Why didnt Chloe just heal Jimmy after he was attacked by Doomsday? Can she not use her powers anymore, did i miss something in another episode or something?

I think since she couldn't heal Clark, that she wouldn't even try again. But I think its there still. I think Brainiac wouldn't let her.

I wondered if it was her healing power that caused Davis to STOP transforming into Doomsday when she touched him. Did you see the look on his face when she touched him and he went back to being himself? It was like a MIRACLE.

I believe that the writers mentioned that they were doing away with her healing powers at the beginning of season 8. So base on that, I think we can say it's gone for good.

My sis thought the same thing that Chloe "healed" davis. but i dont think she did. more like she just as that Belle quality there going with as Davis as the beast and shes able to calm him....at least for now

Rewatch "Odyssey". In that episode, we can see that Chloe has lost her healing ability for good. It may have been a side-effect of being infected by Brainiac. The Kryptonian circuitry must have wiped out the Kryptonite in her system.

Chloe's powers do seem to be gone, i have no idea why, and they haven't bothered to explain why they are gone...

I mean yes, we can assume it has something to do with brainiac. But it'd be nice to know why brainiac infections reverse meteor infections... seems a little off to me

I have speculated that Brainiac turned her healing ability into a connection with DD.When he left her in Legion,the connection must have remained inside her.But the healing ability is gone.

I'm not convinced her powers are gone. Kelly Souders said they were just taking a backseat. It's hard to say if her healing powers are returning or not at this point, but it's certainly possible. Davis did look at her hand before he looked at her eyes. Interesting.

I'm not sure if her healing powers are back. But I don't think Chloe touch wasn't her healing him. She usually glows and passes out when she uses her healing power. But Davis isn't human so it could be her powers acting differently because he isn't human.
I still like the idea of stopping his transformations by the power of love. I think that Davis had found out that feeling human is what stopped the transformations, first the human emotion was guilt then it was love.

I'm not 100% convinced that her meteor ability is gone, either. I think that, while Brainiac infected her, he was blocking her access to it. Now, she probably just believes that she can't use it, and thus, it's inaccessible to her. When Doomsday was able to transform back so quickly, I really did think there was a chance that Chloe had regained her powers and was using it, in some way, to calm the savage beast inside Davis. I'm thinking she might rediscover her power, and use it in a big way, in the season finale... perhaps even for the last time. :(

The writers said in an interview that it was meant to be implied that her meteor powers were drained when she was attacked by Braniac. Hence why you see all of the energy coming out of her.

ITA because she didn't see the effect on Davis. She just thought she had make him calm down.
