I'd rather see her have a fling with Oliver over Davis or Jimmy. I don't know why. She deserves someone that's going to treat her right. The big problem with Jimmy is that he can't get over the fact that there are things she wants to keep to herself. Oliver would be perfect because they all know Clark's secret and there's a freedom to that that she doesn't have with Jimmy or Davis.

I mean, everyone is going to speculate about her character being ruined or whatever, but at this point, if she's not going to be a reporter, I want to see her have something of a happy life with a guy that appreciates her.

It's really interesting comparing her relationship with Clark to her relationship with Ollie. It's almost like with Clark she has to constantly reassure him, encourage him, do things for him. Whereas with Ollie, she can relax, because he already knows what he's doing :lol:

I think he respects her a lot, and that will continue to grow into admiration IMO.

Too many trust issues there from the outset. I think he just wanted to help her professionally when a friend was in need.

I agree. It was very clear in this that he admired her very much. Their relationship seems to be really growing. It seemed like before he only called when he needed a favor but then Ollie seemed to be really worried about her in Bloodline. And in this it seemed that in this ep at least he was the only one giving her support and respect she needed. I think he always wanted her to join the JL and prob didn't like how Clark seemed to keep her from doing that. But this season it seems like ground work is being layd down and their friendship/partnership is building.

I really like Davis. I think they both bring out similar things out from Chloe. THey both respect her, admire her, but they don't let her have pity partis or let her get away with crap. (except in Trubluence with Davis but it felt like he didn't have a choice.)

Anyway I see her going through her thing with Davis. And would have been great if it weren't for the whole Doomed thing. It will prob be a tragic romance. But after she goes through that she'll be scared and prob won't be able to talk that much with Clark about it. But I think if anyone could understand it would be Ollie. I think he'll try to help her find her way back.

I love Chloe and Oliver together. I was so mad when they left Oliver out of the Rescue Chloe storyline for "The Legion," when he was the one who started the search. Why oh why did they now let him give her a present too? My only gripe for the pairing is that he used to date her cousin but since Oliver and Lois have closure . . . it's not to big a gripe.

Oh my other gripe . . . Chloe is still married but maybe they got an annulment or something. >.<

Well, I think I would enjoyed seeing this play out between Ollie and Chloe more than seeing it with Jimmy & Chloe.

Hartley and Mack have fantastic chemistry. It would have been nice to see that turn into some heat for their characters & see what would have gone down. We all know that Ollie is destined to end up with Black Canary, but it would have been fun while it lasted.

I finally got to see the episode. I loved that in the beginning, he wouldn't let her drown in her sorrows, and set her straight by making her see how maudlin she was being. I loved that he was there for her, when even Clark wasn't. I loved the looks they gave each other in the ending scene at ISIS. I must have watched that scene about ten times already. There's one point where she actually drops her eyes to his lips or something when she says, "This is where I belong." And her voice gets all sultry. Then when he walks over and says, "Arrow online" The looks they are giving each other! Chloe is being her sassy self, and Oliver is eating it up! HOT HOT HOT. I didn't like the way Oliver acted in "Requiem", but I can forgive him a little with these scenes. If he continues to treat Chloe well, all the better.

From writers stand point Chlollie being together makes perfect sense. Sure they don't have the same angsty conflict as Lollie sense chloe knows his secret but they are heroes there's plenty of conflict to around.

It does seem that way. Of course, AA is the exception, but like you, I simply block it out and pretend it doesn't exist.

AM has had great chemistry with the main guys (not AA) of this show: TW, JH, MR, JG, SJ III, and SW.

I did enjoy the Chlollie scenes -- much more than I did the ones in "Requiem" which were uncomfortable and too guilt-trippy for my taste. Oliver was the ONE friend who actually managed to at least show up for Chloe's party, which is saying something for the guy. No Jimmy, no Clark, not even Pete who promised not to be a stranger....

The problem is, despite all the freedom the writers of Smallville enjoy in certain regards they have to follow the canon universe! Meaning Clark belongs with Lois, Oliver with Dinah, Bruce with Celina, Lex with any woman but Chloe, so the only guys they coould have paired her with was Jimmy, a bad pairing to begin with, where Chloe had to content herself with less leading therefor into a cathastrofic marriage, and Doomsday designed I guess to make the character look bad, which again proves the writers hate Chloe!

LoL... I had never really considered it before, but after watching this episode Chlollie sure makes more sense! I can't wait to see what happens next either... I mean, Chloe has got a lot of relationship issues to sort out - Jimmy, Davis, Clark (sometimes), and now Oliver too! She's Watchtower, and runs the Isis Foundation, she is a best friend, and an estranged wife. Whoa... her life is off the charts!

Also, if you notice, there have been a few SV promo shots where Chlollie are placed next to each other, and the release of episode stills including Chlollie. Not that it means much, but I've been wondering if those were subtle hints about a Chlollie set up for S9.

Yeah i noticed all that as well... they do seem to be hinting... and god it'd be the best thing they could do for a season 9 :)

Had Oliver been with Chloe she probably wouldn't have made the wish. Or at least it wouldn't have supported Chloe's need to do so.
