Yes, but clearly audible. :)
Okay. I think it was in Idol at the power plant where the Wonder Twins had stopped the diamond heist the night before. It was said by a workman in the background when Clark and Lois were talking about the Blur not having called her for so long. Yes?
skully
11-22-2009, 03:00 AM
Yes, indeedy. Well done, MrsK. :D
Who said, "I didn't tell them"? I believe it has been said twice.
Clark to Pete in Exodus. Clark didn't tell his parents about his fear that Jor-El would control him by noon.
Also, maybe Clark to Lana in Sacred, when they are on the LuthorCorp jet to China? Clark says he didn't tell his parents about his trip.
Well done, jsm. :) You've got them both.
Thanks!
Who said "The future."
I'm not sure how many times it has been said, I'm pretty sure it's been said more than once, but just name one instance.
skully
11-22-2009, 09:39 PM
I think "The future" as a complete sentence has been said quite a few times. Let's see, I make it 6 times.
Bart to Chloe at the Talon in Run about where he was from.
Lex to Lana at the LuthorCorp virus lab in Oracle after she'd asked what the place was.
Rokk to Clark early in Doomsday about hoping he was not too late for "The future".
Chloe to Dr Emil at Watchtower in Savior about where she thought Lois had been.
Clark to Chloe in the barn in Savior about what Alia knew. Chloe then repeated the line back to Clark.
----- Added 2 Minutes later -----
Who said: "I can take it if I choose."
That was Davis Bloome to Clark in Eternal. The full line was, "It's my life, Clark. I can take it if I choose."
----- Added 2 Minutes later -----
Who said, "I haven't seen this in ages"?
That sounds like Chloe to Oliver in the opening scene in Hex. She is referring to the book Tales of the Weird and Unexplained.
----- Added 2 Minutes later -----
Who said "Nice catch"
Off the top of my head I can think of this line appearing twice.
Remember, The phrase "Nice catch" I am looking for is a complete sentence.
For instance "Alright, nice catch", "Nice catch, buddy" or "Ooh, nice catch" are not acceptable.
That sounds like Chloe to Oliver in the opening scene in Hex. She is referring to the book Tales of the Weird and Unexplained.

Absolutely correct on the Hex quote.
I believe the first instance of "Nice catch" was Sam Phelan to Clark in the barn in Rogue after he had dropped the generator on Clark.
I think Clark also said it to Shelby at the end of Krypto after Shelby caught a frisbee.
And Lex definitely said it to Clark in Mercy when Clark called his attention to the chipped figure that contained the wireless transmitter in Lionel's office.
Correct! I had forgotten about the line from Krypto.
All right, who said, "Why are we here?" I believe it has been said twice.

Was that Lana to Bizarro Clark in Gemini?
She says something like Why are we here, its not like this is coffee on the boardwalk or something like that right?
skully
11-29-2009, 11:01 PM
Fairly close, I think, MB, but no cigar. I think Lana's line at Isis in Gemini was "This isn’t exactly hot chocolate on the boardwalk. What are we doing here?"
I think the two instances of "Why are we here?" that MrsK is after are:
1st instance - Kal-El (Clark) to Lois at SMC early in Crusade where she'd taken him to get him checked out.
2nd instance - Clark to Raya at the dead Fortress in Fallout where they'd gone so that Raya could reroute whatever residual power was still left to send a signal to Baern.

11-29-2009, 11:39 PM
haha I watch the complete Series once EVERY month! I have seen every episode over 100 times, but When I try to think of where I heard something I draw a blank! It reminds me of when I was in High School, I was terrible at tests! I always knew all the information, but once it was right in front of me, my mind would go BLANK.

