Coach Walt?

skully
05-09-2009, 06:55 PM
Not Coach Walt. He said "Kent!" (not a question) "Quit lookin' in the stands!" when Clark was looking in the stands for his father after he got tackled at his first practice session.

05-09-2009, 09:53 PM
The 1st instance of "Kent?" was asked by a FotW. Not Van McNulty or Whitney.

I'm thinking Ian said it but not sure of the episode..

skully
05-09-2009, 09:59 PM
No, it wasn't Ian Randall.

MrsK
05-09-2009, 10:02 PM
One is Greg to Lana in Metamorphosis, when she says she can't help him with his English paper because she needs to go see Clark.

skully
05-09-2009, 10:03 PM
And that's the missing one we were after, MrsK. sjm got the 2nd instance (Lois to the Admissions guy at SMC in Crusade).

So it's either sjm or MrsK that up. :)

MrsK
05-09-2009, 10:06 PM
sjm should go.

super_j_man
05-09-2009, 10:25 PM
How about:

"I'm not really....up to it."

Who said it?

skully
05-09-2009, 10:39 PM
That was Clark to Lana at the Torch in Nicodemus. He was answering her question about not going to class. The pause was when he turned around and saw her in the sexy black mini and boots. :D

Who said: "I just got home."

MrsK
05-09-2009, 11:03 PM
Martha to Clark when he is surprised to see her in Subterranean.

Who said, "Can I have some more to go?"

skully
05-09-2009, 11:24 PM
Hmm, is it background, MrsK? Sounds like something Lois might have said serving at the Talon. Or someone at the Ace of Clubs?

MrsK
05-09-2009, 11:41 PM
Well it is Lois, and it is at the Talon. It's fair to say that it is in the background; it's definitely not captioned.

skully
05-09-2009, 11:54 PM
Was she waitressing at the time? Behind the counter?

Or maybe in Reckoning after the Senate election announcement?

MrsK
05-10-2009, 12:12 AM
No, she wasn't waitressing; she was buying - got up from a table where she had been talking to another character (recurring guest), walked to the counter and spoke to the server.

Not in Reckoning.

skully
05-10-2009, 12:24 AM

Is Lois a main character at the time and is the recurring guest in more than 2 and less than 5 epis?

Questions for the morning, MrsK.

Yes, Lois is a main character at the time.
The recurring guest is in more than 5 episodes.

Is it at her time while she was working for the Inquisitor?
Yes.

skully
05-10-2009, 03:56 PM
OK, Lois worked at the Inquisitor in S6 (landing a job at the DP in early S7).

Was she talking to Oliver or Jimmy at the Talon?

MrsK
05-10-2009, 04:20 PM
She was talking to Oliver.

skully
05-10-2009, 04:44 PM
Got it. Nicely picked up, MrsK. It was near the end of Arrow when Ollie and Lois where at the Talon discussing her front page story in the Inquisitor on the Green Arrow. At the end of their conversation (after she ironically says "You don't know the Green Arrow like I do.") she goes to the counter and says your line.

I believe the line "Way to go." has been said three times. By who, to who, about what and in which episodes?

xrayvision
05-10-2009, 04:58 PM
I know Lois said it to Clark in Gone.

skully
05-10-2009, 05:02 PM
Yes, that's the 1st time it's said in the series. Lois to Clark as she walks up the stairs at the farmhouse in Gone after Clark spilled the beans on his and Lois's run-in with the military at the ruins of the safehouse.

skully
05-10-2009, 05:10 PM
Does Lex also say it to Lionel in Jitters after Earl Jenkins "jitters" off the valve handle causing the gas to spread in the plant? No.

There are several other lines in the series that go "Way to go, X" but I'm after three 3-word sentences.

I believe the line "Way to go." has been said three times. By who, to who, about what and in which episodes?

Yes, that was it. Good job, skully.

I think the guy who drove by Clark in Infamous yelled, "Way to go" just before the girl intentionally fell fro the fire escape.

I know AJ said it to Bruno in Stiletto when he knocked Jimmy out.

skully
05-10-2009, 05:21 PM
Very good MrsK. I knew you'd get the AJ line from Stiletto but thought the Infamous line may take longer.

