How did tonight's episode show Chloe and Davis' "connection"?

UPDATED 2/13/09: We learn a little bit more about what is connecting Chloe to Davis, and some of those revelations may better explain some of the spoilers concerning them for episodes later in the season.


And after watching tonight's episode, I don't really see how this episode showed what connected them both. It shows they have feelings for each other but how does this let us learn some new revelations??

I noticed when she touched him he stopped turning into Doomsaday so maybe in some wierd way she can control that...I know that sounds goofy, but it's all I could come up with:lol:

I think that the connection is that Davis lies and Chloe believes him. There's the connection. I'm still very confused about that hospital hug. Chloe and Davis were going to stay away from each other because a friendship would be dangerous between the two. Somehow, hugging right in front of Jimmy's room after he just went off on Davis is the logical thing to do? No words to describe how ridiculous that was.

I think the 'connection' wasn't really that, but it informed Davis that Chloe can keep the beast at bay. The priest in the beginning said to find the good to help him overcome the beast inside and I think the 'good' Davis found was Chloe.

I don't think they were trying to bring anything new on the table more like clearing it up. It's just Chloe and Davis now and that's all there is to it.

Isn't the connection the fact that Chloe's touch kept Doomsday at bay?

Certainly there remains a connection, and she seemed very comfortable hugging and to some degree confiding in Davis, while the hug she gave Jimmy maintained a look that she felt she made a mistake to be with him, and not just because her presence in his life led him to the danger he has recently faced. She married the first guy that really expressed interest in her, not a good criteria for a lifetime commitment (I still think she'd run off with Clark no matter who's she's hitched to).

It was kind of a vague hint of the connection between Chloe and Davis. It came with the scene when Chloe taizered Jimmy and said to Davis "Davis it is safe he not going to hurt you." Chloe touches his shoulder stopping the beast for coming out more. Davis sying, "You saved me." That is when the spoilor applies, but it is very vague hint of the connection.

I think they have been giving us vague hint throught the storyline and their is more to come.
