Ok, so what exactly did Sylar learn from his dad? He bonded a bit or was it just a show to learn more about his father?

Then he leaves him to die but doesn't actually watch him die..... and Sylar's cold remarks towards his dad - does this mean all his humanity is gone?

Sylar wants his father to suffer, that's worse than killing him. Hes truly evil.

Sylar learned that he is exactly like his dad, but unlike his dad he will live forever. That is what I took from it. And Sylar saying "your small game" before he walked out pretty much confirmed it.

No idea what he is going to do next.

I can't imagine wut it'd end up be like if Daddy took his healing ability, he'll be more power hunger than Lionel!!

He would have been pretty powerful if he got Sylar Brain. I mean he dose'nt really know how his own abillity work. Peter dad seem to know more about Sylar power then Sylar did. He showed him how he could get Elle abillity without killing her. Sylar dad may have figured that out. no telling what would happen if figured how the abillity really work.

Since Sylar knows how to get abilities without killing I wonder if he stole any of daddy's abilities. We've seen Sylar absorb before but he hasn't been doing it lately because he likes being 'hands on' so I wonder if he'll start using the absorb power again?

Ohhh yeah good point Ginx. He has used empathy to absorb powers..AKA Elle's power.

Nothing was learned really. Sylar just learned that his father is just like him. The other stuff is punishment for abandoning him...he basically got his come-up-ens..and dreadfully we had to sit through it. Wasn't exciting at all after a while you figured where the stroy was going and by that time you were just waiting for it to be over already. Could be just me though.

Yeah! What up with that? Did Sylar turn into a big o'l softy?

You think killing his dad is worse then letting his father suffer in pain? I think suffering is worse. Sylar won't let him off he hook. Killing him means his suffering will end. Sylar doesn't roll like that lol

but if he is going to die anyways then gruesome seems to be the best option. daddy will proly off himself in the middle of the night smoking with his oxygen on...i'm just sayin

I see your point. Either way would be bad in all actuality

What power did Daddy have that Sylar don't?

the weird whistling thing that wasn't explained.

I think it messed up Sylar's inner ear and incompasontated him for a short time. Samson should have hurried and cut his head open and took his power.+

I thought this whistling was pretty much the superhero version of those fairy tale lullaby songs that put people to sleep.

its actually a petrifying whistle

when he whistles, the subject should be incompacitated and unable to move, just like the rabbit, hence why hes a taxodermist

hence why he was so surprised when sylar started moving :P

I don't remember him whistling at the rabbit.

I think a good compromise would be if Sylar took those arrows and left his father stuck to the ceiling with them.

CompanyMan

Nope. That would have killed him too soon and Sylar wants him to suffer as much as possible.

I expected a little more from today episode with Sylar + father scene. It was great though. Just hoping to see Samson (John glover) be more similar to Sylar. Samson totally underestimated cellular regeneration and that's not usual to not think the outcome like Sylar usually does with his power (to understand the picture and then do something/ like what he said to luke and Peter, which is why he's able to get out of tough situations) Samson should of known hitting Sylar in the head was the way to go especially comming from someone who also takes powers from people's head/brain. I was hoping to see something along that line if he wanted to take Sylar cellular regeneration or perhaps see a new form of "Sylar ability" like being able to absorb people power through empathy like Sylar once did. Pretty messed up that after all this time his power didn't evolve especially when he even stated he got tired of killing and whatnot.

I really hope John Glover comes back. I actually like how Sylar left him alone and not kill him, that's how his character should be when he knows they can't harm him. I hope the writers would show John glover going after a cheerleader in California haha it's his only way to get cellular regeneration based on what he heard from Sylar. If sylar is able to find people so many times( finding where Claire in california without the help of Molly), then Samson Gray can do it too!

It was sort of like what Matt did to his Father.

It was great and all, but I didn't like how pathetic Samson Gray truly was... even if it was what they were trying to portray him as, it just seems unfitting for him to be Sylar's father, especially when he's begging Sylar to give him his power 'because it wouldn't even kill you'.

i feel like that boy that sylar was with will come to his grandpas house, and find him suffering, and then wanna escape with Glover and find Claire to get the immortal power.

Would have been awkard if he got the healing abillity 30 years ago from Adam. Just imagine Sylar going to his dad house and his dad looks just as young as him.

Since Sylar's litte stint with Elle...I haven't really thought of him as evil anymore, but rather just a rogue/renegade (rebel?). He seems to just be searching for answers; who he is, where he came from, why he is the way he is. The "hunter" comes across as more evil than Sylar to me, and my reactions when I watch Sylar are mostly "that's awesome" and when i watch the hunter it's "you suck, and need to die".

Personally, I hope that Samson seeks out Claire and that Sylar ultimately ends up saving Claire, sort of forming the bond/compassion that he seems to ultimately be searching for. I think back to how Sylar grew up with fake parents, then was misled by Elle/HRG, then was used by Angela, and now is being hunted by the hunter. All the guy wants to do is live and is frankly tired is being messed with. I don't blame him.

I'm pretty sure that Samson will come back at some point. I mean, a guy like John Glover, you have to use his acting skills more than that!
To answer, yes...I did enjoy the Sylar/Samson interaction.

It's not just you; I thought pretty much the same thing. John Glover is great at keeping you guessing! I still can't tell if Lionel was supposed to be a good guy or a bad guy when he died on Smallville.

I agree that bald guy 100 times more evil then Sylar. I'll laugh if Sylar torment him.

I very much enjoyed it this episode. Because.. Sylar has had daddy issues, that fact is only too obvious.. but how he handled the whole situation was great, and made me very proud of him. at first he was a little lost puppy like then he took action and kicked ass like he always does, and didnt let his father issues get in the way. at least he has closure now as well.. mommy and daddy are dead. thats that.

I love how nothing can keep Sylar under its spell! So great!
