Well... I disagreee to the following extent: How does a "psychotic" hospitalized patient (Jimmy) get to walk freely outside the hospital AND just happens to find 2 pairs of handcuffs?

Maybe it's like that in the US of A? :p

Do you have street vendors at the doors of the hospital "Handcuffs! Gets Your handcuff here! Buy one, get one free!!!"

He went home and got the cuffs (he just took the pink fur off).

He didn't escape from the hospital. In the Smallville universe, the US of A has adopted Europe's more civilized health care system (so he was put on a waiting list to get 'elective' mental care, sent home, and told he should be getting his 'free' care in about eighteen months).:rotfl:

Personally, I feel that the Chloe/Jimmy/Davis storyline is interesting but just a little overdone in this episode. If there had been just a few more scenes of Clark and Tess, with a few less of the other three it would have been a ten rather than an eight. The Cless dynamic is so electrifying! There is something authoritative about Clark when he's around Tess now, in a different way than his normal stony do-goodiness:p. He almost seems ornery in a manly sort of way. It's certainly appealing! And Tess looked AMAZING!!!! Wow, I mean I've always thought of Cassidy as pretty, but OMG. That straight hair and those royal colors fit her so well! With a positive note on the love triangle, I am very pleased with how Jimmy handled Chloe at the end. It was blunt, decisive, and so to the point one can only hope it helps Chloe wake up a little. And so unJimmyish!:eek:It was great. Both actors played it to perfection. Allison did especially well. Her shock/hurt/shame/and embarrassment all rolled into one nice fluid process as the camera backed away. (Not necessarily in that order;)) All in all, I must say I was pretty pleased this week. YAY SMALLVILLE!!

Last week's episode I blasted for Tori Spelling's lack of acting and the overall weakness of the episode. That episode did nothing to recover from the Lana catastrophe. However, this episode recovered the season. I absolutely loved Turbulence. Tom Welling, Aaron Ashmore, and Cassidy Freeman all had stellar performances. Sam Witwer also had a solid performance. I really liked how Clark is staying away from the red and blue unless he is doing his nightly rounds. I also liked the phone booth scene in the Daily Planet. When Clark was showing Chloe how he was practicing his changing technique I thought to myself this is the direction the show should have been heading years ago. Now we are seeing Superman take shape.

Poor Chloe but even though I have been in love with her since about season 3 I have to agree with Jimmy on this. What Chloe did was inexcusable as a wife. She basically castrated Jimmy for someone else. Way to go Jimmy. Solid performance by Ashmore. I like this version of Jimmy Olsen a lot better than the regular comic book. *gasp* It's true. It's damn true.

Did Clark fly? Alas... I think it's coming though from what I saw in the previews. This is how Smallville should be done.

I scored it a 6. I thought the episode was uneven and I'm probably in the minority in finding Tess Mercer a booooorrrring character.

It's probably due to the fact that I'm anxious to see Clark and Lois get together. I find that I'm really missing Lex. He was a much better foe for Clark than Tess.

I enjoyed the Davis/Doomsday development despite all the plot holes a lot of us have pointed out and I also enjoyed watching Jimmy's sequences.

First. I thought this episode was filler. The tone wasn't right, it didn't feel like Smallville; more like a spinoff. I honestly didn't think Tess was going to seduce Clark, I was waiting, in the last scene at the mansion, I thought Tess should have said, "Clark, I hope this hasn't put you off flying." Clark replies, "Statistically it is the safest way to travel."

I didn’t actually see the episode until Sunday, because I was ill, but it was totally worth the wait! I read some reviews of people who didn’t like the episode and I’m thinking “Have I gotten this completely wrong? I actually liked the episode!” What a FANTASTIC episode!:o
<O:p
Let’s take it alphabetically this time, shall we?<O:p</O:p
<O:p
Chloe. What is wrong with the writers? Is there some particular point they’re trying to make when they keep messing up with Chloe’s character? Will it be revealed in due time? They are totally ruining her for me! And what was that incredibly ridiculous line she shot at Clark</ST1:p, that maybe he should quit the DP and abandon the Blur alter ego? *looks around, apprehensive* Hang on! Have I slipped into an alternate dimension?!?!<O:p</O:p
Anyway, I thought AM did a great job up till the finale she had with Jimmy. From the very beginning of the episode, I could almost feel the chill between the newlyweds; I could literally see the gaping chaos between them that drifted them apart. In that final scene she was downright mind-blowing! A magnificent performance, really. But I expected nothing less.

Clark</ST1:p. TW, for the first time in months, gave me the impression he was actually enjoying his work. I dunno why, but he seemed on and off in the past episodes, as if his mind wasn’t completely into it. In this one, however, he was… what’s the word I’m looking for? Suave. Yeah, damn right, he was suave. He was cool and concentrated and even when he had to be defensive (with Tess' probing questions), he seemed surprisingly confident. Loved the phone booth change, btw. I am afraid, I’ll have to agree with Chloe on this one, though. He is getting ahead of himself trusting Tess so easily. But then again, that’s Clark <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comhttp://www.kryptonsite.com/forums/ /><st1:country-region w:st=<ST1:pKent</ST1:p</st1:country-region> for you.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p
<st1:City w:st="on"><ST1:p</st1:City>
<st1:City w:st="on">Davis</ST1:p</st1:City>. Not much to say here. So far, I accept where they are taking this character and SW has come a long way mastering how to act as Davis/DD. Let’s hope he’ll keep it up and the writers will have a fitting storyline for him. Oh, and using the ambulance as a temporary morgue to stash his bodies...not good.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Jimmy. Now, Jimmy was my FAVOURITE character in this episode – and that’s more than I have ever said for this character. I never really had a problem with him, I thought he was cute and nerdish and gullible in his own sweet, bowtie way, but I was never a big fangirl of him, either. It seems he went in the hospital a boy and came out a man. In goes Jimmy, out comes James. Fascinating performance from AA, who sadly was never given much to work with in Smallville. Turns out, he has a lot more depth as an actor than I had in mind. Congratulations, Mr. Ashmore, you really knocked that out of the park.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Lois. Oh, wait! No Lois in this episode… The show is playing a hide-and-seek game with us viewers when it comes to ED this season. I feel like a 5 year old looking for freaking Waldo! In their defense, Lois truly had no place in this episode.<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Tess. Pardon me, Miss Mercer, but are you flirting with Clark <st1:country-region w:st="on"><ST1:pKent</ST1:p</st1:country-region>? Cassidy Freeman has grown on me all this time and I enjoy her everytime she’s on screen. She always has something fascinating to add to her character. I dunno if the story about her father was true or fabricated simply to make <ST1:pClark</ST1:p reveal his own secret in return, but nonetheless, CF played Tess to a tee, reacting exactly as I expected Tess’ character to do. I truly enjoyed her scenes with <ST1:pClark</ST1:p, I couldn’t help but thinking she wanted to jump him at times, and it has left me wishing for more interesting scenes between them. Oh, and can I just say, I knew, I just knew the entire explosion thing was a scam! I am astounded by her stubbornness, however. How far would she go to reveal <ST1:pClark</ST1:p’s secret? She would risk her own life, thousands of feet in the air?<O:p</O:p
<O:p</O:p

Good quotes, nice song at the finale, beautifully dark direction. I give this episode a rightfully-earned 9. (If you disagree, blame it on my illness, please!;))<O:p</O:p

Lol!You are a riot.Fantastic review. The first of your reviews i have read.By the way,i love the Ric Flair referrance, but Bret Hart was the best ever.
Thanks costas. You're missing out if that was your first one. Bret Hart fan huh? So if I mention "Montreal Screwjob" in my next review you'll get that joke? Good. And the Rock says Bret Hart wishes he was the best!

