View Full Version : Do the final scenes save some episodes?

This is by no means meant as an episode bashing thread, but more and more lately with Smallville I have found myself thinking things like "What?", "That's stupid", "Why would he do that when he has (insert power here)?", "This doesn't make any sense", "I don't like this episode", etc etc etc.....but then, after watching the episode's final scene, I wind up leaving the hour with a happy feeling about the episode and find myself actually liking it.

Recent examples would be the Clark/Lana farewell of Requiem, and tonight's episode, the Lois/Clark coffee non-date.

Does anybody else feel this way? Does the final scene 'make the entire episode' for anybody else?

I've had the opposite reaction to several last scene's this season, especially tonight's. They break the entire episode for me...

Yeah, but still. I kinda really liked that scene. It was perfect for the episode.

It was only thing I enjoyed, and that says a lot.

I'm not saying that I didn't like seeing him tell her his secret, but at the same time, all of that felt like a distraction because it almost seemed like the episode could've started at the coffee shop instead of ending there.
