so what do you guys think.
I don't know why I'm being a bit irrational and paranoid, but based on tonight's episode. do you think that Lois is finally closing the Clark door on her life now?

Nah, it's a self-defense wall.

Not even a little bit.
She is, however, protecting herself.

Nope.
She's closing herself off but that's only because she DOES care about him and refuses to open herself up again because she thinks she's just going to get hurt again.

Gosh, thomas, I wish! Really, I do. I know that sounds bad, but, I don't trust this writing now. :\ Once again, Clark didn't verbalize anything about his so-called feelings for Lois!! I really would have thought that if he were going to talk to anyone about it, it would have been Chloe, but he just changed the subject w/ her.
I wanted to shove that bagel down his throat!!!!
I'm SOOOOOOOOOOO glad that Lois is going on that date!! ;) That's my girl!
I'm just not feeling the Clois for this season...maybe next...who knows?:\

I think she's accepted that he's not interested (as far as she knows), and she's picking herself up, dusting herself off, and going on with her life. But, she's still friends with Clark. A pretty healthy attitude, I think.

Nope....not at all.
I think she's just done being the one chasing him.
If he wants her...he's going to have to make it happen, just as it should be! ;)

why else would she bust his chops AGAIN
No, she's not over him. But she's moving on.
Thank God.

Absolutely not!! Lois is just being Lois, the walls are up. She shielding her heart and rebuilding her walls but it was obvious after tonight's final Clois scene that she loves him....she's a disappointed because of the way things turned out but she is nowhere near being over Clark.

I think so, too. She's not being all angsty about it or treating him like dirt. She's not avoiding him or being mean.
She's still calling him and teasing him. But when he makes a comment that makes it seem like he's trying to suck her back in (like crash her date) she lets him know that she won't let him do that.

I mean I really understand where Lois is coming from. I'm happy that she's accepting dates now and isn't brooding over Clark like other women have...but still...I'd hate to think that she's completely over him and won't give him that chance again in a long time (like until he's officially superman)..that would suck

i dont think so like others have said they both have their walls they are putting up. This just makes the end so much better. Because its getting developed at a better pace and done differently then the whole lana and clark relationship mess.

well I guess this is what they meant when even though there are sparks, flying..their insecure walls are preventing them from doing anything about it.

That's my first thought thomas. I think we'll get Lois/RBB and not Clois on SV. It's probably the only feasible way to do things given this is Smallville and he won't wear the suit or become fully Superman. And...well...at least it's sticking to canon, no?:\

well the thing is though....Clark would need a suit or costume of some kind to interact with Lois where she can visibly see him and not know that he's Clark.
Also, it's been proven that Lois doesn't give her feelings away easily, and like she said in Infamous, she's been down the hero road many times before, but always made a giant u turn, but with Clark, it was different.
If she doesn't know that the RBB is Clark, she would most likely make another U turn.
And Clark wouldn't want to have a relationship with Lois through means of an fake identity. He would want to do it as himself.

Yeah I agree with what most of you said. Lois was blown off by Clark and now she has gone into defense mode. Clark will eventually realize that he should have made a move and that is what he will likely do eventually in a later episode.

Agree. And you know what, I liked this Lois better. Self-pity, angsty Lois is not my kind of Lois.

Also, it's been proven that Lois doesn't give her feelings away easilyI never saw that with Oliver, Graham, or AC. Clark's the only one she's really been this coy with.

Absolutely. I actually love how mature Lois has been about this since she returned. She calmly proposed that they talk about what happened, but gave him an out. And when he took the out, she decided to move on with her life. That makes me happy.

You are so right. And honestly, after the hell he put Lois through obsessing over Lana, I would love to see him falling for Lois more every day and her getting more distant. I think Lois deserves to see the man drool and chase after her a bit....turnabout being fair play and all.

Its amazing how they can walk around without knocking stuff over. I'de have a hard time seeing where I was going with walls up that high.
Shes not over him, and these other dates she has is either a lie, or else something to pass the time. She's got it bad for him, and doesnt know how to handle it.

well Grant as she said was her rebound and because of her experience with AC and Oliver, more with Oliver actually, she wants to guard her feelings because she doesn't want her heart to get broken again.

I'm not sure what "high walls" means in a relationship like this. They are still friendly and work together. Denial and pretense, maybe, but walls? Nah.

