While I don't like the route of having Jimmy become a drug addict, I do believe Chloe's had this coming to her for a long time from him!
A guy can only take so much, and he's been more understanding and patient w/ her than any other guy would have been.

Yep and Jimmy has been so innocent in this whole relationship... ~sarcasm~

Jimmy was rude but Chloe did bring it upon herself. I watched the episode a few times now and observed that it was Chloe that confronted Jimmy first in the hospital hallway. When Jimmy and Chloe were getting ready to leave the hospital, Jimmy was emotionally unstable so Chloe should have waited until they got in the car before she confronted him. She stops him in the hospital hallway in front of all those people so she really did bring it upon herself. Jimmy was already angry and he did not care who knew it. Chloe should have left well enough alone.

Also, my mother had to have a morphine drip for two operations she had at separate times. She did not become addicted. I don't think Jimmy has to be a drug addict. TPTB just want him to be. They love to make good character's go bad. Tsk, tsk.

Because he loves her and wanted to marry her, that's why he proposed. he thought Chloe loved him back, that's why he went ahead with the wedding. He had high expectations about this marriage but they were crashed the day of his wedding. I think Jimmy is just steaming out his frustration about his marriage and unfortunately for Chloe it happened in the hall of the hospital. Jimmy just reacted the way a normal person would under similar circumstances.

the ending of that eppy was pretty sad but I think that has been coming for a while.

If you went through what Chloe did to Jimmy you would feel it was justified.

People need to chill out with the whole "drug addict" thing. He's taking pills that are prescribed to him, I don't get the big deal. It's not like he was shown snorting coke lines off Clark's stomach or something.

I think the ending made sense as far as progression went. With what Jimmy told Chloe (in Sleeper?), and how he 'seemed to reconcile himself to the fact that there were other important people in Chloe's life. I think it was unusually deep for Smallville finally bringing the issue to a head.

The guy was upset, yes, and his complete refusal to take any responsibility for anything was typical.
If he had so many issue with Chloe then.he.shouldn't.have.asked.her.to. marry. him.

Chloe didn't deserve all the blame. (I'm kinda sorry she just took it and didn't call him out on his massive issues)
but what he said had some truth in it. I think maybe Chloe wouldn't have been able to see what a mistake the marriage was on both sides until he did.

And Jimmy's addicted to prescription drugs, which makes for an interesting plot line for his character.. One of Jimmy's best eps, IMHO.

It was sad. Very sad. But, I think that I may have been mad at her too. I do hope that something happens to bring some happiness back to her life though.

Tell that to Marilyn Monroe, Elvis, Anna Nicole Smith, and Heath Ledger
I mean if it comes from a doctor it must be safe right:rolleyes:

My point is we only saw one scene with him taking the pills, so how do you know he is abusing them? Taking pills is not the same as abusing them. If this week he is taking a crap load of them, then ok, that will be different.

He was specifically told not to take more than 3 a day, because they were addictive, yet we saw him taking 4 at a time. That to me says he is becoming addicted to the pain meds.

On top of that why would they show that scene unless they were planning to write him as battling addiction.

Poor Chloe got told off by Jimmy. Sounds pretty tame compared to Jimmy getting tasered by Chloe.

Tonight on the news, a 15 year old boy died when he was tasered by a policeman. I didn't know this could happen but now I'm thinking this can be a dangerous weapon.

It was sad but it needed to happen. I'm glad someone pulled her out of her fake pretend denial world. She was clearly unhappy but still ready to pretend everything was ok. She needed a wake up call. I think they both did and this was it. It was sad and tragic on both sides but something needed to be done.

Yeah I think if Chloe was really concerned about Jimmy's health she would have used a sedative injection. Tasers seem a little too dangerous.

Well, Chloe either might not have access to sedatives or might not have been expecting to walk up and find Jimmy about to brain someone with a rusty pipe. She was presumably carrying around the taser for self-defense purposes, and had to think fast. I really think it was a reasonable move on her part. Lord knows that if I had a psychotic break and I was trying to kill people I'd want my wife/friend/hamster/whatever to knock me out.

I agree, I dont have enough money to hire a lawyer to argue temporary insanity for me.
