With the great success of CSI : LV and CSI : Miami, there is a new CSI based in NY coming to television very soon. Word is that it will star Gary Sinse, and the main female of Providence. What do you guys think about it, just from the info above or if you have heard anything?

I hope so, it's quite a winning formula. I love Gary Sinise and Melinda Kankaredes (Sp?. .the gal from Providence) sounds an interesting choice too. If the writing is as good as with the first two series, then i think it'll be a winner :)

Gary Senise is in it? Cool, it should be good then.

Yeah it will probably work...I enjoy the Vegas one the best but NY would probably have its nice own themes like Miami did.

I think it will, but you never know...a spinoff of a spinoff...has that ever been done before, and has it ever worked? They start with a strong cast, with Gary Senise at its helm. Did anyone see the episode where the crossover took place? If so, what did you think?

i love gary sinise, i'll give it a try.

dang, no one has posted in here for 3 years. that's ridiculous!
anyhow, who loves this show!? I DO! :D
i love NY better than the original. I think it has a better cast, IMO.
did anyone watch this season?
i think the 333 caller and the kerr smith guest role was awesome.
anyhow, i thought i'd attempt to revive the thread.

Reviving this thread, as it's a new one tonight! Looks good too, a continuation of where they left off with that mysterious woman.

Can't believe I haven't posted here sooner. CSI NY is probably my favorite out of all three of the CSI's, it's such a good show with a great cast.
I am stoked for tonight's episode! Lots of things happening from what I've read in TV Guide's description.

Wow, this thread is seriously dead. Too bad, CSI:NY is one of my favorite shows. IMO, it beats the other CSIs because 1) the awesome actors such as Gary Sinise and 2) I love N.Y. :)
Tonight's episode had me in tears. I can't wait for the finale, though. I read somewhere that Stella and Mac have a fight over the Greek coin fiasco and she takes off to Greece. He then follows her and they solve the remainder of the case there. And, it seems there's going to be a death on in this finale as well.

I prefer CSI: NY over the other two as well. :) This week's episode was great, I'm very excited for the finale. I wonder who is going to die. Can't believe they're going to kill someone on the team off!

Yes! This thread is alive!
I heard it's going to be Jessica Angel. She's too involved in the coin story with Stella. I'm not sure how true this is, though. But I imagine if it's her, Stella is going to feel so responsible for her death. First Frankie, now Angel. Not to mention the blame she could get from Mac and Flack. I'm super excited for Greece, though.

Pretty crazy cliffhanger..
I can't believe how they didn't address Flack shooting the killer. I don't believe his actions were justified as he was a cop, I was pretty disappointed that it was not talked about.

They may have saved that for his storyline next season if he survives.

I can't wait to see what happens in the next season. I want all the characters to survive. The show needs everybody. Flack is going to be so miserable, but I hope he can pull through this. I hope he doesn't get in trouble for shooting that killer, even though, of course, I know it was wrong.

Why did they have to the route of killing a re-ocurring character? that to me just seemed too cliche. Why not make them a regular?
It didn't really seem like a season finale. I mean I guess it was a good finale, cause it begs the question: Did anyone else die in the aftermath? We saw them all go down, but we don't know if there was another causalty.

I didn't like that they killed her off either. I hope they didn't kill off anyone else. It would be even more depressing and I love to watch all the characters. I want everyone to survive.:(

I can't wait for this, I really enjoyed seeing her on Shark and Smallville.

^Will she be a love interest to any of the male lead. I kind of hope its Sheldon. We haven't seen him hookup with anyone.
And poor Flack...I wonder if next season we'll see him spiral out of control? maybe become a drunk or something.

If they are casting a new series regular does that mean one of the old regulars bites the dust from the finale.
If someone dies I bet it will be Lindsey or Danny so they can do the typical single parent angst story

She plays a clean-up tech according to Ausiello.

Not necessarily. She maybe take EV's spot since her character was killied in the finale.

As long as everyone stays on the show I'll be happy.

Why doesn't anybody post on this thread? I can't wait for the new season to start. This is definitely my favorite CSI series and one of my top five shows overall. The new season starts soon and the season five DVD comes out soon too. I'm so anxious for both.