Thanks actaeon!

This was your personal best, Cedric. The best review ever! Good job! It was a magnificent review!
Thanks Joanne, I'll try to do even better next week.

Does anyone else think it's about time Cedric's review simply had it's own thread? Seems like we all talk about the episode on this thread, and then Cedric's review comes along and we talk about that instead:lol:

Definitely worthy of it's own thread, makes me laugh every week;)
You do Becky? Didn't know you read them, thanks for feedback!

Pat, its always a pleasure. And an episode like this one made it a lot easier. Thanks!

So she was supposed to betray Clark's secret?
No, here's what Chloe should have been done. When she accepted the proposal in Odyssey, she should have told Clark that she was about to marry Jimmy and that she could no longer be a part of Clark's outer-wordly life/activities, as it would strain her marriage and it would not be fair to Jimmy to have to lie to him about things. That she was putting Jimmy and her life first, ahead of what she and Clark had. OR ask Clark to mindwipe her of his secret. One of the two. But no, she selfishly wanted both. She wanted to do her stuff with Clark and patronize Jimmy for the rest of her life. She never put him first, which is what a married person does. Its even part of her vowels. Vowels that meant nothing apparently.

And there's a reason why she hasn't told Jimmy (or Clark) about certain things she did, such as murdering that guy. Its because she knew that Jimmy would divorce her butt asap and maybe even turn her in. And when Clark finds out about it he'll too want to bring her to justice over it. So she has some secrets that she chooses to keep from everybody.

Do I feel you're speaking from personal experience?
Yep Adrian. Can you believe a human being could do such an evil thing?

Well... I disagreee to the following extent: How does a "psychotic" hospitalized patient (Jimmy) get to walk freely outside the hospital AND just happens to find 2 pairs of handcuffs? Maybe it's like that in the US of A?

Ok so umm Turbulence was a bad ass episode.. i was excited at the fact that clark is started to get into the whole double identity and changing into the red and blue colors in what looked to be like a phone booth... ITS ABOUT TIME! Also we saw clark get some air.. I would have been super surprised if he flew but, you know how Smallville goes.. just a little taste of whats to come.
As for Jimmy, IT'S ABOUT TIME he noticed somethin with Chloe and Davis.. Chloe is really becoming to trustworthy with everyone else except her HUSBAND! She is really letting Davis in big friggin time..
I wish lois would have made an appearance of some sort because for a second there i thought i saw Clark and Tess gettin close.. whew.. that would be weird..
Overall, i give the episode a strong 8 1/2. :-)

----- Added 3 Minutes later -----

o and one more thing.. that little made up story by clark how he got a parachute and strapped him and tess together and landed safely in the arizona desert.. yea that was kinda lame lol my bad clark but you couldve come up with somethin else damnit!

Great review, it is nice to read a review from someone who is positive as opposed to that clown over on the Superman website. Glad you share my disdain for one Chloe Sullivan as well.

Finally watched the episode this past Saturday. My gut reaction before this episode aired was filler but after watching it I don't feel that way at all. A lot was set into motion in this episode, particularly with Davis and Tess, the two villains that were introduced this season. While there wasn't much Clark Kent, there didn't need to be. It is best to explore the Ultimate Villain Doomsday as much as we can in order for the showdown between Clark and him to have significance. It is crazy how Davis is using his "abilities" to try and do good but it is only good in his mind. Clark would never do the things Davis is doing to these poor, yet awful people.

Tess Mercer is getting better and better each episode. For a while I felt like she just didn't exist but it looks like that is about to change dramatically over the next few weeks. Good to know that there are other conflicts out there for Clark Kent other than Doomsday.

I really liked Jimmy Olsen in this episode and I'm intrigued to see what he does next. I hope he isn't just left to mourning over his faulty marriage and actually gets back into the journalism game. Who knows? He might not get back into it until one Perry White comes to the Daily Planet and he has to beg for his job back since he quit..... but I'm not getting to far ahead of myself:-)

I gave it a 9. ...mostly because there was No Lois. I would've liked to have seen More Clark, too, but as was discussed in another thread, This episode was 'Clark Lite' because TW had been originally scheduled to direct the following episode and was given less screen time so that he'd have more time to prepare. Then he got sick, and the Director's schedule had to be changed, but it was too late to alter the script for "Turbulence" by then.

I thought that it was a real solid episode with Jimmy FINALLY returning after 5 weeks absent! IMO, he Deserved the extra screen time he got. Aaron Ashmore delivered the Best Acting Performance he's ever given us since he's been on the series, IMHO. He had a chance to show us some of his range as an actor. Also, a Lot of 'issues' were addressed concerning Jimmy's & Chloe's relationship and how it's been deteriorating while he's been hospitalized and Chloe's been 'all over the place, including With Davis'. It was realistic the way Jimmy's trauma affected him and Why he's suspicious of Davis. I thought that it was high time Jimmy reacted to how he's always been treated by Chloe during their whole relationship; as a 'convenience' Boyfriend/distraction, but an Afterthought in her 'Real Life' that he has no part of. What kind of marriage can they possibly have with a foundation like that?!

It's clear that the relationship between Chloe and Davis is 'Weird' to say the least. I know Chloe has Always been a 'good person', and tries to help anyone she can, but what's going on with her and Davis is Not Healthy psychologically, especially for a 'Newly Wed'. So, what developed in this episode, IMO, needed to come to fruition. It progressed their (Jimmy/Chloe/Davis) whole story arc for this season leading toward a culmination. I'll be glad when it's Done, because I was disappointed that Chloe chose to develop a relationship with Davis that borders on 'intimate'. I'm sorry her character was taken this route, because it's 'Obvious' she's being set up for a 'Fall'.

I'm beginning to feel all kinds of emotions about 'poor' Chloe; where she's been, what she's learned, what she's endured/suffered, and how far she's come, ...the good and the bad, but more than anything, her steadfast friendship with Clark and her place in his life. I didn't expect it to feel so Tragic. I'm so SAD about it all.

