Probably the infection that got her, as opposed to the actual getting shot. Matt mentioned an infection in her "dream." So I guess the infection was real.

She was shot all over from what I remember. He wounds had gone septsis, sepsis...sp? Not sure how you spell it. But the infection spread to her blood and spread throughout her body. Really dangerous stuff. So I think she's dead...that last scene with her Parkman and Mohinder made it look like she was dead and they were grieveing.

I think we were watching what was going on from Daphne's point of view, not from what was actually going on in real life.

Matt didn't convince anyone but Daphne. It was all in her head. Parkman was letting her live a little bit in her mind before it was time for her to go. He let her decide what she was going to do and the Gwen thing could have been something she thought of herself without realizing it because I think Parkman looked a tad surprised when she mentioned it.

I think it was nice and also sad at the same time. I'm glad they gave her a better death than she would have had if she were just shot and never seen again.

That was sad. She is definitely dead. Of course, that doesn't mean that she can't appear in flashbacks or they could have a shapeshifter appearing to be her or someone projecting Daphne's image like they did with Linderman.

I think he's gonna dig up Ted, revive him with some of Claire's blood, and then send him to Washington to blow up Building 26.

What good would that do at that point? Claire's in California while Matt, Mohinder, and Daphne were in Washington. Flying Man wasn't around to help, and Peter was nowhere to be found. He did the best he could with what he had.

I think this is actually an example of the producers listening to fan forums a little TOO much. People keep complaining there are too many characters. So what happens? Any character that wasn't introduced in season one pretty much has a target on their chest. Look at Elle, her father, Adam, Daphne, Matt's father, Arthur, etc. Danko better watch out.
If Maya and Micah's cousin are smart, they will stay far, far away. :)

They sorta went into it with her being crippled and then suddenly able to move around after the eclipse. But they didn't go into her heritage.

the sad thing is you believe that scene comes from Superman "Returns"


That is a historic homage to superman in general. Superman Returns was also stealing the scene from previous incarnations of superman both in print and in film.

I'm sorry to see Daphne die. I don't read spoilers so was totally surprised by her death. The whole fake life thing that Parkman did totally had me fooled until he flew - but even then I didn't know Daphne was going to die. So sad. Bye Daphne.

I was so close to screaming out "NOOOOOOOO!" at my computer screen just now.
(Missed it on tv so I had to get it off iTunes.) All I could do was cover my mouth in shock and think 'Not Daphne!!'

I'm so upset. I didn't want to see her die, she was one of my favorite characters on the show. Like Batman66 said, the producers are listening to the forum too much, but

That is so said that Daphne doesn't know she is dead. Matt loved her so much with all his heart and soul. I wonder what will Matt do now. Will he get revenge for the death of daphne or will he find another way to get the military to pay for what they have done.

I'm kind of glad they killed her off. I liked her character, and it's sad... but I never understood Matt's obsession with her... he needs to sort his head out, and he needs to focus on the person he is... which is a man as heroic as Peter... they have the same level of morality, but Parkman is a simpler hero... i always liked it that way :)
