That song was perfect for the final scene. I just wish Clark could have at least sat down and drank some coffee with Lois! Nothing had to happen! Why couldn't it just be a "welcome back" coffee discussion? *sighs* I still love the idea of clois on the show....someday!

Dreamer ~ by Uh Huh Her

You've seen the worst of me now.
I'm all alone, see?
You lost me somehow.
And what we're fighting for is peace.
Are you still in love with me?
Or someone else?

Well are you such a dreamer?
Put yourself in my shoes.
Careful what you wish for, love.

I've seen the worst of you too.
I let it go, see?
Because I have to.
And when I'm falling on my knees,
You'll take my hand in yours.
What will be, will be.

Well are you such a dreamer?
Put yourself in my shoes.
Careful what you wish for, love.

What's the matter with our ways?
I'm missing something,
Not to blame.
But don't you worry,
This will pass.
It's only cause my mind's been spinning
No control, I've lost my head.
All of this is just beginning.
Not enough,
Never enough.
I'll only want to keep on dreaming.

Well are you such a dreamer?
Put yourself in my shoes.
Careful what you wish for, love.
Well are you such a dreamer?
Put yourself in my shoes.
Careful what you wish for, love.

i agree the music just sold that last scene so beautifully. Clark couldn't go over though, emotionally he's finally coming to terms with his feelings and Lois had prefaced the meeting as possibly discussing what had occurred during the wedding. He'd just heard her wish that it be anyone other than Clark Kent, this will lead to his wish in Hex to be "normal" and not having to leave her behind.

Thanks for the info...Im listening to the song right now..and like a lot of fans have already said..the tune added so much to that final scene with Lois & Clark....

It sure would have been cool..to see them sitting together...not saying anything... and just looking at each other...nervously waiting for the other...to say outloud.... what they were really thinking...that night they almost kissed.......alas.. the producers of SV....like to torture us Clois boosters and there going to make us wait...for what we all hope & want to see happen between CK & LL!

The thing I noticed...LL & CK were shown seperated...and surrounded by couples..they were the only two people by themselves....anyway... the song was really poignant & a beautiful tune to close out a terrific episode!

They fit very well too, which isn't always the case.

My thanks, too! I suspected that, exactly like Vast in Bride, that I would like the lyrics; Smallville seems to have a dab hand at setting music to the scene sometimes.

I took the ending scene as partially another little scene showing us a taste of future Clark, always late and with a lame excuse. They already did it once with Lois phoning him while he was feeding Shelby, not that he was admitting that that was what he was doing.

I agree that those two scenes were just about perfect with the music. It should be noted that they are also the two most powerful Clois scenes they have had probably ever in the show. While I think they are doing a great job capturing the mood with the music, I hope it will be a little more upbeat in the future.

Dreamer was an excellent choice of song as mentioned, the lyrics actually work with the scene which is not always the case.

Its a 'grown up / adult' song is all I could think as it played during the Clois scene. Beautifully done!

While I think they are doing a great job capturing the mood with the music, I hope it will be a little more upbeat in the future.

I don't mind upbeat music if the scenes are upbeat, but I think we are going to get some prettier soft songs as Clois progresses, which is alright too. Mostly I don't like heavily angsty type of songs.

I guess 'Dreamer' might have been a bit angsty but the way it was performed it was also very gentle. I liked it a lot. And unlike some songs on here the lyrics were almost a perfect match to the mood of the scene and the thoughts of Clark and Lois both.

And I have you all beat because I've watched that scene over a hundred times now and I'm listening to the song on a loop as we speak. :p I'll probably burn out by tomorrow but for now it is great! :D

I can't help but think that this part of the song

And when I'm falling on my knees,
You'll take my hand in yours.
What will be, will be.

Could be a foreshadowing of a scene in the finale, maybe. ;)

These parts of the song were very apt

Are you still in love with me?
Or someone else?

For the Clana drama that just went down.

But don't you worry,
This will pass.
It's only cause my mind's been spinning
No control, I've lost my head.
All of this is just beginning.

And for the near future. This impasse will not last forever.

.

I was thinking this too; I tend to analyze things a lot, and as I was analyzing it I was thinking it might be some foreshadowing too. And that's exactly what I thought, for one of them (I'm thinking Clark in this case since Lois is the Dreamer?) will be falling on his knees, or be in some kind of pickle, and the other will help each other out :D

Now, you mention both songs, it hits me. I first thought its lyrics are supposed to be the POV of the characters in each scene but I realized it was probably a message from TPTB towards viewers...

- Bride: ‘Don’t take your love away from me’………..but unfortunately it took my love away from the show soon after this episode. (namely, Power-arc wreck)

- Infamous: ‘Dreamer’………… subtle but severe message to Clois fans that they're dreamers and better be “careful what you wish for”.

But that’s just my two euros.

Well the Vast song wasn't just Clois, I mean it spanned into Chloe/Doomsday as well.

I know that, but then the song kept playing into the Chloe/Doomsday scene in the arctic.
Not that it diminished the song or anything, but that song was more dramatic.

While 'Dreamer' was all Clois, there was no other scene using that music and I think instead of dramatic that song was prettier and more gentle than the 'Vast' song. I think that fits the development of the relationship though.

I mean both scenes were sad, but in different ways. A whole ton of bad s**t went down at the end of "Bride" while in the last "Infamous" scene was sad because both Clark and Lois were hurting because of the complexity of the beginning of their relationship. So I think it was good that 'Dreamer' was a more personal song, because the moment was more personal. Even though there were other people on the street and at the cafe, I barely noticed them because with the set up of the scene and the lighting it very much gave the feeling that Lois and Clark were the only ones there. The tone of the music was prettier and lighter, because I think it wasn't all doom and gloom. You know what I mean?

Last song and scene were incredible!

It was perfect. And if this is what they nay-ser's categorize as angst, I say "bring it". There was such a perfect meeting of story, audience waiting (To see what Lois would do after Bride), actors, and directors (Clark appearing as shadowy anger from behind Lois), song-picker's (lol).

Inteligent angst at it's best (At the very least). And nobody can say that level of meeting of the mind's and talent was anything less than art.