As for the 'B' story in "Turbulence", which was about Clark & Tess, it was curiously interesting, IMO. I was excited and amused at how Clark's been real Busy about his Super Hero Gig and perfecting his 'quick-change' move to 'spring into action' wearing his oh-so-familiar, primary-colored Red Jacket & Blue T-shirt as his Pre-Superman super suit. I like that he was actually 'Happy' about it all as well. I Loved the DP scene between Clark & Tess, because it lightened the emotonal heaviness of the whole episode somewhat. Those perplexed expressions TW sported for Clark were perfectly hilarious, especially when he was 'stupified' that she'd asked him to accompany her on a 'business' trip. I was surprised that Clark thought about getting Tess a little drunk to loosen her tongue about Lex's supposed Journal that's full of Top Secret information about him, but for Tess' eyes only. Clark's discomfort at what might be detailed in that journal was evident. It was kinda cute, since I think Tess was onto his 'plan'. Anyway, their whole little trip and disaster was interesting because it showed that Tess is actively trying to learn things about Clark for herself. And as for the DP scene with Clark at his computer 'manning' his Police Scanner, then doing the 'quick-change' in the Phone Booth before superspeeding off 'to the rescue', it was Iconic as well as further evidence that he's moving closer toward his Destiny.

This episode was Definitely well worth a Smallville Addict's time, IMO.

I love Cedric's reviews, but I hate the way you always talk about Chloe. I don't know, you don't like the character, I get it.

The episode, well it was good, really good. The only thing that concerns me a little is the way they're taking Chloe's character, I think TPTB didn't know how to handle such a great character and they are ruining it... and that makes me sad :(

By far my favourite episode of the season.

Chloe, Davis & Jimmy
Right from the get go you could tell Chloe was struggling with Jimmy. She felt guilty that Jimmy was sitting in a hospital bed pumping drugs 'cause he was in so much pain. I don't blame Chloe for not believing Jimmy. After all he was hopped up on drugs and begging for more which leads to my question.

Q: Why did Jimmy expect people to believe him and not think he was hallucinating when he was delibrately (or at least trying to) taking lots of drugs and proving thier point?

Don't get me wrong I loved Jimmy this episode, he was great a true to his character. I love the fact that he showed genuine care for the people Davis killed. I loved the conflict with Chloe and Jimmy. Chloe honestly didn't know what to do with her husband and I felt that in her position she did the best she could. Yes I agree that Chloe was in the right with the stun gun. After what would you do if someone (who in your opinion was not int their right mind) was holding a metal pipe to a stranger chained to a fence?

lulz at Davis. " I don't think Jimmy likes me 'cause I hit on his wife but it'll be alright if I hug her outside his room. :D "

My only complaint was that Chloe didn't even have the slightest inclination to check out Davis' story but then again you can only fit so much into 40 minutes. :/

Tess & Clark

First of all lulz at Tess' flirting and Clark being the serious blind farm boy he is. XD I liked how Clark was constantly on awares with her and trying to answer her questions without seeming to suspicous. I love how Tess would keep asking and kept the smile on her face everytime she was shot down. btw Q #2...

Q: How the hell did they fake blowing up the cock pit? I serously would have liked to have seen Tess and her minions or the captain actually setting up the trick.

All in all great acting and a great plot!

No, here's what Chloe should have been done. Vowels that meant nothing apparently.

I think she simply shouldn't have accepted his proposal in the first place.

In fact, she shouldn't have dated him. But that's just me.

This episode shown how Chloe was living in delusion and that's one positive thing about this episode, IMO. I was never convinced by episodes liek Commited and Instinct when they made Chloe saying that Jimmy was her guy. At last, some truth about this relationship was put on the surface.

Especially since he tried to back out of his proposal when she agreed to marry him. I don't think they should have dated either because he didn't call her after taking her virginity. They both played in a role in the failure of the marriage. Jimmy couldn't get a grasp on his insecurities and wandering eyes. Chloe was in denial, settled for Jimmy, and ignored the red flags. The relationship should have never come this far.

The CW's Smallville Employee Newsletter

Hello underlings, we hope that this newsletter finds you in good health. Before we begin, we here at the NEW CW want to thank everyone for putting on a spectacular first half of the season. The show itself was off-the-charts, amazing, off-the-hook, in-your-face, and stuff like that. We would also like wish congratulations to Jimmy Olsen on his return after three months. As many of you know, Mr. Olsen was threatened with deadly force because the security guards didn't recognize him. We haven't yet told him that we were only kidding, so please keep that fact on the down low.

There have been some policy changes within the NEW CW that we would like to make our employees aware of. These policies are to be followed strictly. We feel that they will improve the product and give our fans the sense that we're not just making this crap up as we go along:

1. Male characters are no longer permitted to have backbones with female characters. However, female characters are allowed to speak to, mock, intimidate, and spin kick males characters.

2. In keeping with the tradition of advancement and the desire to present the stars of the NEW CW in a larger-than-life light, less known characters will be known as "stars" while the main characters will be referred to by the new term "Lana."

3. Chicks…. Female characters…. Divas will occupy most of the screentime even when only one of them is in an episode.

4. Special Effects must be kept to a mimimum in the interest of building up to action rather than presenting an exhibition of it. All fights must be kept to under 30 seconds long. Male characters are encouraged to concentrate on headlocks and eye-pokes for the duration of their performance. This is to ensure that fans will lose interest in you prior to your eventual cancelation. Uh…we mean, so that no one gets hurt.

We'd like to remind you that an ALL NEW Gossip Girls airs every Monday night at 8 PM EST/ 7 PM CST. Be a part of the most popular and exciting show our brand has to offer. Tell your friends don't miss a single night of the biggest happening on Prime Time Network. Its Gossip Girl and it's the NEW CW!

5. In an effort to keep our pledge of going GREEN, we would like you to ease up on the Red-Blue Blur storyline in the second half of the season and make Chloe the Green Arrow.

6. Soap Operas sells! Through the extensive research reported by our consulting team, we here at the NEW CW urge all of our shows to adopt a demographic-friendly approach for humans and alien monsters alike.

And Finally:

7. Any requests for vacation time must be filed at least three (3) weeks prior to the time you are looking to take off. This policy is strictly enforced for everyone except older workers who don't appeal to our demographic. They can take time off whenever they want to because we won't notice.

Note to Unimportant Characters

It has come to our attention that many unimportant characters have been making an effort to sit down in chairs while on break. Due to the current state in this tough economic climate, we are cutting back on the amount of chairs present on set for all non-Lana's. We don't anticipate any further budget cuts in the coming months, and we at the NEW CW appreciaite your dillegence and support throughout this process. If any unimportant characters are interested in <s>keeping their jobs</s> helping us achieve our goal, Human Resources can forward you the phone number of that guy on the Dr. Scholl's Foot Jel Cushing commercials.

Congratulations!

The NEW CW wishes to congratulate the following employees on a job well done:

Clark Kent - for appearing on FOX's new reality show 'So You Think You Can Dance' and being the first contestant to be shot.

Lana Lang - for being just so damn amazing. We love you, Lana.

Jimmy Olsen - for showing mythos characters that there is no hope.

We thank you all again for your hard work and dedication to the NEW CW. If you have any questions or suggestions, please print them out on a 8.5 X 11 piece of white loose leaf paper, include a self addressed stamped envelope, address it to Los Angeles c/o of Human Resources, and we'll promptly blow our noses with it.

OMFG with love,

Dawn Ostroff, President of the NEW CW.

Damn it feels good to be back writing reviews. But why continue with the small.. talk. Its time for small..ville. Bring it.

Previously ON! Chloe promised to always be there for Jimmy except when he's injured, Jimmy got bamboozled then just plain knocked the hell out, Doomsday is the ultimate wedding crasher, Davis felt something but it wasn't his connection, Davis' free will left along with with taste in women, Clark's red blue blurring is on Tess radar.

