I'm probably in the minority on this, but I like where Chloe is headed. For most of the series Chloe has been the voice of reason for Clark but now she has lost her way. The measure of a true hero is not only to be there physically to help, but emotionally too. That's where Clark comes in. I think one of his first major steps towards becoming Superman is helping Chloe get back on the right path. The student now becomes the teacher.
If you look at Chloe right now her whole life is a mess. Her husband just left her, she no longer works for the DP, and she doesn't have any direction. Facing and overcoming adversity while learning from our mistakes is one of the biggest parts of being a human.
I keep hearing gloom and doom for Chloe, but I think the opposite will happen. She will make it through this, learn from it, and become the person she was destined to become...

You're not the only one. I don't expect the show to be perfect or measure up to my standards and hopes, unlike SOME people here and outside the internet (no offense). I also don't think what they are doing with Chloe and Doomsday to be a waste, I already seen a proactive Clark and I don't mind two or three episodes focusing on a cast member or two. Of course, I didn't watch the Clana episodes so the old sentiment don't watch it if you don't like it works, heheh.

I can't say I like the way they're taking her, but I really hope you're right.

I love what their doing with Chloe and Davis. And people have complained that Chloe is Clark's crutch that she looks more like a hero then Clark always telling him when to be heroic. But this ep she didn't do that. And now she's getting trashed for not doing that. I think it showed Clark doing the hero thing on his own. Sure she had pushed him and suggested it before but Clark is still being proative and stepping up. I see why Chloe would be hesitant because Clark is getting too risky so she's being over protective.
I also like that now that Chloe is going through her own turmoil and not just being the side kick Clark sees that Chloe is struggling. He tries to get her talk and be ther for her. THere were times when Clark were more concerned with other things that he didn't notice when Chloe was going through a bad time. SO I think Chloe's turmoil has shown clark act more heroic. A true hero is someone who is there for his friends not just to save them but for emotional support too. I really saw a more sensetive and caring Clark in this ep. It was soooo freshing.

Chloe definitely has lost her way a little. Ever since she found out about her meteor infection, it seems like she's just been drifting somewhat aimlessly. She needs something to give her that spark back.

Actually, Chloe made some wrong descions this episodes but I wouldn't blame Davis had Jimmy choked up with drugs and later Jimmy calls her to come see him torturing Davis? Uh yeah if it were my husband or wife in my case I would bring a taser too or at least kock out gas. She made some wrong descions but that doesn't nesscisiarily destroy the character.

Chloe is no the kind of character who doesn't get called up on her mistakes so I hope they continue that way.
But I agree with the hope. If Chloe was always doing what's right she'll be less interesting, IMO. I don't help her in such a high pedestal that I'll get all worked up pver everything she does.

I donīt like what they are doing with Chloe because it reminds me the start of the Lexana (or how to destroy a character with an unbelievable turn of personality). But despite this , Iīm enjoying this arc very much.As I said before , if writers want to make the show work well they have to focus on the darkness of Davis and forget the ships.Itīs only that , like with Lana at the end of season 5 and season 6, I canīt believe the transformation of Chloeīs character.

I don't know why, but I just had this mental image of that as one of those headlines on the front of Cosmo or something, surrounded by stuff like "10 ways to make your fans curse your name!" and "The secrets to destroying an otherwise great season with one terrible story arc REVEALED!" Gave me a good laugh, it did.

Jimmy sucks? Because he dumped her like a bad habbit. lol. Hardly. If anything he was the only real man in this episode.

I like the direction, too. It's complex. And it's different. Chloe is usually so self assured. Now, she's really confused. And that's an interesting twist for her character.

I agree with the majority in this post. It's nice to see Chloe actually have a bigger role than Clark's sidekick who just feeds him information and throws out witty one-liners here and there. She is going through a lot of turmoil right now, and her fall from grace is a fresh twist IMO. After all, no one is perfect all the time, despite all the people who wish Chloe would remain that way forever.

I like where Chloe's headed to. I'm totally loving this Beauty and the Beast story line with Chloe and Davis. She's being isolated this season so she can find herself, and I think she will. It's all part of the build up. I think Watchtower is returning as well as snarky Chloe. But this time she's not going to be in everyone's shadow.

I agree. And it's something that happens to most people in their twenties. Chloe's just trying to find herself. And I think she will.
