This episode had Clark reveal the truth to Lois about his alien origins. Was it your favorite Reveal the Secret scene? Or was one of the previous reveals your favorite?
Personally, mine was the reveal to Chloe in Arrival. This one was second, though.

We got to hear Chloe's reaction to his alien status in Arrival, here we didn't. I like that he picked up the desk though. But I love that Chloe saw the Fortress.

I liked the way he revealed it to Lois. It wasn't an accident she found out, he straight up and told her. Plus I liked the desk scene, and how she ends up in his arms. It was cute and funny.

There wasn't much to the reveal (at least between Lois and Clark) tonight IMO. I would have thought there'd be more during the discussion of Clois about his abilities and origin. Yet another missed opportunity. I mean, a reveal/interview is iconic Clois...is it not?

I liked how he actually TOLD Lois rather than having her find out like the others did. I enjoyed this reveal a lot. Clark made the decision to do it on purpose.

The Chloe reveal was top-notch and can't be topped. She got to see the FOS, however she already knew he had powers, she did get the big reveal about him being an alien, which made that scene stellar.
Tonight's scene is a close second though, seriously.
If tonight's scene had Clark actually saying he was an alien to Lois on screen, well, that would probably have tied it up for me.

I loved season 4's buildup of Chloe finding out his secret, up until Arrival. The hospital scene was so wonderful.
Lana learning about Clark's powers in the wine cellar in "Promise" was also really good. The barn "I'm an alien" scene in Phantom was pretty meh, though. "You're still the same Clark Kent to me." Gag.

Infamous was cool but it could've been better if he actually demonstrated his powers. Lois' reaction to the x-ray vision was priceless.

Much like the Clana one in Reckoning(which i would have voted best ever), the fact the time reversal happens makes it hard to give them great ratings.
Both Pete and Chloe it felt like Clark was forced into telling them by outside ciurcumstances(although I guess same could be said with Alicia) and Lana's at the end of Season 6 was ruined by her being to noisy(see Promise). Although of the three cast members at least Clark told her without completely being forced to do it and of his own free will so I might rate it the best of the 3.

For me it's a tie between when he told Chloe everything in Arrival (and how she already knew some stuff several episodes before that), and Clark telling Lois tonight.

We didn't get as much as I wanted. Why did it have to be off-screen? :(

Kind of a toss up between him telling Chloe and this one. I really loved the way Chloe's and his conversation went, but have you noticed both cousins went to cover themselves up when he said he has x-ray vision.....haha....that is so great.....

The Chloe reveal is my favorite it shows the evolution of the secret.First she sees Clark do his think for months she thinks he's a meteor freak. Then she learns he's an alien and hears all the info. The Lois reveal in tonight's episode is my second favorite because it's a taste of things to come later on.

:DDefinetely this episode where Clark reveals his secret to his future soulmate Lois, itīs a show about what itīs coming in their love future:D
and the firs reaction and the firs words of Lois donīt compared with any other revelation, that momen when he lifted Lois with the whole table and watching Loisīs face was amazing, even the music of that scen made the emotions came to the top:D

The reveal in "Infamous" was good, but I think my faves (in no particular order) are "Duplicity", "Arrival", and "Reckoning". The Clana kiss in "Phantom" was good as well, but the fact they kept her wedding ring on made me very upset (what kind of future divorcee' keeps the ring she got from a crazed psycho, while kissing the man she really loves?!)
Pete's reaction in "Duplicity" is priceless to this day, as is Clark's line: "Pete...we have to talk." :D
The entire hospital scene in "Arival" is great, but what made it better in retrospect was Chloe's dialogue in "Mortal", while Clark is crawling through that air vent: "Wha--? Pete got to see your spaceship?!"

It seems that ignorance is bliss aorund here.
This reveal was no where in the same galaxy as the one in Reckoning. There was nothing loving, spectacular, momentous and original about it. It was just a presumptuous and desperate story that made Clark learn a valuable lesson about public relations.
When Clark told Lana his secret for the first time it was because he loved her and wanted her to marry him. He planned a whole morning around it! They met in the barn, Clark then brought Lana to the caves, they teleported to the Fortress of Solitude, he told her his true origin, showed her all his powers in one concentrated and delibrate effort, made her an engagement ring in the process, and then got down on his knees and asked her to marry him! I don't know how any other reveal can come close to this one?! It's one of Smallville's most iconic scenes.
It was the first time Clark chose to tell someone his entire truth and opened his life to that person. His intention was pure and full of love. He wanted her to know everything and accept him as who he really was before asking her to commit the rest of her life to him. She of course said yes but sadly her fate was to die because Clark loved her above everyone else. Clark however could not live without her, so he demanded Jor-El to bring her back to him and so time was rewound to that fateful morning. The reslut of this first time reversal was the loss the second person Clark loved the most, his father.
That episode and its aftermath set everything else that would happen in the following seasons in motion. It's not an episode one can easily ignore. It was even worthy enough to be the 100th episode. Clark's love for Lana in that episode gave their story its highest and lowest points.
This episode unfortunately, had none of the same effect, gravitas, or emotion as the one it imitated so blantantly. The reason in this story for rewinding time was not for bringing the love of Clark life back from the dead but because his safety and survival depended on it. So again Clana share another connection that even transcends time.
And the only reason he told Lois his seceret was because he was forced to reveal his truth before Linda Lake revealed it to the world. He never had any intention of telling Lois because she still just a friend and not worthy of learning his secret. But the circumstances again pushed him to open up to someone who he hoped could help him tell the story he wanted to share. She was just a reporter who happened to be his friend too, nothing else, nothing more.
I hope I shed some light on this debate. I am surprised so many people are still in the dark about this show.

