendship.

It was more Clois because most of the time Clark thought Chlois was really Lois. It finally gave us a clear glimpse of Clark's feelings for Lois. Chlois was like the audience, able to point out the ways that Clark treats Lois differently from anyone else. Although it would have been great to have real Lois more, it was a step down the Clois path. Woohoo!

Well...about this question...
I'm thinking I do want more Clois after this, I am talking about the last scene though, it was a sad scene. Lois was acting fair, but Clark was just realizing his own feelings for Lois. Dammit.
Feels like it's sad, so I don't know what to think after that if I want more Clois after this sad moment scene. But yeah, definetly want more, because this scene was good, it caught my attention.
Yes more.
----- Added 3 Minutes later -----
It was both Lois and Chloe underneath it all. Most of all Lois, not saying that just because I like her more than Chloe.
It's just that the scene where Chloe as Lois is trying to force Clark to fly, Clark thinks he had a normal life though, so it is hard for Chloe to convince him, Clark would only listen to her is he knew it was Chloe.
Even though Clark was brainwashed into thinking he was just a regular mild mannered reporter, he still would have listened to Chloe. He couldn't believe Lois either way...as the dumb Clark, or the real Clark.
Upsets me though.

This is the Clois that I always appreciated, the slow build-up Clois. They can have angst AND fun at the same, with both still being friends after everything.
This just made me remind why I always hated Clana...

I don't want Clois because Lois to me is tolerable at best. I don't want Clark to end up with someone as rude, obnoxious, and arrogant as Lois is. And they have no romantic chemistry whatsoever.

You are totally right. It makes the show funnier. But I like the Tomerica idea too. But as you know as long as we can see Clark/Tom like he was in Hex, it is great:p

I think it's more fitting to say we'll see more Blurois instead of Clois, because that's what it will be!!!
There were just more Clois bones thrown out last night, and I for one am not going to
gobble them up so quickly!! Don't play that game!
The last scene was nice. Clark seemed bothered by the fact Lois was going on a date, but the boy simply cannot open his mouth!!!!!!
If so much time has passed between when Lana left and up until now that it is acceptable he's moved on....then why can't he verbalize something in terms of his feelings??? Answer me that!!! Huh?????

The chemistry behind Lois and Clark is, in my opinion, very very good. I don't even say that just because of the mythos but also because I like the style they gave Lois and I think that she is so different from Clark (in a good way) that they make an explosive couple.

Well when I started watching from the pilot episode, I didn't think that Lois would be in 4+ seasons. I thought if anything she'd just show up at the end, considering this was supposed to be Clark's journey to becoming superman.. and to me that didn't include him working with Lois at the DP.
So while it was inevitable that he would end up with Lois.. I didn't have an interest to see Clois on the show, and especially not after how they've played it on Smallville.
Mostly it's about clois... i guess that's how i saw it. Definitely loved this ep.

This episode actually had a lot of layers. It showed Chloe's journey to figure out what she really wanted. It showed Clark's journey as well, but it also gave insight to Lois and Clark/Lois developing relationship, even with the real Lois off on assignment and not around.

This episode did have a lot of elements to it. It gave us wounderful insight into all the characters. It basically reminded me of the old days of Smallville.

Ehhh I think it would be wise to take the "Less is More" approach and focus the show more on Clark's choices as a hero and how they'll effect who he'll be.
I don't want to see them do the whole "Lana" thing over again sucking up what little time we have left in this series. I mean damm all the "Dawson Creekers" who love that drama have had their time(7 freaking seasons)
As Olliver put it, Clark's Island is still out there....and I don't want to see his Journey as a Hero overtaken anymore by "pity parties" in the barn about his love life.
Right now they've got the focus of the show just about right...Would be perfect if they would just tone back the Chloe/Jimmy/Davis Drama.

If we're just talking romance, it was obviously a Clois episode, except that it focused almost entirely on Clark's side of it. It makes a lot of sense really. In the first half of the season the show focused on Lois developing feelings for Clark. The second half focuses on Clark's growing feelings for Lois, while Lois is pulling back (afraid of being hurt I guess) and shifting her attention to the red-and-blue blur.
They're dragging out the relationship, but as long as they give us episodes like Hex and keep making Clois interactions funny I have no problem with that whatsoever.

I agree that they're dragging out the Clois relationship and they'll continue this on to S9! I have to admit, I enjoy the getting there but most probably the people behind Smallville will never give us a romantic Clois ending!

I've been wanting more Clois since S4. Their scenes were always great. I didn't want them to date back then, but I did wanted both of them to be hired at the same time. Unlike in the comics, Lois knew Clark years before he became Superman, so both could have started at the same time.

It was supposed to be an anti-Chlois type of episode but not in a serious sense but more like 'poke fun at this' way. Other than that, it was to show the audience that Clark has started to see Lois in a different light and they share these looks and all.
Fun episode. Erica Durance was really great and Tom-Erica chemistry is a delight to watch always.
