Veritas and Turbulence similarities???

When in Veritas Lionel Luthor begs in front of Chloe we see the end of Lionel Luthor. As heart breaking that was it happened. Chloe didnt believe him. The Scene between Chloe and Jimmy reminded me of the same scene in Veritas. Could this mean that The Speculation about Chloe's demise are true. Seems like it.....:\