We open at a church somewhere in Smallville. Inside a confession booth sits a Priest. Davis enters and wants to have a chat about this Casey Anthony stuff. But first, he asks for forgivness of his sins. He's hurt people he cares about. Now now Davis, you're exagerrating, Chloe is only one person. No one else even knows your last name. When urged to go on, Davis admits to a beast inside him fighting to get out and play. The Priest's advice is basically: Try harder. Not much help, but Davis is trying hard and explains how hard he tryth.

We cut to a scene where Davis drives through Suicide Slum and catches a drug dealer knocking down an addict. Well well, Davis just can't take this evil sight anymore and starts to lose control.. or power up or something. He turns on the siren and the Dealer takes off. Getting out of his ambulance he steps on the addict's drug, grabs him by the shirt, and tells him him to run away to that other street in Metropolis, then turns his attention to the running Dealer. In narration, Davis explains to the Priest that whenever he comes upon evil he does everything in his power to end it. Heh, thats what I do to talking geckos. Anyways, he finds the dealer, gets all blood-eyed, and snaps the guy's neck. Then tells the Priest that snapping necks makes him feel human. One too many Steven Segal movies, dude. The Priest's advice? Stay on the righteous path. Wow, Maury Povich, eat your heart out.

Opening Credits. If you play the song in backwards it says: "Superman is icky, worship Lana" on repeat.

Kent Farm. More than two cows this time? I guess the show got a budget raise. Clark walks down the stairs and he's dressed like a limosime ridin, woo, jet flying, kiss stealin, woo, wheelin dealin, son of a gun.

For those of you who don't know Ric Flair: I'm not insane.

As Clark grabs that gawd-awful red backpack, Chloe enters smiling. After noticing how happy Clark is, she proceeds to tell him that being happy is stupid. The RBB is appearing on cameras a little too much for her taste. Clark notes the skill it took in slowing down just enough for cameras to catch him without giving away his identity, and that he thinks its worth the risk as long as it gives folks hope to see the blur. I tells ya, thats what keeps me going during Tax time. Chloe worries of his secret being revealed and Clark counters that working at the Daily Planet gives him the perfect cover. Chloe's asks how is he pulling this off, just changing clothes in the middle of work? Clark nods and demonstates how good he is getting at it already; changing into his RBB outfit then back into his suit in less than 3 seconds. Because Clark forgot one button on his shirt Chloe acts like this idea is wreckless. Clark looks down at his shirt and does the shirt ripping motion Superman is known for, with his blue shirt underneath his dress shirt. Nice!! Chloe continues about Tess being a threat to him since she got possession of all Lex's personal files.

"You don't have to worry about Tess Mercer or me. All your attention should be on Jimmy." - Clark Kent to mother Chloe, 7:11 PM. Let the congregation say AMEN.

Clark says he visited Jimmy in offscreenville and that he's still shaken up. Looking sad, he starts blaming himself for not protecting Jimmy at the wedding. Chloe cuts that off and tells Clark that the future is looking brighter for Jimmy now that he is back in town. Ha ha oh yes absolutely. Clark, please shoot her.

Metropolis General. Welcome back Jimster. Jimmy presses a clicker that releases pain medication from a nearbye machine, but its not working. He looks fustrated, then the camera pans back to Chloe entering his room. I'd want to get high too. She says, in that Chloe way, that Jimmy should know that the machine gives out a set dosage and that no amount of clicking will release more. Jimmy asks her to tell the doctor that he's in a lot of pain, and Chloe tells him that the pain he's experiencing could also be mental and recommends a shrink. Yes, you read that right. Jimmy says he doesn't need one and just wants to go home, if Chloe is Ok with that. She says she's not the one that was mauled by a monster. Excellent memory to bring up there, Chloe. Why don't you bring up his dead grandmother next. Anyway, Jimmy asks if the "thing" is still out there and Chloe tells him that Doomsday is gone forever. Why lie about that when the guy will read the reports in the newspaper the very next day? What good does it do?

Jimmy doesn't believe her and Chloe pretends that it was just an isolated incident by a meteor freak run amuck. Jimmy says something silly about it being a sign that they were meant to be together and hugs her. He looks relieved and she looks concerned. I've seen more passion at a Bar Mitsva than with this couple.

Still at Metropolis General. Later that night Jimmy is having nightmares about the wedding. Its pretty creepy except for the jam/cranberry sauce that the show keeps spalshing around all willy nilly. He wakes up in terror when Doomsday carries Chloe off. His medicine machine still refuses to allow him another dosage and he calls out to a nurse to come in, preferably a cute one with low self-esteem. OK he didn't say the last part, you got me. When he doesn't get an answer he hobbles toward the hallway for a nurse. Jimmy, Jimmy, we've been over this before. Nurses don't fit the budget silly. Some drunk guy with horrible breath barges into him, breathing heavy and saying a lot of H words. Yikes. Before Jimmy lists the advantages of tic tacs the guy runs off. Jimmy follows and sees a hooded figure grab the drunk on the elevator then snap his neck. Slow motion reveal.. Davis is the neck snapper! Jimmy can't believe there hasn't been a commercial break yet.

Commercial Break. I once had a gecko tell me to switch car insurance companies. Then I ate some orange slices and a few hours later, I was fine.

Daily Planet. He took that backpack to work? I thought he was dropping it off at the dumpster. Clark sits at his desk and a Police Alert pops up on his screen to tell him about a stand-off. Tess, lookin smokin hot if I may say so, picks up the backpack, calls it a napsack, and asks Clark if he's going to P.E. Now thats cold, funny but cold. Clark's tells her, with as much confidence as I had at Jury Duty, that he just got back from the gym.

Really. He said that. The gym.

Tess tells him that if he wants get out of the basement he needs to dress the part, then grabs the backpack and walks off with it. How rude! Clark follows, looking nervous as hell. When Tess asks what's he's hiding and unzips the bag, Clark hurrily grabs it and says that its just gym clothes and that he doesn't want her to see his underwear. Really. He said that. His underwear.

I crack up at this scene everytime I see it. Clark's freaking out like Tess is about to uncover a stack of Victoria's Secret Swimsuit magazines. Its not like she'll tear out all the good pages and run them through a shredder and then put the remaining useless pages back into the closet she snooped around in, just to surprise you when you come home from a long hard day of freakin work, Clark. I mean what kind of pyschopath would do that to a guy she says she says she loves??? None I can think of.

Breathes.

Continuing on. Tess tells Clark she'll take him shopping after they get back. Clark looks up in surprise and asks whats the dealio. Tess wants him to go with her to a press conference in L.A.. Gotta love Clark's expression here. He so obviously wants to get back to his Red Blur Blurring, and Tess knows it. In a crypic way, she tells him this is his big break and not to underestimate himself. The sky's the limit with him.

PS: We can neither confirm nor deny that the sky is the limit for Clark Kent. That's too Superman-ish.

When Tess asks Clark if he has anything else to do, he says no and she tells him she only wants reporters who take their job seriously working there. They board the elevator and Tess gives this cute look out of the corner of her eye as the door closes. Good scene.

