Literally lol.... it feels like they try to push Claire into center spotlight every episode and to me that character's part has been played out. Done. Spent. Nothing left to grow - either because there is just not a good story for the character or for some other reason. I feel like the character should no longer be a series regular but just someone you see from time to time. Then maybe revisit the character at a later time.

There comes a time when there has to be more to the character than just them being cute......

i love claire and think she defently has room to grow. why i say that is becuase every one in the world does have room to grow. Especially young people. people in high school always change. Like you graduate from high school and twenty years past and you go to your high school reunion people have changed and grown to another person. So, if any charecter has room to grow is claire since she is the youngest. She has a stoy to tell and heroes should tell it. Also you say she had a lot of screen time but no one recognized she had no screen time last episdoe. NONE AT ALL.

About wut haydenclaireheroes said about "she defently has room to grow"
Cross out that "has room" and put "needs"
She needs to GROW

I meant screen time as in the whole season. I do not feel the character has anywhere to grow of interest. The reason being is that after S1 she seemed so much more mature and there was room to grow and explore. But they didn't do that - they digressed the character to being a cheerleader and making a lot of the same mistakes she learned already from S1. This season to me is much of the same of forcing that character to be central to the main plot when she should just go to school and we revisit her later.

Sure there is lots to grow into for teenagers in general, I'm saying that the writers aren't developing her character. And whenever they have a great opp to expand or build on the character they overdo it and it's hard to accept or believe.

i think she is going to grow becuase look what she is doing she is saving everyone and everyone is coming to her to save them. Think about season 1 for one second. Think about Homecoming. She was running from sylar if claire had went back in time from this episode i think she would had done it differently life getting a tazor or gun and shotting him and mabe even saving jackie's life and being a hero. In season 1 in that episode she wanted to be normal nothing more and defently not a hero. like the train car she ran away not being a hero. Also think what she had said tonight to her mom or just this whole episode. She liked having a power she would never trade her life for a normal one because she could not picture it. In season 1 she would trade it in a second now she can not picture gettig hurt and feeling it or not healing. That is how she grew it may of took 3 years but she still grew and like i said she defently has more room to grow. YOu will see.

But were you ever a teenager i am one now and i know that i make many of the same mistakes and when do we ever learn. we never learn intill someone we really love tells us what we are doing wrong. like mabe if peter did it. It might take more of an effect.

For this ep I am torn.

On one hand, Claire's "bit" (and by bit I mean large chunk) of this ep did alow for the instant classic Mr. Muggles scene AND we got to see her adoptive mother in a very positive light again and that's all good and great.....

But.....

On the whole? Why the hell waste the time on all that when the more interesting storyline is with the whole Peter/Parkman/HRG/Nathan and Co., stuff. During the ep I kept going, "Claire?! Again? Really?! WFT!" Ick.That's just my opinion though. I understand some peeps actually do like Claire and her storyline so we'll just have to agree to disagree.

i feel like claire is the only one of all the heroes that finally frees everyone and unites them all. She is the only one now making her own decisions, and in the end, she will do something huge

Claire's annoying in the fact that there are more interesting things going on in this show, and to spend one second on her just annoys me.

There's Hiro, Peter, Mohinder and several others that could use the time. Like I would like to know if Hiro and Peter are ever going to get their powers back. To me that's the most important thing right now. Claire barely ever uses her power anymore. So why spend time on her, and her boring mission to save fishboy.

So I definitely, at this point, think it would've been better to end Claire's story back in season one.

So Claire does get a bit whiny and she does a lot of stupid things... but I'm a parent to a teenager - and let me tell you - Claire is often smarter then the average 17 year old. So many teenagers (no offense to any on this board, who are surely the exception) just don't have a lick of sense and are totally ruled by selfishness and swinging emotions. So in that way Claire seems about right for a 17 year old.

On the other hand.... Claire has had a lot of experiences that should have smartened her up by now. So I guess I'm of two minds about her.

BTW...who thought the kissing at the bottom of the pool was cheesy?

Gosh Claire, he doesn't even have a cool power! He's going to be toast any day now. Bah! Breathing underwater? You might as well write R.I.P on his forehead with sidewalk chalk.

OMG they need to cap the limit of showing claire this season man. She was taking up atleast 50% of the episode when it should be no more than 20. I was more interested in Sylar memories as a kid than that love love relationship- getaway(that relationship isn't going to last and show again so why even show it?) The viewers would of got a better kick seeing more scenes of Peter/Matt situation or even more about Sylar situation. WOW I was right on sylar dad having TK or perhaps more powers, be interesting to see him having the same power as Sylar.

what the hell was she thinking in this ep using sex as an excuse for the boy being in her room, hasnt the girl realized by now her body repairs itself and as such she would become a virgin again after each time having sex

silly silly girl no wonder sandra wasnt fooled

yeah but lucky lucky guy.:D

either way i think there's something big being planned out with claire and why rebel is suddenly asking her to help people. he's helping matt and peter and of course hiro and ando and of all things we've seen rebel making sure claire helps certain people even if they are the enemy as we've seen in this last episode. so claire's side of the story should eventually tie in to the other stories going around. at least that's what was said in an interview. certain characters were going to be featured on certain episodes and other characters in other episodes instead of trying to keep them all in one tight packed show. at the end all their seperate storylines are going to come together. this means, hiro's story, peter and matt's story, sylar's story, claire's story and whoever else i left out..all their stories will join up. the one thing i don't want to see is another flat ending like at the end of season 1.

I agree

I really hate this character more than anybody else on the show and I don't think she can be reedemed in my eyes. Even if she could it would take too long. She should atleast have her screen time extremely cut down for awhile.

oh god oh god oh god claire is freaky annoying. get her off the show. its like they are imposing a storyline on her instead of one naturally evolving. Kill her off or imprison her or something just get her out of our faces

I would have liked it more if they were just doing it for air and stayed with it just being 'I need air' but then they started to kiss - which defeats the purpose of getting air. Unless he was just trying to distract her so she wouldn't think about being under water?

I know that there have been studies that show some people can breath a little under water if they are relaxed and not scared.

I love Claire, she's one of the inspiring characters who is outraged at what's going on and wants to help. I think she's a real hero.

I kinda feel that they are setting the story up so it isn't always "Save the Cheerleader," but now the cheerleader saving the world. I just wish it was done differently. =/

I kinda have mixed feelings about Clare, on the one hand i like her character and think she has room to grow and evolve. However i agree she's grown to be just a wee bit annoying. It was fun back when she wanted to stop the badguys because she was indestructable but now she just like Peter running off trying to be a hero.
