That was Chloe to Clark at Isis in Toxic. Ollie had asked her not to send him to hospital but Clark disagreed. She was saying that she wouldn't hesitate to do whatever Clark asked her to do, so she was giving Ollie the same trust.
Who said: "Well, I mean..." There is are similar lines but with "I" and "uh" at the end. Not them. :)
Maybe Clark to Chloe in the opening teaser of Fortune when they are trying to figure out if they had gotten married the previous night?

I think that was Lois to Clark in the same conversation in Crossfire about her online dating questionnaire that the "What Line Comes Next?" question was from. Clark was looking over her answers and took issue with her answer that one of her 'likes" was theater - told her she meant "movie theater."

Not sure about the third instance. Main to main? Before or after JK's death?

Main to SEG (sort of) after JK's death at a fairly common series location.
Okay. How about Jimmy sort of to himself, sort of to Vanessa Weber when he is snooping into Chloe's computer at Isis in Sleeper. He says, "Sewwt! See, Miss Domestic Security, there's nothing here"? I heard it as one sentence, but it could be two.

That was Ollie to Clark on the QI Jet near the end of Identity after his role-playing at the red-blur Blur got his superhero juices flowing again. He realized that was who he was not, not the party boy he'd been of late.

That was Lex to Lana in Sneeze. They were driving from MetU to Smallville after the dorms closed because of Dark Thursday, and Lana wondered hwy Lex was a bit distracted from what she was saying (he was worried about being followed) and wondered aloud if he regretted offering her a room at the mansion.

I think that was Lois to Jimmy at the DP in Descent after Jimmy had shown Lois the blurry pic of Lionel being pushed out of the LCHQ window. Lois suggested they could upload the pic to the Isis computer system to improve the image, and Jimmy said they could use Chloe's computer skills, as long as they could pry Chloe away from Clark. Lois assured Jimmy she would definitely want to be included (same DNA).
Who said: "Yeah, that's pretty much how I felt."
I believe that was Chloe to Lois at the end of Committed when Lois is watching the video of her toast at Chloe and Jimmy's engagement party and is horrified at what she said.
Who said, "Well this is not about business."

I think that was also from Committed. I believe it was Oliver to Tess when he wandered into the mansion study to complain that Tess wouldn't return his calls yet had time to buy the Star City Towers right out from under him. Tess said "Business is business" and Ollie responded with your line, and thought Tess's move was more about revenge than business.

Pretty sure that was Clark to Lana and Chloe in Dichotic after he rescues them from Ian Randall. Could be other cases though, thats the first I thought of.
Who says: "The liquor seems to be overpowering the butter."
Just watched that episode as part of the rewatch. :) That was Lionel to Lex in Accelerate when he interrupts Lex's cake tasting. Funny line!
However, the line you gave isn't actually the line I was looking for. In Dichotic, Clark says, "I know that you each have your issues with me, but you have to understand that I would never let anyone hurt you."
The exact line I want is "You have to know that I would never hurt you." I'm pretty sure it has only been said once.
Lucky Luke
10-31-2011, 02:10 AM
lol yeah it was a pretty funny line, me and my cousin used to joke about it all the time!
Hmm ok. What about in Splinter when Clark is talking to Lana in the hospital?
Here's a super easy one, just coz: "THE DAY IS COMING!"
Nope. That line was, "Lana, you know I would never do anything to hurt you." Believe it or not, Clark isn't the one who says this line. :)
"The day is coming" was repeated over and over by Dr. Walden in Calling. Clark hears a voice (Jor-El's?) saying it when he is in the field with Lana in the same episode.
Still working on, "You have to know that I would never hurt you."

Actually, in neither case is the speaker referring to Clark. In fact, both times, the person is speaking to Clark about someone Clark is looking for. One in S3, one in S7.

The only time I remember that line being used was part of a line from Lex when he's talking to the FBI agent about bringing down Lionel in Crisis.
But that instance was part of a longer line, not a full sentence. I think maybe skully was after Clark's line to Zatanna at the DP in Warrior when she asks if they could keep their team-up rolling. Cool to see some familiar faces returning to the Trivia threads. :D
That line was said by Clark to Jor-El in the FoS early in Blue after Clark had been drawn to Kara's crystal that he'd hidden in the barn. He heard Lara's voice, grabbed the crystal and was transported to the Fortress. Clark believed his mother needed help.
Who said: "Clark, what on Earth are you talking about?"
That was Martha to Clark at the end of Hostage when he implies that she was the one who incapacitated him with kryptonite - the Red Queen.
Who said, "Only if it's kept."

That was Lex to Amanda Rothman at Club Zero (in the 3 years earlier opening teaser) in Zero about Amanda's comment on the Club's motto "Zero consequences" that it was quite a promise.
Who said: "Got one?" I believe it's been said twice.
Well, one is Chloe to the JSA, regarding her need for a computer. Courtney then proudly shows her their ancient computer. :)
Will have to think about the other...

Ah! I believe the other might have been Chloe to Lana when she is taking her deepest desires poll in Nicodemus
----- Added 3 Minutes later -----
Who said, "Let's see it." Again, I think it has been said twice.

The first was Adam Knight to Lana at the SMC physical therapy clinic in Asylum. He was urging her to do another lap of the parralle bars.
Was the second Oliver on the QI Jet in Bride asking Clark for Lex's router that Clark had swiped for him. Clark refused because Oliver wanted to act against Lex immediately but Clark said he wasn't going to let Chloe down on her wedding day. Ollie's tech guy got the info via wifi anyway. I heard the line as "So, let's see it."
I'll wait for confirmation.
That's it. I just listened to the line again, and I think you're right; there is a "so" at the beginning. :)

That was a nurse to Clark in "Veritas" telling Clark he can now visit the Brainic coma induced Lana
Who Said: "This is who I am."
I think that was Faora to Clark in Conspiracy after he warned her about wearing her dog tags for all to see
Who said, "That's the plan."

That was Lois to Chloe at the Talon in Prototype after Lois had given Chloe the triple espresso mocha cappulatte and some love advice and Chloe told her to stay away from the advice column at the Inquisitor.
Who said: "I think this is the last straw."
That was Clark to Chloe and Pete in Nicodemus about the paper Dr. Hamilton wrote about meteor rock being used to irradiate dormant plant seeds being the final proof they need that he is involved in bringing back the Nicodemus flower. (Not exactly the correct use of the phrase "Last straw", but...)
Who said, "Keep working."