That's rather presumptuous and rather rude of you to state that we are all in the dark & ignorant for not finding "Reckoning" to be the best reveal of the secret. It's the best IN YOUR opinion. Not mine and everyone else here who stated a different opinion than you.
If we're really nitpicking, the reveal in "Reckoning" didn't matter and neither did the one in "Infamous", because in the end neither Lana or Lois remembered anything. How much emotional impact can either scene have if the only one who remembers is Clark?
Chloe learned about the powers from Alicia and the rest of the story from Clark in the beginning of S5. Pete learned because Clark felt he had no choice after Pete found his spaceship in a field. Lex learned everything in the Artic before destroying the FOS. Lana tricked Chloe into revealing Clark's powers and then Clark admitted the rest later.
Those are the only four instances where any character really remembers anything afterward. Of those I found the most epic to be Chloe's because the buildup all S4 of knowing Clark's secret was good, but the big reveal to Chloe about Clark being an alien was what made it for me. But that's just my opinion. I preferred that scene because it had the impact and consequences afterwards.
Instead of raining down on other people's parade for having a differing opinion, have the same respect you would want yourself. If they prefer this scene, that's their opinion. Have some respect for that.

The Chloe reveal was the best because they were able to spend the most time on it. First, she sees Clark catch the car in whatever that episode was, where Alicia "outs" Clark. (Forgot the episode title.)
Then, in "Blank", which is one of my favorites, she spends the whole episode seeing him use his abilities. The priceless line, when they're sitting together and he asks, "How am I able to do all these things?" and Chloe says to the air, "Why did I always picture myself on the other end of this conversation?" And, frankly, the last bit in "Blank": Chloe says, "You had a chance to start with a clean slate, and you did everything the same, except for one thing."
"Did I do something....unusual?"
"You trusted me." (Episode ends.)
A great bit! Shows the Chloe/Clark friendship right there.
(Sidebar: Lois and Sheriff Adams seeing Clark hold up the enormous generators in the end scene of "Blank" and Lois saying, "Guess I shouldn't call you Smallville anymore." You can see how Clark is anguished at the thought and how scared the two women are. Fortunately, Clark is saved by the memory-erasing meteor freak (yet another mind wipe), so this reveal doesn't really count either.)
And then there was, of course, "Commencement" where Chloe, knowing Clark's secret, pulls him away from the meteor rock in Lex's vault so that Clark can take the Stone to the Kawatche caves and make the crystal that will form the FOS.
And, finally, "Arrival", where there's a great one-on-one. She handles the shocking knowledge with grace, and actually reassures Clark. The line "Actually, I'm not even from this galaxy." - Clark says that, he's making the big reveal. The camera then focuses on Chloe. If you play the scene very slowly, you can see her facial expressions - at first laughing, then seriousness as she realizes Clark isn't kidding, then awe and amazement. Very good acting job there.
So the writers took proper time - several episodes - to make the revelation, show how Chloe reacted to it, and have be ready to accept Clark when it turns out that he's really an alien and not a meteor freak. The leisurely buildup made all the difference.
**************
In contrast, the Pete reveal was well done but all crammed into one episode. And it's tainted for me by further episodes - Pete turns on Clark, uses him to do bad things in that stupid car racing episode, and pulls kryptonite on him in the stupid Stride gum episode.
***************
Lana - a good reveal in "Reckoning" - I agree with the previous poster who said that Clark built up to it, showed her all his powers, etc. Also, Clark did make a choice to tell, here - he wasn't seen, events didn't force his hand. This, in my opinion, is the second best reveal on the show. But I must also agree that does it really count if time was turned back and the events were erased?
I love that episode, though, for its exploration of the "road not traveled". And, of course, things actually turn out worse for Clark - not only does he not have the girl, he realizes it's too unsafe to tell her his secret, and Jonathan is dead!
The second Lana reveal, during the Lex-Lana wedding arc and end of season six - also tainted. Lana was creepy evil pseudo-Lex then. Locking Chloe in a freezer to get Clark to come and show his powers? Watching secretly? Boy, is that Lana's character right there!
******************
Alicia - on the one hand, Clark has the feeling of "we're in this together" - two freaks, each with a power the world would hate and fear if the world knew. On the other hand, Alicia was so psychologically damaged, you knew things would turn out badly. Also, Clark didn't choose to reveal himself - he was forced to by Lionel Luthor setting up the elevator accident. I'm sure that Lionel had hoped that Clark would be in with a whole passel of students (not just one other) so that Clark would be exposed in front of a maximum number of eyes.
*********************
Lex, in the Fortress - this could have been so good, and yet it turned out so poorly! Seven years of friendship that gradually turned to enmity - the yin and the yang, the opposites attracting and balancing. And yet the big scene in the FOS was curiously anti-climactic. Lex's justification, fighting off the alien invasion, was well-delivered, but the scene could have been much more. I was left screaming at the TV set, "Is that all there is?" A very unsatisfying reveal.