I am excited for the new season. It seems from the promos like Danny maybe in trouble. But knowing them...they might kill Lindsay instead. Hopefully its just a scene where we get introduced to Sarah Carter's character; no more causalties. All my shows seem to be starting on the week of the 20th:D:).

I still don't think anyone is going to die. I'm wondering if Sarah Carter's going to come in as a temp replacement for the injured one at first, and then they decide to make her part of the team. I would've prefered her being a lab tech, like Adam, rather than a CSI. I really want her to fit in well with the cast/team. I wonder where her character's supposed to be from?

OMG...Adam and Stella had a one night stand!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm still shocked by the sight. After that initial sight, I liked the idea of those two together. I was kind of hoping that they didn't call it quits, but :\.
I like Haylen as the new addition to the team. It obvious that they're setting up Haylen to be Adam's love interest this season. I was hoping it would be Sheldon, but its still early. And whp knows if there will be a love triangle between the three.
Poor Danny, hopefully he won't be stuck in a wheel chair all season or for that matter the rest of the series. I just have a bad feeling that maybe they're going to get rid of his character slowly but surely.
As for Flack... I thought his character would start going downhill this season. Instead, he looked like nothing happened; like his girlfriend didn't just die. Everyone seemed to back to their normal grind expect for Danny.

Danny's in a wheelchair and being very pessimistic about the whole thing, I can't say I'm surprised. I loved Lindsay's pep talk to Danny. I just wish he'd believe it. I can't say I like the Stella/Adam thing, but I'll probably get used to it eventually. Haden will take some getting used to I'm sure, but I could say that about another Sarah Carter character too so that's okay. It's interesting to see Flack so dressed down. I knew I would have to get used to the changes that the events from last spring brought to the team, but I have a feeling it'll take several weeks for me to do that.

I was not loving the Stella/Adam thing, it's just...weird O.o
I felt bad for Danny, he's my favorite character on there. I think he will come around eventually, and I also liked what Lindsay said to him.
It was cool to see Sarah Carter on there.

I'm irked by the whole Adam/Stella thing. The most illogical pair I can think of. Glad it was a one time thing but it kind made me cringe anyway. :\
Danny's injury also seemed senseless but I guess it adds more "drama" to things.

The Adam and Stella thing was just weird to see.. good thing it was just a one-time thing (hopefully). I really enjoyed seeing Sarah Carter on the show, it seems like she will probably be a potential love interest for Adam.
The ending with Danny was nice, even with the 10% odds, and he still managed to move his foot a little and it even rained! Lindsay's talk was really nice too.
Good premiere!

Danny walks again! Nice ending.

I think that they should have had one of the other CSI actors do the crossover. I have nothing against LF or his Dr Langstrom character I just feel that one of the characters that have been with the show for the last 10 years should have earned the extra focus of a big event arc not the new guy.
darkphoenix21
11-10-2009, 01:16 PM
^I don't mind as much...cause I rarely watch the original, so I don't know the characters. I did hope that at least Horatio (CSI:Miami) came with LF's character to NY. Then Mac (CSI: NY) and the other two head over to LV for the last episode of this trilogy. Now it looks like the only character crossing over is LF's character.

Nice conclusion to the compass killer arc. It's always nice to have these arcs once in a while rather than just a murder case every week.
I thought the end was really cool too cause all the cast members seem like such a great "family".

Enjoyed the Christmas ep. Found the plot kind of dull, but it was still entertaining. Thought it was cool to see Train on the show, and the final scene with everyone dressed up was a really awesome feel-good moment. :D

Another season finale gone and done with. As soon as Casey let go I knew he would live to terrorize the team again. If they had shown him beneath on the rocks it would have been different...but, I knew as soon as they panned down to the rocks/ocean and there was no splash sound that he survived some how.
And poor Danny another season finale where his fate is left unanswered until the season premiere. Why do I suspect that either Lindsey is the one shot, she shoots Casey or unfortunately Danny is shot; it has to be one of those 3.

As recurring character villains go, Shane Casey is definitely interesting.
Danny being in danger again worries me. I don't want anything to happen to him.
For goodness sake, he ended season five shot and began season six in a wheelchair. He doesn't need to go through more pain!

I am saddened to read that Melina Kanakaredes won't be returning as Stella (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2010/07/12/melina-kanakaredes-exits-csi-ny/). I enjoyed watching her on the show and it sucks even more that her story won't be concluded properly.
