Peter did die in season 2. Future Peter.

Wouldn't be a bad bet that if Peter dies that would be the twist or something like it. But I highly doubt it either way.

I believe he will be the death that doesnt stick. Like I have said before, Peter has been required to close every volume, and he is main good guy who is Sylar's equal and polar opposite. They are two sides of the same coin, and you cant have a coin with one side. Plus Peter to Heroes is Clark to Smallville. Also if there is one thing we have learned, it is that you cant kill a Petrelli. Many wondered if Nathan and Peter died at the end of season 1 only for them to be brought back in season 2. Also, Nathan got shot at the end of season 2 and yet here he is again. Petrelli's just cant be killed. lol. And as Yoshua said, Future Peter died. If that is not what Tim Kring or Milo meant then just watch. If season 4 comes around and Peter isnt somehow revived then I'll eat my hat. Plus I remember is an interview with some of the writers that they said that they meant to put Peter getting his scar in this volume, but they were not able to get it in and would have to wait to do it in a later volume. I believe that alone could mean that Peter will come back in season 4.

I dont think Tracy is a fake death at all. I thought the wink after she got shattered was there to show us that it was no fake death. When I think of the shows fake deaths, I think of Peter and Nathan in season 1 only to find out the next season they were both alive and Nathan getting shot in season 2 only to find out it was a NDE. Also, HRG getting shot and revived with Claire's blood and Peter and Claire coming back after a stick or peice of glass was pulled from their head

Now that it has been confirmed by Bryan Fuller that Tracy was the fake out anybody else that dies is a real death and since Daphne died in Cold Snap there is only one more person to die.

But does anybody know if Milo is under contract and for how long?

I am thinking since 2 of the 3 deaths have happened already that the final death is probably going to be Danko because that is about the only way to wrap up this volume.

Peter better not die. If he does, that just shows that the show runners are idiotic. Why would you kill off one of the main characters and possibly the biggest fan favorite on the show?

People may hate me for saying this, but I will not mind if Peter is the one to die. Even though I used love his character in Season 1, I've been a little disappointed with the way the writers have written his character and story lines. In Volumes 2 & 3, he never seemed to get a break from being locked in a company cell, losing his memory, tricked into helping Adam Monroe, trapped in another man's body, gone to the future just to gain Sylar's ablity and get "the hunger", and then finally lose his powers. And now he's got a power in Volume 4, but it's not his original power. Plus he's just not the same loveable Peter we all fell in love with in Season 1. If they give him his original power back and write him some better story lines, I'll be much happier. And if he does die, I believe the show will still go on. This show is called "Heroes" (plural) not "The Life and Times of Peter Petrelli" after all.

With that being said, I don't think he will be the one to die. Since "Cold Snap", I think we're seeing an uphill turn for Heroes. My faith in the show has been restored, so i can't help but to have faith that Peter's character and story lines will get back to being good again. Not that I've hated his character in volume 4, it's just I haven't seen him enough to really care for him again.

I'm not convinced the writers have been able to write Peter's character well since the end of Season 1. I think he was really meant to die and since then he's just been bouncing around from one failed attempt to make him interesting to another. I wouldn't mind seeing him die heroically.

If he dies the show will suck. One of the main reasons the ratings went down was because they messed up with the story line with all the time travelling and removed peter's powers........and not to mention the horrible papa Petrelli story line. Still Love the show though :)

I know it's a mad thing to say in a show with so many characters, but Peter has always seemed like the main character to me... so killing him off seems highly unlikely

I think it's safe to say some of the characters will never be killed off. Peter and Claire are definitly two of those. Not sure how safe anyone else is to be honest.

I think that death refers to him dying this past episode. I don't think he is going anywhere or I at least hope so. :(