Like the Lois reveal though the whole time reversal thing makes it hard to pick it the best one. If the secret sticked after that point I would agree definantly the best one so far. I still pick the Lana reveal(Season 6) the best out of Pete, Lana and Chloe because even though she spied on him earlier in the season he at least told her with his own free will without any outside circumstances surrounding it(can't say the same for Pete and Chloe).

My favorite reveal is one they didnt keep up with was when Lex chased Lana into an accident and Lex saw Clark run to the scene. Lex' drunk and shocked look on his face was something I still cant forget. That episode was brilliant and in my mind one of the best ones even if Jonathan Kent did die in this one because it showed so much emotion I had a tear in my eye... and that is something hard for me to do lol

He was forced into it by Lake threatening to expose him. Had she never returned, he wouldn't have told her.
So could it safely be said that pretty much all of the reveals were all brought about by outside circumstances seemingly forcing clark's hand into telling the truth about himself?
Help me out here...
Pete - I don't quite remember what happened with Pete (sounds like it was funny though - I should re-watch that one! which episode again? thanks!)
Chloe - because Alicia forced the info onto Chloe that Clark has super abilities... And then later, Chloe followed him into the cave to knock out lex and follow Clark into the fortress. Being in the FOS and Clark needing to use his abilities to save her life is why Clark needed to explain to Chloe who he is.
Lex - because he followed the Veritas clues and figured it out for himself when Clark was the one to show up at the FOS.
Lois - reveal #1 - (crimson) because of being infected with redk, he wanted to impress Lois.
reveal #2 - because of Linda Lake's blackmail he decided to come out to not only Lois, but the world.
Lana - reveal #1 -because Clark knew he was losing her. He knew she wasn't satisfied because she said that he was keeping something from her and she was pulling away from him. So he decided to come clean about everything following it with a proposal to seal the deal.
reveal #2 - she set up a trap to find out once and for all what for sure was his secret.
reveal #3 - ? I don't remember this one - refresh my memory! thanks! :)
Lionel - in order to save Martha's life, he had to expose his abilities to Lionel as well.
Alicia - little help on this one as well... don't quite remember it! sorry to the Alicia fans! :)
so my question is... who took the news the best? lol :)

Lionel already knew before "Mercy". It could be he argued that he already knew around the time of the first meteor shower or at least suspected he was the Traveler at some point. It would seem that he knew for sure after the events of "Commencement", when he became an oracle for Jor-El.

Pete found his spaceship and showed it to Clark and Clark was acting all wierd saying they should hide it, Pete got mad at how Clark was acting(like Clark was trying to hide something), got in his car and drove away, then Clark then decided it was time to reveal his secret to Pete
reveal #2 - she set up a trap to find out once and for all what for sure was his secret.
reveal #3 - ? I don't remember this one - refresh my memory! thanks! :)
Clark in Phantom willingly told Lana how he feels about her and told her his secret. Would have been way better if she didn't spend alot of the previous season spying on him like you mentioned above (or even if Lana wasn't a married woman) but at least Clark wasn't put into a situation with her that he had to tell her then and there(like Chloe and Pete)
Sunny8

I like that Clark willingly told Lois about his alien status. He did not have to. He could have let Chloe write his story instead of Lois but he went to her and told her everything. I think she is the first person that he has done that for. He told Alicia and Kyla because they saw him demonstrate his powers. He told Lana because she was leaving him (again). He told Chloe because she found out anyway and he told Pete because he was angry with him (Clark). Lois was the only one he told of his own free will. That is sweet:).
