I know Davis is a monster and a killer but was I alone in rooting for him tonight? I'm so glad he managed to get the upper hand on Jimmy the Dullard. I just can't stand him.

Another interesting part of Davis is the fact that he is using his abilities for "good", yes he is killing people [and bad ones at that], but in his mind, it is better than before when he was killing anyone who crossed his path.
Maybe Davis saw a few episodes of "Dexter", and decided to model himself after him, a serial killer who kills bad guys.

I am no longer a fan of Davis after this episode. He was one of my favorite characters but what he did to Jimmy was unforgivable. I can't wait for Doomsday to conquer him forever.

I loooooved Davis in this. Some things he did were very shady but I couldn't help but route for him. I think it was the begining that did it for me. It was soooo beautiful, heartbreaking, sad, and totally epic. It reminded me of Dare Devil but like ten times better. It was like the best begining I've seen. So amazing.
Well SW was in "Dexter" so that's interesting.

Nope, you are not alone. I can't stand Smallville's version of Jimmy either. I think Davis is a fascinating character, and I LOVE him with Chloe.

I like davis because hes a bad guy, and I don't expect anything from him but dishonesty and evil deeds. He's like lex you love to hate him.

Is that Darth Pipes from the JC?

Also - yeah, couldn't really stand Jimmy from Day One, and it doesn't look like that this pill-popper angle will do anything to improve that assessment. Davis is an antagonist that we can root for.

Well I liked and sympathized with all three this episode.
I sympathized with Davis's situation. Really, he's done something pretty interesting. He pretty much has to kill. He has no choice in that. But he's chosen to kill bad people. Which is a solution. Not a moral or ethical solution, but certainly interesting.
I totally saw where Chloe was coming from and why she behaved the way she did. Really, unless she was able to look at the script, I don't see how she was magically supposed to believe anything but what she believed and behave accordingly.
And I sympathized with Jimmy. And, even though he said some pretty harsh things to Chloe at the end, I totally got where it was coming from.
So it was a good night for those three all around.

I 100% agree with every word you've said.

On a side note, I completely and utterly support the monster. I loved when he roared. It was so sexy. :)
I hope Beauty can save the Beast. Did anyone else notice the word "Beauty" montaged next to Chloe's face at the end, as the scene switched over to Davis' feet? The word was on a crate behind Davis. Awesome reveal!
But I felt for all three in the episode. But I gotta say, I love Davis so...like Chloe I'd take his side too. I don't get why so many people think it makes her look bad. I don't get it. She thought her husband had lost it. Can't blame her. He did look kind of crazy.