Mr. Olsen, you're on.

Ah! Choking! Ah, uh, eeeeh…choking! Choking!

Ha, ha. Mr. Olsen! Waving those arms. I see you're getting into character.

No! No! I'm really choking!

Oh ha ha. Good one, sir. Keep practicing. Ta-ta.

Help!

Metropolis General. Jimmy paces back and forth, and Chloe comes running in askin if he is OK. Jimmy explains that he witnessed a murder and that Davis is involved. Chloe acts a little too concerned about Davis' well being and Jimmy notices, then tells her that Davis was the murderer. Davis enters and Jimmy shields Chloe as he demands to know why he's there. Davis acts all John Wayne about being locked up and questioned without reason, and Jimmy looses his marbles over him being freed after murdering; so much so that Chloe has to grab him to hold him back. Davis claims that he was in the hospital looking for a drunk driver that escaped the ER after he knew the cops were following him. Jimmy of course insists on what he saw and for a brief moment it looks like Chloe has his back.. until Davis implies that Jimmy did something to the drug machine to increase his dosage and said the nurses would verify that the machine malfunctioned. He didn't just come out and say but its implied that he himself did something to Jimmy's machine to frame him.

Well, thats all Chloe needed to hear. No need to go verify his story, just take Davis' word for it. After Davis leaves she runs into the hallway and apologizes for her crazy husband's accusations. Davis pretends to take the high ground and blames part of Jimmy's problem with on him kissing Chloe before the wedding. Chloe admits that she hasn't told him because she "didn't want to make a big deal out of it." So another guy kissing you isn't a big deal Chloe? Its only not a big deal if you like the kiss and wanted to keep it secret from your husband.

Davis acts like he's OK with Chimmy's marriage and says he's moving on with his life, then adds the cliche "If Jimmy needs anything, I'm here." Cue the Idiot pills. Chloe gets emotional and wonders if all of this is her fault. Hook, line, and sinker. That was just the reaction Davis was hoping for. He then cuddles her into his arms. Reveal Jimmy, watching the whole scene, which happened a mere three feet from his window. I think this guy could use a commercial break.

Commercial Break. Does Burger King have the nerve to put on a commercial claiming that their burgers have less than 5 net carbs, sporting fine print that reads "excluding bun, mayonnaise, and ketchup?" It's like saying that cookies have no sugar…if you exclude the sugar.

Ollie's Jet. Clark and Tess board the plane, with Clark still looking a little nervous. Tess mentions that LuthorCorp and Queen Industries are one happy company and share "all their toys". Mmm-kay I'll leave that alone. Annoymous Pilot tells says they may have to re-route to Santa Barbara because a storm might intercept their flight. Clark asks where Tess has been for the past three episodes. Oh you know Clark, people to see, things to do, such as surgery. Clark sits down and is all ears. Tess had the chip Lex put inside of her removed. Clark offers his sympathy. Tess changes the subject to Lex's obsession with Clark and you can see the color disappear from from Clark's face. He twitches his face and looks to the ground. Ha! Tess continues to pile on by reminding Clark how much Lex wanted to be like him but knew he never could. Clark is getting more freaked out by the second and looks at her suspiciously for 5 seconds of complete silience. Finally he asks her if Lex talked to her about him and Tess says she has Lex's journal. Clark blinks and gulps then asks what did it say. Tess gives a knowing smile and says its a secret. If they weren't already in the air Clark would have ran off that plane. What follows is one of the highlights of the series for me.

"Are you thirsty? I am. I'm sure Olliver keeps a bottle of the good stuff around here somewhere." - Clark Kent, the most blatant case of panic ever seen on the show, 7:28 PM.

What the hell, Clark? Ha ha! How obvious can you be! Even Tess can't help but smile.

Metropolis General. Out in the parking lot, Jimmy is posing as a paramedic. He spots Davis' ambulance and hops inside to do some digging around. After finding nothing incriminating in the front seat, he picks up a flashlight and walks to the back. There's nothing out of the ordinary medicine wise, but then he sees a water cooler. He opens it and there's a bag filled with something inside of it. He hesitates, then unzips it to find the body of the drunk guy that was murdered in the hospital. Yikes! Jimmy jumps back and smashes a glass, cutting his hand. Just then Davis opens the back door and doesn't look thrilled. Shutting the door, he asks Jimmy if he's looking for more pain meds. Jimmy mentions the body and Davis acts like Jimmy is hallucinating. Give it up dude, you're busted. And finally he does. Finally tiring of pretending, he gets really creepy with his voice and says that the driver being dead is a good thing because he hit and murdered two people, then tried to flee the scene until Davis tracked him down. The music is pretty good, here. Jimmy doesn't excuse his murdering of the guy, and Davis sees that there is no reasoning with him. After denying the murder, he stabs Jimmy in the neck with a surrenge full of drugs.

Back now in his hospital bed, Jimmy wakes up and hears Chloe screaming. He runs out into the hallway and she runs into him, screaming that Doomsday is after her again. He wants her to come with him but she tells him to get back into his room before he gets hurt. Thats all I would have needed to hear before I haul ass to the nearest exit. I'm just kidding, well, maybe not. Jimmy actually chases after her ::mumbles idiot:: but she locks herself into a room and tells him to go back to his. Listen, you fool! Doomsday appears behind Chloe and Jimmy tries to get a better look at him. For that, Doomsday (who is shown more clearer than he was in Bride), takes the hospital bed and throws it at his face. Jimmy ducks out of the way, then hears Chloe screaming. He stands to see Doomsday taking Chloe back into the darkness of the room. Jimmy bangs on the locked door and cranberry sauce/blood splashes the window. This turned out to be a hullicination due to the drugs Davis overdosed him with.

In reality Davis attempts to grab Jimmy away from the door in the hallway only to be shoved away. Many people gather around him, confused at whats wrong. Two male nurses run up and grab Jimmy to calm him down but it doesn't work until he sees that Chloe is alive, and that she's looking at him like he's crazy, again. Ugh. You wanted to keep an alien virus inside of you yet you look at Jimmy like he's the crazy one. I need a commericial break.

Commercial Break. Skittles. Taste the Rainbow. Chew the Rainbow. Spit the Rainbow. Smash the Rainbow with a shovel. Bury the Rainbow in your backyard under the shed then cover it with cement.

Clark? Clark Kent? Oh my God! Honey, it's Clark Kent. Clark, wake up!

Wha'oh! Whoa. Oh man. I'm late. Hey man, what's the fastest way to get to Los Angeles?

Los Angeles? Clark, you're in England.

What?! England? Holy crap. How long have I been asleep?

