I sure am!

He should have kissed her before he went back. And why the heck did he ignore her warning about Davis/DOOMSDAY? Man, sometimes Clark can be "Beep!"

And I hated when he stood her up.

No. I'm not mad. It is too soon for them to kiss.

I thought it was coming after she said the line about him being blind, but I am not disappointed by its absences. I do think they twisted the knife a bit at the end with the stand up by Clark.

Before I saw the episode I was really hoping for a kiss, but I don't see how it would have fit. The scene in the barn was pretty emotional, but Clark really had other things on his mind. He was so caught up in going back in time that I don't think it would have fit if he had kissed her. I think he might regret it in the future though. I think kissing her is going to be on his mind a lot in the future, and Lois is going to have none of that after being stood up.

They should have kissed in the barn when Lois and Clark were talking about Clark going back in time.

It is to soon for Clark and Lois to kiss. I think it is unnecessary for them to kiss for the sake of kissing.

After what happened with Lana? Come on....Lois is not a rebound, she is his soulmate and it will take some time to develop. I was disappointed that he stood her up tho. He could have just met her for coffee, nothing needed to happen....all he needed was to show up and let her know that he is open to it!

No, I'm actually very happy there was no Clois kiss. Too much, too soon. That's all I gotta say.

And why the heck did he ignore her warning about Davis/DOOMSDAY?
I think it's because he thought she was going to say something like Chloe's dead and he didn't want to hear that... that's what I had in mind when she run to tell him.

And about the kiss I think it's too early and after all Lana story there has to be a time passing :) as much as I don't want it to be but this is a great show and I admire that they go things slowly it's the right thing to do!

While I wished it could have happened, I actually think it's wise of them not to have it right away. So I'm alright with it not happening. :)

I'll admit that before this episode aired I wanted them to kiss, since we haven't seen them together onscreen for four months. But after seeing the episode, I'll say I'm certainly not mad/dissapointed about no kiss. TPTB made the right descision :)

No, I certainly am not mad that there was no kiss!
I think it's quite the opposite actually.

I was afraid they'd do something stupid like having a kissing scene between Lois and Clark, and thank God, they didn't! I think it would have been way too soon!
Lois just came back, and the walking disaster (=Lana XD) just left.
When they'll kiss it needs to be meaningful and, it sure wouldn't have been if Clark had been sucking face with Lois when he supposedly just lost 'the love of his life' (yeah right).

:D

And most of the Clois dialog we had was even better than any kiss could have been, in my opinion.

Nope. Not really mad about the no kiss...I think a part of me wanted a Clois lip lock..But it's too soon after the Lana arc for that..I really enjoyed the way this episode played out in terms of Clois...:)

Don't count on it. Clark's afraid.

Let me clarify, don't count on it being Clark kissing her - if at all, it will be the Blur. Sheesh!

I would have wanted him to kiss her at the barn scene, when he was about to rewind time, because let's face it, she wouldn't remember it anyway! But no, I think it's too soon. I've been saying this over and over again. But it's too damn soon!

I was glad there was no kiss. It would have been too much too soon and then people would be complaining that Clois was being shoved down their throats. I like the fact that they really played up Clark's conflicted emotions with the no-show at the coffee date - but I did have flashbacks of Lana. I would like to see them take the Lois-Clark relationship in a direction that does not parallel Lana-Clark. I hope they do so without too much emphasis on the she-can't-know-my-secret angst.

Also they could not have Clark hear the message from Chloe via Lois re: davis bloome. It would reveal Doomsday's ID too soon... He can't know yet!!

Still, I am very much looking forward to the first genuine Clois lip-lock. It is sure to be a doosey!

Yes and No.

Yes, because it was there and the producers wrote it off the script AGAIN.

And NOOOOOOOOO because that blur thing still loves LANA.

Hahahaha do you think that I forgot about that 4 trashy episodes? I so did not.

Going in, I would have said HELL NO to a kiss between them. Way too soon after the Lana arc. However, near the end of the episode where Lois is pouring her heart out, and it serves as a final goodbye type of scenario, I wouldn't of had a problem if Lois had given Clark a goodbye kiss in that instance. I mainly just didn't want to see Clark make any advances. However, I think a goodbye kiss before the restart would have worked in nicely with Clark's conflicting emotions at the end of the episode.

No I'm not too mad. As much as I'd have liked a kiss, it really is too soon. They have to have time to develop their relationship. When it finally happens it will be fantastic. Well worth the wait.

Being that TPTB hinted at a kiss, I was irritated that again we got denied.

However, the story line as it was didn't call for a kiss, so that was fine.

But it's just not right for TPTB to give us a spoiler that simply isn't going to happen.

I'm glad they didn't kiss. At first I there to be a kiss, and I thought there was going to be one at the barn, but I'm glad it didn't happen. When they do kiss, I want Clark to be free of the Lana ghost and know for sure that Lois is the woman for him.;)

Too soon for a kiss...he was just with Lana, for goodness sake. Plus, he's blind, as Lois pointed out.

03-14-2009, 05:54 PM
The only type of kiss that would’ve been fantastic and special after telling her “No Lois, you don’t understand, it’s because you are special” would’ve been on her hand while gently stroking her face lovingly and then saying “I got to go”.

Honestly, if they would’ve kissed after basically admitting they had such strong feelings for one another, the guy would’ve forgotten what he had to do, Chloe would’ve died and Linda Lake would’ve ended up in 3009…..then what???….LOL

A hug would've been great too but it's too soon for a real kiss between them after Lana. They both need a little more time...not too much time though....

