I know that wasnt the point of the episode but "average Joe Clark" was hysterical!!
It really showed have diverse TW can be....and gave a nod to the mild manner Clark in the comics.

The scene where someone is getting robbed....and you get this zoom in shot of Clark looking very heroic and he says "Yes....you're right, Hello.....911?" I thought I was going to die laughing!

Then of course "Wow....the acoustics up here are amazing!" :rotfl:

I must give Tom some credit, he was just brilliant!!! :)

I totally agree. I was cracking up every second of that scene. It was hilarious. You could even tell that Welling was getting a big kick out of it.

If this is what "dork Clark Kent" is going to be like when he adopts the dual persona, then sign me up for a Welling Superman movie. He's awesome.

I have to admit the "Joe Shmoe the Kryptonian" act was hilarious. Clark mentioning flying was excellent as it shows they are getting closer and closer to it. But it was interesting how Chloe just didn't have Clark bend the metal pipe she tried to hit him with like she did in "Blank".

Chloe/Lois was an excellent writing device to show Clark who he really was. And in the end when she stood there with tears in her eyes telling Clark to believe in him like she does was touching.

LOL...totally agree with that! Powerless Clark was beyond cute! Tom Welling can just play so many different "types" of Clark its amazing...I hope there is a red K mishap this season...I know its been done many times before but there is just something unbelievably sexy abt the "uninhibited" crazy bady boy Clark...but I think this season is more about developing the nerdy Clark since thats what he gonna be for everyone all the time once he is superman.

I think that was the funniest scene all season...That and Clark clearing his throat and acting jealous in front of Lois with the Wilson/Sebastian date are the most entertaining for me.

Re: the 911 call ... I was literally laughing out hysterically ... even through the commercial break.

My husband was looking at me like I was crazy! I was like ... What? That was HILARIOUS!

I'm impressed with TW's comedic talent! I think this is the first time I've seen it in this light.

Oh, I definitely had a good 2 minute laugh after that one Abby!
I watched again last night....and I also had to laugh when he says "Lois.....did you lock us up here?" The way he says it is too funny, clearly panicked but trying to remain level headed, dorky Clark! :p

I found Tom so funny in this episode. I'm so used to him being serious in the show that it was nice to see him do some comedy. Bet he loved it, must be a nice change from what he normally does.

I think it was either Erica or Kristin who said in the Spell commentary that Tom plays the fool like no other and i have to agree!911 just became my favourite Tom scene of all time edging out his wild dancing from Spell!