Ollie's Jet. Clark uncorks a bottle of the bubbly and pours Tess another glass. Tess isn't sure Oliver will mind them drinking all of his booze, but Clark think it'll be A-OK since its a long flight. The next thing out of his mouth is Lex' journal. Real subtle, Clark. Real subtle. Tess changes the subject back to Clark and he gets nervous again. She notes his "almost inhuman" ability to not get drunk, even after two bottles of wine. He blames it on his strong metabolism. Ha ha, WHAT!? Tess says she comes from a family of heavy drinkers. She hints at a troubled childhood and Clark sits then tells her to continue. She tells him how she use to fantasize about being a little Mermaid, waiting for her Prince to come rescue her from her abusive dad who damaged one of her ear drums and broke her arm three times. I don't know if she's lying but Clark buys it completely. Just when he lets his guard down, she brightens up and says she's good at covering her tracks- just like him. Clark's like "Whaaa?" and she brings up Lex's shrine room to him, then confesses to seeing the photos of the crushed Porshe and flattened bullets. Clark acts like Lex is crazy, but Tess insists that Lex was anything but. She bends to a knee in front of him. This is either going to be really good, or really great. She tells him that she just confessed her deepest secret to him and asks that he do the same for her. Clark looks conflicted. Don't do it Clark! Cause when you do she'll look at you like you're the freakiest one out you two. Pffft. Anyways, Clark decides not to tell her anything. Hurt that her plan didn't work, Tess gets up and asks the Pilot how's the weather looking. That had to be a code phrase or something. She then sits a few seats away from Clark, giving him glances. Ohhh the tension in the room.

An explosion is heard that rocks the plane and sounds the emergency alarms. Clark looks out the window but doesn't see anything. The music changes and the wind inside the plane is out of control. We see that the there's a giant hole in the cockpit. On the plane, Clark moves toward the cockpit door but its locked, so he punches a hole into it and peels it back to look inside. He sees that the Pilot isn't there and that there are sparks of flames inside. Simulatiously, Tess moved in the opposite direction to check on parachutes and sees two of them. They each meet back up in the middle and Clark explains what he's discovered about the explosion. Tess says she's looked for parachutes but can't find any. Ohh that sneaky Tess! She starts choking at the lack of oxygen, and Clark tells her that she'll be OK. Tess pleas for him to do something, and the music changes to a triumphant tune, with Clark's hair having a cool spit curl to it. He gives her an oxygen mask and tells her to breath, but he pinches shut the tube which causes her to faint. When she's out, he walks to the door and punches it away then picks up Tess and ....

Falls toward the ground. He just fell to the ground like a one-winged bird. Can't say I didn't call it last week! The plane explodes above them to end the scene. Even though there was no flight, I loved all of this stuff with Clark and Tess. A really good, long scene.

Mr. Duncan, I have a cold. I was wondering if I could go home early.

Sure thing, Gerald. Let’s just call in Davis to bring you to justice with a water cooler and we’ll send you on your way.

Yeah…uh, nevermind.

Suicide Slum. Davis has tracked down a would-be theif who is attempting to break into a house. As he moves toward him, he's hit in the back by Jimmy with a pipe. Badass! Davis drops to his knees, dazed. Jimmy has a pair of cuffs on him to which he uses to cuff both of Davis' arms to a fence. He says that he wasn't hallucinating the murder and shows Davis the cut he received in his ambulance when he saw the dead body. Davis looks away, upset that his cover has been blown. He starts shaking and tells Jimmy to get away from him. Jimmy refuses to until he confesses his crimes in front of Chloe, who Jimmy had called ahead of time to come down there. Davis tries again to convince Jimmy he's crazy, but thats exactly what Jimmy thinks he wants folks to believe. You see Dooms, ole Jimbo thought you just wanted to cover up your crime until he saw you mackin on his hunnie; now he knows its just part of a bigger plan to get Chloe to yourself. I lower my head in sadness at the truth in those words. Ugh. Davis starts losing control and warns Jimmy to leave one last time and when Jimmy doesn't Davis snaps off one of the handcuffs. I know the feeling. Um, anyways Davis' eyes turns red and he starts screaming like deranged rabid animal. Jimmy picks up the pipe and stands back just in case the other handcuff snaps free but screams in pain as the wanna-be hero tazers his ass unconscious.

The worst part? She bends and checks Jimmy's pockets but not his pulse. I guess she went to the Lorena Bobbit School for Wives.

Davis tells her to run but nah uh! She won't leave her monster's side. Tenderly she tells him that its OK now, and Jimmy can't hurt him. She even places a hand on his shoulder, which seems to reverse Doomsday from coming out. I.. am just amazed, and not in a good way. In disbelief, he looks at back at his still- human hands then back at her to tell her she saved him. Go.. to.. break.. please.

Commercial Break. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QjnoW4d_Io First time I saw this commercial I thought it was a new low. But after that scene? It just screams "Chimmy".

Luthor Castle. Clark opens the door to Lex' study but sees no one there. Tess, in her evening gown, stands at the top of the staircase holding a newspaper and calls Clark the Prince that came to her rescue. Clark looks up and notes that Tess seems to be doing fine with no ill effects from from jumping out of a jet and "parachutting" to a Arizona desert. Tess soothes that knew she'd fine when she woke up in the Phoenix hospital and saw him by her side. Um, this is obvious flirting but I don't know if Clark is catching on just yet. When she walks down the stairs toward him he asks if she's figured out what happened with the plane yet because someone may have tried to killed her. She tells him the investigation is still on-going. When asked about the Pilot she confirms his body is still missing and that she feels terrible about it. Hmm, oh she's good. She gives him a knowing look and says that she's lucky that Clark was in the right place at the right time, then puts down the paper she was holding. The headline said "The Red-Blue Blur to the Rescue." Busted! Clark looks at it and gets nervous again. He says that they both are lucky he found that parachute.

Speaking of, Tess asks him where he found it because she didn't. Clark luckily guesses where they were located, which causes Tess to momentarily doubt him having powers. She asks him if it there was just one chute there and he confirms- just one. Mistake! Its then that she knows he's lying about everything and never found the two parachutes. She openly hopes that the experience has brought them closer together, seeing as how she revealed her secret to him which she's never shared with anyone else before. When Clark assures her he won't tell anyone, she says Lex was right about Clark not having a bad bone in his body. That all the people in her life abused her and took away her hope but when she's around Clark she feels.. safe. Clark, you better get the hell out of there and fast before she tackles you.

He tells her that he's glad she's OK and makes for the exit, telling her that he needs to get back to work because he wouldn't want her to think he wasn't taking his job seriously. Calling after him once more, she reminds him that although she lives in Lex's place and runs his company that she isn't like him, and that Clark can trust her. Famous last words, sista. Good scene!

Mrs. Sullivan, my name is Jessica Good from the Make-a-Wish Foundation. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind granting a wish for a sick little boy.

Sure thing, Goody. What does the little Chloster want? An autographed Yaris? A piece of glass from my laptop? A fever letter to him?

No maam, actually, he just wants you to love your husband.

Kent Farm. In walks Clark and Le Femme Nikita. She asks him if he's sure that Tess knows his secret. Oh she knows everything. Chloe brings up the Jet incident and wonders if Clark flying' tipped her off, but Clark clarifies that he jumped and that Tess was unconscious the whole time. But she's heard enough and says that extreme measures have to be taken.

"You need to quit the Daily Planet and put the Red-Blue blur back into the closet" - Pure Insanity, 7:55 PM.

She might as well asked Clark to shave his legs, cause thats how he looked at her. After telling her that he would not quit his job just because Tess may know his secret. Chloe looks confused, as if what she said wasn't insane. She then brings up Tess' almost (ugh) assasination of the Pink Ranger. Clark blames that on Tess' quest to destroy the suit in order to prevent Lex from getting to it.