Tatiana
03-14-2009, 05:57 PM
I am not mad, i want their kiss to be special, to be when Clark finally realizes he is meant to be with her and only her, not just cuz he is starting to feel things for her but still has the Lana thing on his head, it would be unfair for Lois

IMO Clark is over Lana, but I was fine with no kiss. I don't want anything Clois rushed. I like the process of getting there the best,

A kiss may have been nice, it was very clear that Lois wanted to kiss Clark in the barn (and Clark may have wanted a kiss too)... but it's just too soon. She just came back! I can wait for that moment... because when it happens I want it to be one of two ways: very comical - (like Chloe and Clark kisses when they were in high school) or very because it's right timing, as opposed to the end of the world.

What it was for me was thinking it may happen because of the spoiler, I was looking for it. I think it worked out better that they didn't in this episode. I would love to see one in another episode this season though.

I think the barn scene was just perfect for a kiss, it would be very nice, because after that words it was silly that they didn`t kiss or at least have a hug...
and it was stupid for him not to listen her when she talks about Doomy...

llk6165
03-15-2009, 11:00 AM
I'm not upset about no kiss, b/c my goal was just to get past the other ships and start the Clois feelings. But, what did they start in Bride that they didn't get to finish. Was that just a way to get everyone thinking they would kiss? I always figured they just never got to finish a piece of cake from the wedding.

No. Not mad that there was no Clois kiss. Mad at Clark's stupidity. The BDA is back. At least Lois was also able to see this before he took it upon himself to change back the hands of time.

NO KISS.

I'm all for Clois but it should come after an appropriate mourning period for Clark. A kiss at this stage would show;

1. Lois as the rebound girl (TPTB were unclear how much time had elapsed since Lana's exit) and even though I'm not Lana's greatest fan, there has been eight years of emo longing on Clark's part that can't be swept under the rug so easily.
2. Clark's feelings for Lana were as shallow as a puddle (and this would reflect badly on him).
3. He needs to get over his insecurities and be sure that Lois is the one above all others. Lois deserves no less because she's already there; "this was different".
4. Clark needs to work for his kisses now. ;) And none of this kissing that only he will remember (see Crimson).

It's too soon. While I'm a huge Clois fan and have been dying for some scenes between those two for 4 months, it's just not the right time for a kiss. I'm betting on the season finale or season 9 sometime, definitely.

i have been hoping four a clois kiss. but it would have been to soon IMO. he first have to see how much he has fallen four lois four a kiss to happen. i hope its this season or in the season final. i dont mind waiting four a kiss as long s its a really pasionate one and not just a kiss to get it over with. i want to see some spark flying around:D

No. It was too soon for them. So thank god the kiss was out. And when I read Caroline Dries' comment about Erica, and Erica's thoughts about the kiss...It made me respect Erica even more if that's possible (I already was her fan, but she won me over again!:D), and Tom too, because he understood and agreed with the point.

Ankhara

What were their thoughts about the kiss?
Erica called Caroline, and explained that Clark's character and Lois' character deserved time and respect about the situation going on between them. Here's Caroline's comment:

"My Erica statement is a short little story about why I like her so much.</SPAN></SPAN>
When we were in prep for 'Infamous' Darren Swimmer (who was producing the episode) and I got a call that said Erica has a thought on the script.</SPAN></SPAN>

'She wants to lose the kiss with Clark right before he goes back in time.'
</SPAN></SPAN>
This news was met with a confused chuckle from me. 'Uh Clark and Lois have to kiss. It's such a huge, promotable moment.' Plus Erica wasn't in the pitch when I outlined it to the studio and network and they LOVED it.</SPAN></SPAN>

The set up to the scene I wrote was that Clark tells Lois he's going back to before the world knew he was the Blur and Lois realizes, 'that means I'm going to forget who you really are.' And she's bummed. And she mulls on that a beat and then looks at Clark and says 'well I may not remember you, but something tells me you'll sure as hell remember this' and she plants one on Clark. Sexy Genius, I know.</SPAN></SPAN>

But whatever, TV's collaborative. So we called Erica back to hear her thoughts at least. So Erica starts talking about the scene. She loves it. She just wants to lose the kiss with Clark. I’m on the other end thinking 'you've gotta be kidding me.' I'm about to pull my hair out when Erica launches into one of the most eloquently stated, passionate thoughts I'd ever heard about Clark and Lois. To summarize:</SPAN></SPAN>

'Lois is nothing without her self-certainty. She has nothing to prove to Clark and she’s not the type of girl to throw herself at a guy out of desperation. If it’s meant to be, it will be.'</SPAN></SPAN>

As Erica talks, I jot down on the back of my script to Darren 'OMG she's so right.' And there went the kiss.

Erica reminded me that I don't love Lois because she loves Clark. I love Lois because of her unwavering confidence. And it's Erica's fearlessness as an actor that makes her such an amazing Lois Lane."</SPAN></SPAN>
When they consulted that idea with Tom, he agreed to leave the kiss out too, showing the same respect for his character (and the Clark & Lois relationship). Erica vehemently declined too TPTB's intentions to put Lois in the middle of Lana's arc, because they wanted to do a darn romantic triangle  -she respected Clark and Lana's relationship so she asked them to leave Lois out of it- (besides at that time, Erica was offered a rol in a TV movie too, If I remember correctly; so she decided to go and do it), and she even said in an interview that Lois went away to really help Jimmy, and to give Clark some time and space. She respected Tom's character. And in Tom's case was the same. He actually put his signing for the new season (S9) on hold, until TPTB outlined their plans for Clark and the season (and of course those plans had to be more specific and included Lois and Clark's relationship and Clark's more serious steps to become Superman, to convince Tom and bring him back -this time as a Co-Executive Producer ;)-); because let's just say he wasn't very happy about how things went out at the end of S8, so he wasn't so sure about coming back for another season (and that's when this rumor about Brandon Routh replacing Tom in SV, began -I don't know if someone remember that, but I do -).
