I really enjoyed this episode. I'm not gonna give it a 10 like 316 or LADOJB, but it was a good episode. It really reminded me of Season 1, how it was about characters and their interactions and trying to survive, and had little to do with the sci-fi style of the show. I loved Sawyer. I'm not a big Sawyer lover or hater, but he really impressed me in this episode. I LOVE Sawyer and Juliet. I just hope that Sawyer doesn't leave her for Kate because that would just kill everything they did with the two of them in that episode. I also liked how they left the door open for further flashbacks to show how Sawyer and co. got involved in Dharma.

Couldn't agree more.
I loved the episode except the last scene. I'm a little tired of love triangles (or squares). They look happy together, and Jack/Kate have been together off the island too. Leave'em like that.

i agree with the love triangles. im hoping that sawyer may still have feelings for kate but moves on and stays with juliet. dont want it to be like smallville where lana leaves its over and gets with lois and then lana returns and clark forgets about lois. lol.

I agree, this episode reminded me of the earlier seasons of Lost. It was just nice to see the old gang back together on the island. Also I like that they are stuck in 70's Dharma era because I think this was one of the most interesting times and there is still more to find out about it.
I still want to know the origins of the island like how it started, or who were the 1st people to find it. And I really want to know about that huge statue.
I think Sawyer and Kate will get back together.
Overall good episode.

I loved this episode and the ending.
Also, I DO NOT want Sawyer and Juliet together. Yea, it looks sweet and comfortable. But, his heart belongs to Kate. Will always ship Skate! :)
Now we wait a couple weeks? whyyyyyyyy.

I think Sawyer and Kate will get back together.
But when have they been together? I remember Kate sleeping with Sawyer while pinning for Jack. It was awful how she played the field and if I was in Sawyer’s place I would feel used and would be very pissed off. Kate deserves to suffer a little bit.

Lol yeah, If you think about it Kate is a little bit like the Lana version of Lost. Both were great in the earlier seasons, my favourite females on their respective shows, but then we reached a point where I can’t see what they (Clark/Sawyer) see in them anymore, besides her beauty. But they (Clark/Sawyer) still have feelings for them (Lana/Kate) despite they have or could have two women (Lois/Juliet) who are MUCH more interesting characters right now. They (Clark/Sawyer) seem to be moving on and happy, only they (Lana/Kate) come back to ruin everything.
That said, I also think that Season 5 Kate is much better than Season 7 Lana.

ya i think jack and kate pretty much are done with their involvement with stuff which could mean they could be killed off at any time but im assuming it wont be till the last season. jack only has connections to his dad so when the reason his dad is on the online jack can be killed off. kate she doesnt have any real connections to anything going on. juliet is still important cause shes the only link they have to the others and sawyer is the new leader. im thinking at some point hurly could die unless his "luck" and seeing dead people will play an important role in the future.
one good thing about this show is they give everyone equal chance at being the hero and a leader and being part of the whole plotline of the series.

I doubt Jack, Kate, or Hurley would be killed off unless it was the final episode. Kate hasn't really served a real purpose since season 2, but she also has a very big fan base.

Wow, what a crazy episode. I really enjoyed it, even though I watched it with my parents and they were griping about how confusing the time travel element was (even though it's stopped now) and all the other plot inconsistencies (which I agree are a little annoying at times). Having them stuck back in the heyday of the Dharma Initiative is a clever plot device, and I'll be interested to see how long it lasts. Will they take us up to the time of the Purge? Which Others will we see? Certainly not the majority of the ones who ran into our castaways in previous seasons, other that the never-aging Richard Alpert, right? Eww, maybe they'll bring back that creepy Mikhail again. Or it'd be cool if they introduced us to Kelvin (and maybe even Radzinsky) from the Swan station before Desmond got there. There are so many stories they could tell. I'm still hoping for some more definite conclusion to the Ben/Annie story, so maybe this'll be the chance for us to learn more about their (or just her) fate.
And what happened to Daniel anyway? We saw him in the "Three Years Earlier" segment, but he didn't even warrant a mention in the "Three Years Later" parts! Eek! This doesn't look good for our somewhat friendly neighborhood quantum physicist (or whatever random kind of scientist he is), does it? But that scene with the little Charlotte waving at him nearly gave me the chills... Way spooky.
And WHOA... the well was there (but filled), along with the statue!!!! Is that the four-toed footed statue we saw a piece of back at... er... the end of Season 2, I believe? If so, YAY for continuity, even though it makes me even MORE confused than I already was. But that's really pretty normal for Lost, I guess.
The love square is actually rather interesting, because Jack likes both Juliet and Kate, Juliet likes both Jack and Sawyer, Kate likes both Sawyer and Jack, and Sawyer likes both Kate and Juliet -- mutual feelings all around. I hope Juliet just doesn't end up getting the short end of the stick and both the boys start chasing Kate all over again.... I like Juliet, and don't want her to end up alone.
How are they going to pull in those other new castaways now, anyway? How will they explain all of them to the Dharma Initiative? We know they'll have to run into them eventually. Somebody I've talked to about the show has suggested that perhaps they'll end up joining the Others, and becoming the Others we've seen in "the present" (actually past seasons when the first castaways originally encountered them).
I can't wait to see what happens next with this show -- it never ceases to keep me guessing.