Hmmmm. Well, the most important thing here is that she almost killed Lana. So that makes her OK in my book.

Le Femme a Tazer doesn't believe Clark is defending the Tessmacher, but Clark seems conflicted about her being like Lex. Another warning and an eye-roll later for me, Chloe says that she has to leave to run over Jimmy at the hospital. OK you got me, she didn't say hospital. Clark asks how's the Jimster doing and Chloe decides to keep her maritial problems to herself, adding that from now on its going to be "one long happily after".

Ha ha. ::grabs some Cheetos:: Let us proceed.

Metropolis General. The cute nurse gives out the dosage directions to Jimmy's medicine, adding that they are highly addictive. The whole time this is happening Jimmy is packing angrily in the background. I've never seen a guy grab his flip-flops with such force. When finished, he takes a step toward Chloe, snatches the medicine bottle away, then walks on. Chloe stops him, offering her support. Jimmy reminds her of her tazering support from earlier, and says he'll take care of himself. Chloe actually defends her action, claiming that she was stopping Jimmy from doing something he'll regret. Jimmy's getting angrier by the second and says that Chloe believes everyone but him. She looks around, embarassed and asks that they continue the convo at [Lois'] home. Home? We have no home, he says through gritted teeth. Chloe again acts like he's off his rocker and that was her last mistake.

"No, no no no. My mind has never been so clear. I have put up for years with you taking someone else's side over mine. First Clark and then Davis? I realize now that you just don't trust me... You never have." - Jimmy Olsen telling the truth, 7:56 PM.

Chloe lies that she trusts him with her heart and uses the wife label. You fried his balls, Chloe! How THE HELL is that trust? Jimmy loses it and yells why did she even marry him. Some nosy rental cop tries to intervene. Go stuff your face with a donut and mind your business, the audience needs to hear this stuff. The Jimster's just getting started. And Chloe is just beginning to cry. She tells the rental cop that they were just leaving but Jimmy refuses to leave with her. She actually thinks they can work through this. Tell that to his defibrillator, Chloe.

"I am done trying to make this work.. marrying you was the biggest mistake of my life." - Ladies and Gentlemen.. Ownage, 7:57PM.

Ahhh ha ha ha! Yes!!! Way to go Jimmy! Various nosy people walk by Chloe and stare at her to end things. Great scene, great scene, did I say great scene!?

Daily Planet. Some security guy is hassling Jimmy about storming into Tess' office while she's not there and threatens to call security. Jimmy throws down his press badge and quits. Oh wow, I didn't expect that one. Then he slams down a folder full of photos about Davis' secret. Nice! Things are getting interesting.

Finale Montage. At the Daily Planet Clark reads the article about his saving Tess from the Jet explosion when he recieves a Police Alert. He stands, grabs his tie and speeds toward the phone booth to change into his red and blue outfit. Not that..was..cool! He spun like a little tornado inside the booth until he changed.

At the Luthor Mansion Tess gives a suitcase full of money to the Pilot and congradulations him. She set the whole thing up. Not like Lex my ass. Beware, Clark.

Jimmy drives through Suicide Slum, stopping at a red light. He takes his medicine and pours four lime skittles into his hands and eats them at once. Because afterall, if you don't taste the rainbow you'll die of depression. Feeling fruity, he runs the light, driving like Tony Stewart.

Chloe stares out the window of Lois' apartment, crying that she no longer has a lap dog to patronize and control. She even looks at her ring finger for extra would-be sympathy. Nice touch, I hope Jimmy kept the reciept.

Davis walks into the rain and stares up at her in the window to end the episode.

All in All: Well, that was fun! This was one of the best written episodes of the season. Kudos to the writers. While I appreciate fun episodes, I am just as easily entertained by the dark ones. This episode provided that in spades. I would have liked some mentions of Lois though and I'm not too thrilled about Jimmy quitting the DP, those my only complaints.

Clark was GREAT in this episode. I had no complaints or disapointments with him this week. These writers are the same that wrote Instinct, and they know how to write Superman. They give him confliction, but his heroism doesn't waiver because of it. He's pro-active, and doesn't need Chloe to get him out of a situation. They give him brains and heart. Then there were the "little" things like Clark almost ripping his dress shirt, the S curl on the plane, and changing in a phone booth. And way to stick to your guns with Chloe, Clark. Never back down and quit just to protect your secret. He was happy and proud to be the Blur, and it showed. Now thats what we need more of. These writers need more episodes, pronto.

The Cless scenes were some really good stuff. I like watching a nervous Clark sqiurm because he's such a horrible liar that it kills me everytime. Tess definately knows his secret, and that has increased the tension between them ten fold. Secret tension.. and romantic tension. I agree with others who are saying the same, I see more than just friendship vibes coming from Tess' end. She's curious about everything that has to do with Mr. Kent. Everything. I know Clark won't go there though, so I'm not expecting some type of triangle between Clark, Tess, and Lois.. yet. Clark better watch out though. Tess has anything-but innocent intentions.

Speaking of, for the first time since the ending scene of Bloodline Tess interested me. Now we're cooking. She's back to being unpredictable and mysterious. The Oliver and Lana nonsense did nothing for her this season. Give her more matieral with Clark, Lois, and Davis please. I think she'll shine with those characters, and thats where I think they are going with her. Thanks to Jimmy, she knows Davis' secret now as well. She's right in the middle of Clark and Doomsday now. We'll see what she does.

Davis was fantastic tonight. Evil, manipulative, and now embracing his villian role. The guy is flat out creepy and someone to be feared. SW can pull off the deranged looks and animalistic growls better than anyone. I perfer the Davis we saw tonight farrr more than woobie one over Chloe. I'm amazed that the writers gave him 4 scenes without Chloe and her yellow coat tonight. About time they let him interact with other characters. But I fear that the last scene is indication of him going back to thinking Chloe is the salt of the Earth. Keep up the momentum with the Doomsday arc, please.

Chloe is all over the map. She flip flops, she keeps things to herself, and she cries when it blows up in her face. Let me list the secrets she's kept from her husband in just 15 episodes this season:

1. That she lost her meteor ability. 2. That she was infected by Brainiac. 3. That she used Brainiac's abilities. 4. That she murderered a guy. 5. That she was losing all her memories, including those of him. 6. That Davis made advances on her, including kissing her. 7. That Doomsday is still out there.

Thats seven off the top of my head. Are there more? There are probably more. And these are dangerous secrets too. This is not someone who truly loves her husband, and she was going to string him along for the rest of his life without ever, EVER being honest with him about things that affect not only her, but him as well. She's chosen Clark over Jimmy, and proved in this episode that she'll choose Davis over him. Jimmy wasn't her husband, Jimmy was her hobby. Someone that gave her some semblance of normalcy, and it was only a matter of time before she dumped him. He saw the writing on the wall, and saw how she's been using him. Try that double life game on another fool, Chloe. Jimmy isn't taking it anymore. If you cannot be honest with a guy you do- not- marry the guy. No excuses, no exceptions.