She isn't over him! She is just playing hard to get! Going out with a guy?
She is totally just trying to get him jealous:p Clark just has to start putting on the moves and then she will open up and confess her undying love for him.

No, and I don't think she ever will be.
Sure, she'll get distracted by the guy in red and blue, but she'll always have feelings for Clark. It will just take some time and a lot of convincing before those feelings resurface once again.

No way. The way she was looking at him while making the creaky noises with the chair...looks like she just wanted to jump onto him! But she probably wants him to come after her now...I mean shes been having feelings for him for a while and Clark is just blind....I mean she freakin admitted she loved him...and then made up obvious lies...shes had enough..time for Clark to chase her if he wants her

First of all, AWESOME avatar. LOL... that was a good episode.
Secondly, I agree that it was a bit ambigious as to whether or not she really had a date. However, someone mentioned this on another board and I have to agree: Durance is hot. It's more than plausible that a single woman that looks like THAT would have no problem getting asked out on dates everywhere she goes.
I think, for me, the part that threw me off was the "first class" line. I understand that it was written in there to show that the person asking her out was well off. But the problem I had is that I immediately thought, "How on earth would you get a chance to talk to someone in first class? No way that the DP sprung for that."
So, it kind of pulled me out of the moment. I think that the use of the word "plane" or "airport" would have been better. More believable and less likely to make it seem like Lois was just sticking it to Clark.
Regardless -- her saying that was worth it because of the expression on Clark's face. And his immediate plan to interupt her date. That was nice to see - and funny.

Lois isn't over him but she is starting to raise the walls again.I don't think they will make a big deal out of this date thingy.Did anyone notice that she admitted that he stood her up?Didn't she say that she never made it to the cafe either?

No. If she were over him, she would have said that she had no plans and she would have taken him up on his offer to work together if a story came up. She needs to create some boundaries and distance precisely because she is so attracted to him. She knows that Clark needs to be the pursuer, not her.

Ooh, good call. I don't see that as a plothole, though. She will play that slip of the tongue off if it ever comes up again in consversation.

She's still a little hurt, but trying to move on and not let it spoil their friendship. Good for her. I noticed her expression changing at the end when she turned away. There was a catch in her voice when she said "you should add that rule (about being just friends) to the list". She'll get there.

No, love for Clark, that's a no return road she entered, and she's just on stand-by now. But, since she's a master at handling repressed feelings, she never mopes and she's much more emotionally mature than Clark, she has moved on without bigger problems, she's learned her lesson and is back to her oldself. I'm glad just glad the friendship is still there.
Lois is not over Clark, I don't think she'll ever be over him. Maybe she thinks that its a lost cause and moving on with her life. Good for her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She has just turned the tables on him....the squeaky chair, the flirting, the "gimme gimme"....I believe that Chloe spilled the beans about Clark's "puppy dog eyes" the framed list, etc. She KNOWS that he has real feelings for her now, and she's going to make him squirm...in typical Lane fashion....by making him jealous, by teasing him (she knew how uncomfortable he was with her zipper), totally blowing him off by that comment about adding it to the bottom of the list...it's a joy to watch.

And she will almost forget about him, except it will happen because of the incredible red blue blur aka clark jerome kent!

I’m not so sure about Chloe spilling the beans about Clark's "puppy dog eyes".
Sure she did spill about the framed Lois’s rule thing, but I don’t think she told her about what she found out regarding Clark’s feelings towards Lois. Well, at least I hope so because I know Chloe didn’t like to be *in the middle of it* (like she always was with Clana) and I think Chloe let these two alone for dealing it b/c after all, they’re mature enough to figure it out by themselves, aren’t they?
And also I caught how Lois changed her facial expression right after she started walking away from Clark at the DP scene, and she wasn’t smirking at all (but she was, when she was talking to Clark), she looked sad ……or even in pain. I thought she just did something she wasn’t willing to do (= offered him to be just friends), but she thought it was the right thing to do in order to protect her heart from being hurt again. So to me, she definitely didn’t look like she was over him. But I think she still loves him with all her heart. JMO

NO!!! She still loves him, she just doesn't know that he wants to be with her! He stood her up, so she is sad. :( But seriously!!!! When "Lois" (Chloe for reals) fell into CLark's arms..... he looked like he wanted to kiss her so bad!!! If only it was Lois that fell into his arms and he would've!!!!!!!!
