Ok, today was enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! After sobbing like an idiot over Lois being weakend by her love for Clark, it is clear that these writers haven't a clue on how to deal with love relationships, so just STOP!!!! Is this a default setting?! Girls pining for Clark?! Seeing Lois getting hurt by him AGAIN, was just the last drop. How come this woman asks him on a date after having her heart completely broken, crushed and torn in Bride? That is not the Lois Lane i know! I mean, isn't she even curious about all that happened between Clark and Lana?!?! The scene at the barn was just sad, and i was expecting Lois going for a kiss any minute all over again!!!!!!!! "You're special"?!?! That was a quite an evolution from the "Lois is so Lois" Give it up, PS3, pay attention to Clark and only Clark, for the sake of all!!!!!!!!
Clark needs time for himself, this is his show, so, make him fly, make him grow up, make him be independent and work on his own more often!!!!!! Feeding Clana, Chlark and Clois all at the same time just makes Clark look ridiculous, someone who simply can't deal with it and text messages:rolleyes: or bury heartaches. PLEASE, PS or who else, make up a mind and stop feeding multiple ships on Clark!!!!!!!!!

After tonight I was expecting to be really pumped for the rest of the season but I'm not really sure how i feel. I watch this show in great part because of Clois; I am and will always remain a Clark n Lois fan.
As for tonight's Clois scenes i have mix feelings. I'm glad things weren't dismissed like their almost kiss in bride but making Lois Lane once again the hurt broken victim here is just wrong and practically unberable for me to watch. Also, the way Clark can be so dense, ignorant and dismissive when it comes to hurting others feelings really ticks me off.

First time poster on this site though I've haunted frequently. Like Carolina87, I was expecting to feel energized again though in the back of my head I saw the cop-out time travel solution coming. It was gut-wrenching the first time they used the device, but at this point what the show lacks is momentum.
I know the history both of the show and the comic back to '38 so I get why they can't have Lois and Clark dating and her in on the secret. At the same time, I get tired of the same emotional story every episode, every season for the last... well, a long time. Boo hoo. This show is about them growing up, and it's time both Clark and Lois did so. Why not have Lois and Clark actually date for a season without her in on it and maybe have that drive Clarks need for the double identiy to emerge (to protect her)? Which would ultimately lead to an awkward ending when she finally meets Superman and goes gaga for him (start of the DC comics mythology).
Anyway, Alania hit it on the head. It's not the Lois I know -I liked the Lana story for a few seasons, but Lois has always been stronger and less doe-eyed. Lana was the great, suffering first love. Lois is more than that. Don't tell the same suffering doe-eyed story with her. Have them get together and do something new on the show.

Lois did not ask Clark on a date. She only told him that she would be at the cafe for coffee because she thought Clark wanted to talk about what happened between them at the wedding. He probably did want to talk about it but he chickened out in the end. Now she knows to leave him alone. I think he will have to approach her next time if he wants a relationship with her. Otherwise, I think she will be moving on after this.

I wanted her to say she loved him before he left, thats what she meant.
I just hope there isn't any DC restriction on Clois. I feel your pain.

I'm pretty sure it was a date.
She gave him an out - saying they never had to bring up the almost kiss again. He kind of hedged (which was a jerk move if he had no plans to pursue it) - and she was emboldened by it. She went on to say they didn't have to overanalyze it - so coffee wasn't about talking things through - they could just go with the flow. If he was into the idea, he'd meet her. If he didn't show she'd "have her answer".

I don't know. I don't think she is pining.
She invited him to the coffee shop to see where they were at, but also said that if he didn't show she said "Let's just say I get it." And so when he didn't show, she was disappointed obviously, and upset, but I don't think our girl Lois is the type to pine. By not showing, he was saying to her I don't want to talk about it/I want to forget it happened. And that is her cue to move on. And I think being Lois Lane, she will, she'll become obsessed with the RBB and then Clark will keep falling for her, and start pursuing her, but by this time she will have moved on from it, and it will make it that much more interesting... (that's not to say I still don't think that she was definitely heart broken at the cafe...I know I was for her...I'm just saying I don't think she'll pine for too long.) :)

Poor Lois, this girl deserves so much more...urg Clark...
I am so over any Clana that even some Clois heartache is a relief but still, give those two a break.
Either get them together soon, or try a new storyline

He does not deserve her. Move on, girl! This pining business is not you. Screw Clark.