Jimmy was GREAT in this episode. I was sold on Jimmy willing to put his life on the line to bring to justice a murderer, even when no one believed him. I loved at the end when he marched into Tess' office and sold Davis out. I felt for him when Davis tried to make him look like a fool after drugging him into hallucinations. Most of all, I'm proud that he finally stood up to Chloe and told her he was no longer going to take her lies. From annoyed, to desperate, to angry, to protective, to ballsy- AA did it all tonight with his brilliant acting. Welcome back, Jimmy!

Good from start to finish. The character development for almost all the characters were excellent. Best written episode since Bulletproof. 9 out of 10.

Next week: Chlois gets a twist, and I get drunk because of it.

Normally I don't like to quote long posts, but this time I'm going to make an exception. I have read each of your reviews about 4 times, but not once have I ever found anything in any of them that would make me laugh. I appreciate the time you put into them, but they're just not funny.

I have to agree with this. I have to remember that in a lot of ways I am not the person I was half my life ago at age 21. I have matured a lot because of making mistakes and learning from them, especially in the relationship department. Chloe made a mistake in marrying Jimmy and hopefully will live a long and fruitful life having learned from her mistakes in her early twenties.

I think it was a good episode. I was never much of a Chimmy fan, so to have that be over was welcome.

I only hope that they do not reunite them and break them over and over again. Once is enough. Time to move on for both characters.

I like the Bloom/Doomsday storyline. SW is facinating to watch as he slips deeper in.

I have been watching SV long enough not to trust the teasers, especially about Clark flying, but I thought it was possible. I got my hopes up just to watch them splat on the ground. Oh well. I'll keep hoping.

7/10

This was a delayed response on my part....I had to look at the episode again. But I gave it a solid 8. I actually liked all the darkness in this episode. I found myself rooting for Jimmy in this episode and was glad that he finally saw the light when it came to Chloe. Jimmy didn't bother me all. AA did a real nice job with his part. I think that was the angriest that I have ever seen Jimmy and I felt that he had every right to be PO'd. Speaking of PO'd, WTH is wrong with Chloe? Has she fell and bumped her head? I love AM, don't get me wrong. She is a wonderful actress, but I am really not feeling the Chloe character right now. This is bad to say, but I'm glad Jimmie left (even if it is for a brief time). Chloe doesn't have her priorities straight when it comes to her husband. Marriage is a partnership, and I didn't see any partnership in the last few episodes, especially when Jimmy was on his death bed and needing her the most. One even knew she was married. SW was something else. So... this is SW's Doomsday? Wow. Crazy Creepy. Tess was interesting in this episode. She actually held my interest in the way that she word-tackled Clark, played with his mind, and the way in which she is devulging into Clark's life. Very interesting dynamics between Clark and Tess. I was kinda shocked by some of Clark's actions when he pushed against a corner by Tess...eeerrr Plane, in this episode. Getting Tess drunk and cutting off her oxygen, that was un-Clark like. But TW really knows how to display uncomfortableness. Made me think Tess was Kryptonite. LOL! I was bummed about the "jump" scene though. I don't know why Season 4's Crusade kept popping in my head. Maybe because the same airplane prop was used? Anyways I expected Clark to grab Tess, tear off the entrance, jump out that plane door, and smoothly fly away with that beautiful hair blowing in the wind, like he did as Kal-El. Oh well. A girl can dream can she?

Some people are color-blind, some others humor-blind. :\ Do we dare say why? Because poor Chloe was the victim of Cedric´s humor. Aww.

Kent Farm. In walks Clark and La Femme Nikita.

La Femme a Tazer doesn't believe Clark is defending the Tessmacher, but Clark seems conflicted about her being like Lex.

This review is really Great! Funny, Spot on, and completely a joy to read! I give it a 10!! In fact, your review changed my perspective of the show. I had originally given this episode a 7, because it was too dark for my taste. But your review, had me rolling and I ended up seeing it in a different light. So, now, I just have to give the show a 9, while I give your review a 10!
Can't wait to read your next review.:)

This is one of the better episodes in quite some time in my opinion. It didn't feel rushed, was well thought out, and didn't reck the mythology. I give it an 8.

I really liked this episode, despite the Chimmy break up which broke my heart. I thought AM and AA shone as actors, showing such depth of emotion. Davis is proved to be a complete jerk who cares only about covering his tracks. So he made Jimmy look crazy? That's not his problem. I was kind of glad that Jimmy said what he said to Chloe, even though it hurt her. I felt it needed to be said. BUT it was that end hospital scene that really pulled it through to a 9 for me (I don't give 9's very often).

:rotfl:

OH...and forgot to mention how annoyed I was with Chloe when she tried to control what Clark actions should be. Quit the DP and cease heroics as the RBB? What???

I loved Aaron's acting in this one, even though it was hard for me to see him so upset. Jimmy was the best part of the episode for me.

Loved the empoyee newsletter!! :D damn funny.

I loved "Turbulence". It had everything you want from an episode. Every episode that discusses and shows about Clarks patrols around the city, even if minor scenes are great (Like they did in "Prey".) The Jimmy/Chloe/Davis scenes were also good because it really gave the story some drama. And Im all for drama that doesn't concern Clark. To me, Clark should be the one to resolve the drama, not be the cause of it...which keeps happening in Smallville too much. Clark saves Tess from her plan is a great example.

You could argue the episode was a filler. Well Jimmy and Chloe broke up but otherwise it was filler...But my god what filler it was!! I mean we get really intense scenes of Jimmy and Doomsday even if it's just hallucination. We get great character depth to Tess in this episode. As many have stated this is her best episode here. I love how she is all vulnerable and the next all cold hearted again. Loved how Clark was going to handle the situation when the talk went to Lex and possible secrets Clark could hold. He quite sensibly tried to get info from Tess, about Lex's journal by...making her drunk... :D Also loved the jump out of the plane (no, I wasn't expecting flight, but we got a little more than everyone keeps telling...I mean it seemed even Clark wasn't sure what he did when Chloe asked about it.

Loved the ending montage that wasn't Clark angsty related. I didn't mind Clarks low screentime, he just owned every second he was in leaving room for Jimmy/Chloe drama. Tess' character also got more depth as I said. This episode was to Tess like "Kandor" was to Zod. The defining episode...

I noticed Lois wasn't in it which usually automatically drops the interest but here I was just clued to the screen. Also Lois pulled her weight in the amazing "Infamous" and Erica Durance is just hilarious in "Hex".

But If I had to decide what kind of filler episodes I want, I'll take "Turbulence" over "Instinct" (loved Maxima though...)

10 from me!

i really enjoyed this episode because it focused on many characters. i feel that season 10 suffers due to only having fewer regulars and the overuse of lois when she is not needed. and despite having only 4 regulars the show still can't seem to put enough limelight on clark. sigh, only if season 10 were like season 8.

I love Turbulence. I love rewatching this one. The Clark/Tess scenes were great and Jimmy was great in this episode, but the break up was really sad. :(

Just an 8 for me...
Nice to have seen Tess open
Needed more Clark
Jimmy is so dark now (not vibin' with that)
And its was decent enough seeing Davis move closer to the inevitable