Well done, you're up. :)

MrsK
05-10-2009, 05:32 PM
Yeah, the Infamous line was a little hard to hear clearly...

Who said, "Are you sure you want to do this?"

skully
05-10-2009, 05:35 PM
That was Lois to Jonathan offstage just before his campaign speech at the theater in Fanatic. She was concerned about security.

MrsK
05-10-2009, 06:09 PM
Nothing that will stump you, I'm sure!

Who said, "Ten years?"

skully
05-10-2009, 06:31 PM
I think that was Lois to Michael Westmore at the Talon apartment after he had come looking for Chloe in Tomb. He told Lois that his father used to run the Talon theatre and he hadn't been there for going on 10 years.

Who said: "I waited for you."

MrsK

Who said, "I found another piece of the puzzle"?

skully

Steadman - "Wave Goodbye" played in the Talon at the end of Fever

skully
05-10-2009, 08:04 PM
Too good, MrsK. Yup, it was a line from Steadman's "Wave Goodbye" at the Talon at the end of Fever.

Man, KK was gorgeous in that scene (hehe, not sure if you have a view on that. :))

MrsK
05-10-2009, 08:11 PM
Well, I don't have a strong opinion on that, :) or a particularly vivid memory of that scene, for that matter. Young Lana almost always looked good, though - I tend to notice more when they've done something weird with her make-up (e.g. yellow eye-shadow or some such) or given her something really awful to wear that makes her NOT look good; it didn't happen often!

I believe that the line, "You tried to kill me" has been said twice. By whom, to whom, etc?

1st instance was Clark to Alicia in the loft in Unsafe, after Alicia said she was surprised he remembered her name.

The 2nd instance was Lex to Edward Teague in the cathedral in Quest in the room where Lex obtained the little blue and white medallion that fitted in the orb.

1st instance is Clark to Jonathan in the barn in Legacy when Jonathan had the octagonal disk in his hand and was saying to Jor-El "You said there'd be more time."

2nd instance was Lex to Clark at the mansion in Run after Lex had shown Clark the 14th century map, and then Bart showed up after Lex left the room. Lex returned after he heard Clark talking to someone.

Yeah, my bad. I got home after a night with an old friend and was full of beans, then suddenly crashed.

So we are looking for a background line said by a single epi guest who does not work for either Luthor?

Is it said to another person i.e. is it said on a TV screen or radio?

Is the person a meteor freak? Male or female? Spoke to a main (Current? Former?)

Did they survive the epi? Are they still alive today? Do the have a name? Were they credited?

MrsK
05-14-2009, 07:27 AM
It is said to another single ep guest; a current main is nearby.
Neither the speaker nor the person spoken to are meteor freaks.
The speaker is female, survived the ep, and is presumably still alive.
The actress was credited. Character is not named.

skully
05-14-2009, 07:32 AM
Was the line said at a common location in Smallville? Or Metropolis? Is it said before or after Chloe knows Clark's secret?

MrsK
05-14-2009, 07:36 AM
Not said in Smallville or Metropolis.
After Chloe knows.

Not in Kansas or in DC. It was in the US, though.

Okay. I'll get the DVD in a sec :)
Was it said in Seattle or in Smallville?

----- Added 10 Minutes later -----

Found it. It's in the first scene in Seattle. The female coroner said it to a police officer after he asked if they had all the bodies and she wasn't sure. Then she said the line right before Clark came in sight.

Clark?

MrsK
05-18-2009, 05:46 PM
Actually, not Clark, although it sounds like something he might have said - in fact, it's something he has said as part of a longer sentence.

For everyone who is new on this thread (welcome, by the way; it's great to see so many new players! :)) a complete answer will include who said the line, who they said it to, and the episode in which it was said. In this case, it'd also be helpful to explain what was destroyed.

If that's not it, Clark to Chloe about the Legion ring in Infamous?

MrsK
05-18-2009, 06:19 PM
Tess to clark, destroyed the phantom zone crystal???
Close. Tess said, "I had it destroyed" in Injustice.