I can understand Lois being interested in Clark even after Bride. I'm in the same boat myself in real life (tho I'm a dude). I have had my heart bruised because someone I care for is in another relationship. If her relationship ends though, I'm not going to let being wounded stop me from trying again.
So, I dont really see what is to be so upset over. The episode was good.

Alania, I so agree with you. Though I see many of fans ar happy about Clois, I gave up..She has been dumbed again by Clark, and actually you're right abut the fact that the writers don't know the true nature of the characters, I tell you, they don't know who Clark is and who Lois is..They just like to play with their feelings, and with ours..

I felt bad for Lois. But I see why Clark did it. I think this showed he was growing. He learned from past mistakes. He knew that pursuing a relationship with Lois wasn't a good idea since he knew it wouldn't function well with out him telling Lois his secret. And he already said he could never tell Lois his secret. He already put so many people in danger. So I see that. But Clark still has tons and I repeat TONS of growing up to do. He really could've handled it better then just standing her up and watching how sad she was and see her pretend she didn't care when he saw that she did.
So yeah, Lois, your too good for Clark right now. Forget about the BDA.

I'm fine if they don't ship any clark relationships ever again on smallville. I'm more interested in his transformation into Superman, not an interest in Lois

I don't really agree with this assessment. She didn't really ask him on a date, she had planned to go to that coffee shop anyway so she said he could come if he wanted to. Now, its obvious that they still have some things to talk about but that will be saved for a later date.
It was implied that she knows about what happened with Lana, of course not the Lana has a power suit detail, but that she atleast came back and left him again. And I think that is something she knew would ultimately happen but was disappointed in Clark that he didn't or that she isn't measuring up to that standard for him.
The last scene showed us that they both are afraid of what might be. If Lois hadn't gone to the shop either, that wouldn't be Lois Lane. The fact that she did go shows what kind of person she is. He shouldn't be ready to dive into anything because I think he is in the same position she is as was mentioned in Siren: They both can't be left behind again. So, the next time will be for good... and as we all know, it will happen some day.:)

I agree, but I guess we have to just assume that Lois doesn't have any idea what went on with Lana. Sure Lana came back, but she's totally in the dark about Clana getting back together again and the way they broke up. For me, that's the breaking point right there with Clois. When something this significant is kept from Lois, that's a very poor foundation for a relationship, IMO.

She didn't use all the words, Sunny, but it was implied, it was between the lines; Clark may be "fresh off the farm" like she put it, but he's not stupid. If he wasn't ready to talk, he should have said on that moment, by the stairs, not "ok" and then stand her up by text message. If he had called when he was standing accross the street, i would have been less unhappy.

Thanks for the positive post, house,:) i am not in my optimistic days. This thread was all i could post so far, couldn't post a single reply in the others, cause Lois' hurt look is very alive on my mind! When i saw the clip for Infamous, with Lois's line: "you may have forgotten about me...." i was thrilled, cause it looked like she knew clana happened during her abscence, even if it was offscreenville. But, she was just mad at the airport thing, cause the second time he picked her up, she was in a good mood. Such in a good mood, that sort of invited him for coffee. I know this show needs romance too, but the ships are too overrated. They keep clois alive with these bones and they keep Chlark alive with Chloe as his 24-7 sidekick. I'm not even sure Clana is dead, i mean, where did she go? Why did Clark let her go completely?

I would have been fine with her getting knowledge of it offscreenville and then talking about it. But simply ignore it, no, no, no, inacceptable. I know he ows her nothing, but the friendship line has been crossed and he needs to come clean with her about clana, just not mentioning the whole kryptonite part. In order for any relationship to work, there has got to be communication between the two parts, and seeing Clark yesterday, he doesn't want talk, he wants to let it go, let time pass. And that's not Lois's way of handling, she wants to talk and settle things straight, but she's bumping into Clark's wall. And she knows when she's not welcome, she's gonna stop now and the Clark-Lois chase that is so fun to watch, imo, won't be the same here.
The season is not finished yet, so maybe he's yet to sit and talk to her, but they need to do that, he needs to verbalize his feelings somehow, one of the main reasons Lois and Clark work is because they talk, Lois can reach into Clark's feelings. She should have built her walls, to give them time and space, but, nevertherless, she was willing to swallow her pride and have an open talk with him and he chose to simply text her, saying he wouldn't. To me, that's is not the start of anything, in any way and it deeply hurts me seeing that Lois from Bride and that Lois from yesterday.

It seems most guys shy away from "complicated" "relationship" conversations.
I guess an Alien from Krypton is no different:/
