GO JIMMY.

He really handed Chloe her butt back to her. She's not doing such a great job with the whole wife thing, lol.

But at least Aaron Ashmore has gotten the chance to shine in a good role for him. He does a great madman act. Michael and Tom do it best but he delivered when his time came. He deserves more serious roles like this. AA does have talent and it would help the show if they gave him more opportunities like this.

i think they needed to play down the crazy side, but i guess he wouldn't have to be so forceful then

We hardly get crazy, I think Jimmy needed more scenes. Splinter and Shattered are two of my favorite episodes simply because of the crazy.

Jimmy was awesome. Possibly his best scenes in the series, even above Identity.

I totally clapped when he he ended things with Chloe and made her cry.

Okay, I agree, AA was great this episode, but.........

I cringe to the 'Why so serious?' tag to this thread from Heath Ledger's brilliant performance as the Joker from TDK!! Just don't want to take away from his
masterpiece, Oscar winning performance. A little tsk, tsk on my part, that's all.;)

It is the same with ED. I always liked her and knew her potential because I saw her on other stuff. However, SV people might not have known she could act until TPTB gave her material on this show that exposed her talent and skills. Now a lot of people that did not really like ED/Lois love her.

I think the same about Aaron. His character is hardly on the show, and when he is, he does not have really anything that would show up his talents. This episode was very good, acting wise, for Aaron. I thought he did an excellent job and I agree with his character, Jimmy.

I started liking her a lot more in season 5. I think season 4 was too early to bring her in. They had nothing decent for her to do and forcing her in scenes with Clark prevented them from focusing on the stones plot. I liked her more as every season went forward. I just wish they would have made her reporter career begin on something more serious than a barn door. I'm very surprised she's not in 20/22 episodes this season.

Heath was ok. He wouldn't be in Oscar talks if he was still around though.

And I added the "why so serious" because Jimmy was rather angry in those final scenes, something we're not used to.

I alway's thought that Lois should have already been working in the bullpen at the DP when Chloe got there. That is how they could have introduced her in season 4 really...as Chloe's cousin/connection to the DP. She could have been an intern in season 4. When Chloe goes to the DP in season 5 she could have showed her the ropes. Also, she would have already been established there in season 8 when she encourages Clark to work there.