If that's not it, Clark to Chloe about the Legion ring in Infamous?
Again, close. Clark's line in Infamous was, "I destroyed the Legion ring."

skully
05-18-2009, 10:03 PM
I think Lex said "I destroyed it" to an irate Dr Steven Hamilton at the mansion in Nicodemus. He was referring to Dr Hamilton's lab after the Nicodemus flower debacle.

Who said: "Just tell me what you want."

MrsK
05-18-2009, 10:35 PM
That was the one, skully!

Yours was Tess to Plastique and Parasite in Injustice when they have her tied up in Lex's study.

I believe "It was a mistake" has been said twice. You know the rest.

MrsK
05-18-2009, 11:10 PM
Clark to Chloe at the beginning of Power about having kissed Lana.

Lex to Victoria Hardwick in Shimmer, when Amy spilled the tray of drinks on her.

Who said, "Try to stay calm, okay?"

skully
05-18-2009, 11:52 PM
I think that may have been Davis to Bette San Souci when he first came to Bette's aid after the bus explosion in Plastique.

05-19-2009, 08:15 AM
Hmm, I'm aware of a number of "We have to find him"s but not the line "I have to find him".

Is it a subtitled line, MrsK?

MrsK
05-19-2009, 12:04 PM
I'll have to check, but probably not. It is said multiple times by the same person (single ep guest).

Sandraangel86
05-19-2009, 12:05 PM
is the person under some kind of spell or nit behaving like himself? Is he uttering it?

MrsK
05-19-2009, 12:37 PM
No, neither a spell nor out-of-character. Not exactly normal, though. Clearly, the speaker is obsessed with "finding him." (We do find out in the ep who "him" is). The speaker is female.

Karafan1
05-19-2009, 12:56 PM
I "him" a main character??

MrsK
05-19-2009, 01:04 PM
No. "Him" is a single-ep guest.

05-19-2009, 01:16 PM

Sandraangel86

Was it maybe Gretchen?

MrsK
05-19-2009, 04:04 PM
It was Gretchen. The whisper-y voice that Chloe heard in Tomb kept saying, "I have to find him" - "him" being Michael, who had killed her. Well done, Sandra! :)

MrsK

Is it Chloe to Jimmy in Static after he whacks Bronson in the back of the head, knocking him to the floor? I think her line was actually, "I didn't know you had it in you."

MrsK
05-22-2009, 07:53 PM
Ilidan's been gone for a while now - anyone mind if I go ahead and post a new one without confirmation? If I'm wrong we can come back to this one...

Actually, I think it has been said twice:
Ryan to Chloe at the Torch in Stray when she is about to take his picture (he's worried he'll end up on her "freak wall");

and Chloe to Dawn Stiles in Spirit when Dawn mentions Chloe's picture being on the wall (on the poster of prom queen nominees)

MrsK
05-24-2009, 10:35 PM
I think that has been said countless times. A few:

Lionel to Lex in Memoria after Lex reveals who killed Julian
Lana to Chloe in Prodigal when they are talking about Clark's job application.
Clark to the sorority girl who offered him the chocolate cake in Recruit.
Clark to Kyle Tippet in Hug after Kyle saw him get shot.
Jimmy to Chloe in Noir when she and Clark are ignoring all the suggestions he makes.
Clark to Lois at Black Creek in Odyssey

HeroesUnlimited

Chloe in Prodigal when they are talking about Clark's job application.

This is actually the one I was after. It was supposed to be "I" with a pause afterward (that's why I included the elipse). And it was actually Lana who said it. :)

No, it wasn't Lana.

skully
05-25-2009, 10:44 PM
I believe that was said by Clark to Lex in the hallway of SMC outside Pete's room in Suspect, about why Dominic may have asked the hospital staff to keep Lex away from his badly injured father.

Who said: "Save me?"

Karafan1
05-25-2009, 10:48 PM
I'm guessing you aren't looking for the Save Me that was in the song by Remy Zero in "Tempest", right??

First instance was Lex to Jason in the mansion study in Spirit, about not ignoring the dead body (Bridgette Crosby) found on the mansion grounds.