 Thanks Skully! I am quite dedicated to the show!!! When the episodes are on I can recite every word of it before the characters do, but when I think about it I cant.
I can think of the quote you wrote down being said, but Im drawing a blank as usual. Im not giving up on trying to figure it out though.
skully
11-30-2009, 12:00 AM
Wow, that is just awesome, Amanda. I too recite the lines before they are said. It's why I normally watch the show alone, because it drives others nuts :D
MannaBanana
11-30-2009, 03:37 AM
haha thanks Skully!:p
Alright I think I got it! It was Clark to Lois in Pandora right? The Full quote was "I almost lost you once. I don't want it to happen again"
Please tell me thats right!
I can confirm that answer, Amanda. Well done! :)
skully
11-30-2009, 12:46 PM

What curly line can you give us?

Actually that wasnt the answer I was looking for. I guess I didnt realize it was said more than once. It was Griff to Lex in Lexmas too
Sorry! And you are right. I didn't even try to think whether it had been said more than once; the Lois instance is the first thing I thought of.
That was Gina to Jimmy and Lois in Descent

11-30-2009, 08:44 PM
I know that was Clark to Chloe, I just cant think of the episode
Was it in Bride? When they were in the celler?
No, it wasn't in Bride, and he didn't say it to Chloe. I'm sure you're thinking of a similar line in Promise, but in that episode Clark said, "Letting Lana go is the hardest thing I've ever had to do, Chloe. If you don't know that, then you don't know me as well as I thought you did" the first time around, and "Giving up Lana is the hardest thing I've had to do in my life, and if you don't know that, then you don't know me very well" the second time we see the scene.
Clark did say the line, though, so you are on the right track. :)

11-30-2009, 09:05 PM
Oh wait it was Clark to Rokk in Legion right?

skully
12-09-2009, 04:46 PM
Good news, MB!! :D
And you absolutely right with the quote. It was Clark to Tess at the mansion in Kandor. The full line (just before he grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the floor) was "You're lying. You have operatives all over the world tracking aliens. You know everything."
Whatcha got for us? :)

12-09-2009, 06:11 PM
I think that was Davis to Chloe at Isis in Toxic when Chloe found him looking through her stuff then they discussed Ollie's close call the night before and how smart Chloe was (she'd worked out which plant to make the antidote from to save Ollie). Davis said "Level with me, Chloe. Are you some kind of genius? I'm embarrassing you."
Who said: "Better?"
I believe that was Clark to Lois in Idol after she said she hoped they could carpool and get to know each other better. His response was, "Better? You tell me the color of your underwear every day. What else is there to know?"
skully
12-09-2009, 07:12 PM

Who said: "Get him out." I believe it's been said twice.
Well, Lionel said it to his security team about Pete when he was diverting their attention so that Clark could steal the kryptonite key in Exodus.

And I believe the other instance was in Bizarro when Clark burst into the operating room to find out what happened to Chloe. The doctor said it to some of the other staff.

Ooh, such a Lex line - I'm amazed he only said it once. :)
He said it to Lana at the mansion in Talisman after Lana angrily wanted to know why he'd held onto the Talon (he was now selling) for so long if it was such a bad investment. He'd done it for her.
Who said: "Let me see it." I believe it's been said twice.
One was Jason to Clark at the temple in Sacred - he wanted to see the "map."

Sort of background-ish. It is said by a main, and not in the context of flying or leaping.

So maybe on the back of a bike - Clark to Lana in Exile? Or something similar?
Is it recent? Is the main current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?
Not on a bike; something larger. Not said by Clark, not said to Lana.
Not recent. Main is former, multi-season female, never a guest, alive, older than Clark.

Ah, was it on the video at the end of Vengeance (still makes me get all misty) when young Clark was on the tractor with Jonathan. Martha (who was doing the videoing) can be heard to tell Clark to hang on tight before Jonathan says "What, are you kidding? This young man's a man of steel. Look at him!"

I don't think it was, mm86. I think the line was said after Velocity and I'm pretty sure it was said by a single season main to a multi-season main (who was later a guest) in an episode that we saw something happen for the one and only time it has happened in the series. :)
