Read an interview on josh and chris, and they had some interesting things to say on the season finale and their plans for season 3.

I don't want to break any linking rules, so I'll tell you what to type into Google to find it

type "tvovermind chuck game changing" w/o the quotes

should be first link, so you can click "I'm Feeling Lucky" instead of search

I'm feeling more and more hopeful that Chuck will be renewed for a 3rd season. It is really the most entertaining show on TV for me right now and I would be sad if it ended.

There is just nothing like Chuck.

The tvovermind site is an okay site to link, but I should remind regarding the rules that trying to get around the linking rules is just as bad as actually posting the links. Please don't be sneaky like that anymore or your K-Site account could be banned. Thanks.

I hope there is a third season. Chuck is just an awesome show that needs to have at least 3-5 seasons.

Looking at ratings...Chuck is doing better than law and order, my name is earl (both safe bets to be renewed) and some weeks have beaten heroes and 30 rock especially after the holiday break. Heroes looks like it will be back and it seems that Chuck and heroes on mondays will continue. Especially in light of other shows failing this year at NBC (knight rider, kath and kim, crusoe) and little news of new shows being produced. In light of the overall diminished viewership at NBC Chuck's ratings don't seem too bad. I think it will be back. If not maybe they could move chuck (warner bros) over to the CW (warner bros) maybe a lead in to smallville :). That would make my thursday right there.;)

if NBC was alot better Chuck would likely be cancelled by now.... 6 or 7 million viewers is still decent for them.

good news, i hope it gets renewed.

agreed, truth ne told though, is its because it is on NBC that it does soo poorly in ratings, And I'm not the only 1 to think this, but if it were on Fox, ratings would be sooo much better, because more people watch Fox, NBC and the CW are almost pathetic during primetime! (well definately the CW, lol sorry guys, love Smallville though!)

i have a question. Let's say that NBC decides not to renew CHUCK for a third season. COuld the producers not pitch the idea to some other television station (like FOX or somthing) and have them air it if its approved? or is CHUCK forever licensed to NBC?

This Question comes up alot while many shows have the option of trying to go to another network Most networks wont touch them.
From the networks point of veiw they are looking for the next CSI or American Idol something thats going to drawl In 15 to 20 milion viewers every showing So instead of playing it safe with taking on a show thats only marginaly sucessful rating wise they would rather roll the dice on trying to get the next best thing

some speculate that if NBC does not pick it up, the CW would since Warner Brothers own it.

If the CW picked it up, thatd be good for them, because it would be one of their best shows on then! (ratings wise)

a certain TV ratings blog posted on Sunday that they heard from a reliable insider that Chuck is a good bet to return! This insider also said that the campaigns to save Chuck by the fans and critics is really having an effect on the suits at NBC

So . . . on the NBC page for Chuck . . . they have a banner saying that if you love chuck to show your support by watching the finale tonight

They refer to it as the season finale . . . not series finale

And it said "To Be Continued . . ." at the end of the show

Are these all ways for NBC to tell us that Chuck will be back for season 3? We will know by May 5th!

i hope there's another season. but as of now, inside sources are saying NBC is not sure about it. you would think after last night episode they would bring it back. but it's like they're not really sure about it. most online entertainment sights have threads with "chuck, possibly the last episode ever" or something along those lines. when i've read those threads, practically everyone is praising last night's episode. i'm just hoping nbc is reading these places and realizing that people love chuck.

I looked long and hard to see if this was on the list of forbidden sites and it didn't seem to be, so I hope this link is okay.

Anyway, came across this tonight:

http://tvbythenumbers.com/category/renewcancel-index

It apparently updates numbers weekly on likely renewed/cancelled shows. Chuck is currently listed as in a list with three others of "in danger, but we predict 3 of 4 to return."

Anyway, might be worth keeping an eye on it. And, er...if the link really isn't allowed, then I'm sorry!

Yeesh...a few shows I watch are on the "in danger" list. :(

Rumors are flying that NBC has narrowed it down to Chuck and Medium . . . with one show getting the boot . . . but they also said that if there is a way for NBC to keep Chuck, they're going to, because NBC, the critics, and the fans all really like the show . . .

keep your fingers crossed for Tues!

in other news . . . Southland ratings have been diving . . . fast, it lost another 14% this past week in the 18-49 demo, and even in an easy timeslot, it's ratings are now dropping well below Chuck . . . so if Southland takes a fall, that would be one more hour, possibly on an easy night for Chuck to move, and do much better

Word is out now that NBC won't be making an announcement about Chuck tomorrow during their "up fronts" . . . so we'll have to wait a bit longer

EDIT: now there is a new report saying that sources have revealed that NBC will be announcing the renewal of Chuck tomorrow!!

I really hope the second report is correct!!

oh wow...."Life" has been cancelled and it seems that if Chuck returns it won't be on mondays anymore. another show has been announced as joining heroes and the jay leno show on monday. it looks like jay leno's new show is screwing up nbc's line of shows.

the fates of medium, chuck, my name is earl, and law and order will be decided on may 19 or sometime before. Peacock co-chairman Ben Silverman said If Chuck is renewed, it probably won't be returning to Mondays. Silverman said Heroes would be paired with "a new show" on the night (my guess: Parenthood). NBC is prepared to move forward with Law & Order: SVU with or without Chris Meloni and Mariska Hargitay. "There's an offer on the table," said co-chair Marc Graboff, cryptically.

nbc greenlights DAY ONE, SNL THURSDAYS, PARENTHOOD, COMMUNITY, MERCY, TRAUMA, and 100 QUESTIONS.

returning are HEROES, PARKS AND RECREATION, SOUTHLAND.

there had been an early report from the hollywood deadline site that CHUCK was picked up but it ended up being false.

reports now indicate that there was another WB show pilot that NBC didn't like, but because they're not picking it up, they have to pay $2 million to the WB, so they're now trying to work out a deal where they'll renew Chuck, and avoid paying that fine . . . so it seems that NBC does really wanna bring back Chuck, and probably will, it's just a matter of finalizing stuff with the WB

. . . and the fact that it'll be on a different night is good! It'll get much better ratings, say if it were on Thursdays perhaps

Well a different night is ok but please not Thurs. If it was at 8:00 (est)It would fracture the ratings with Smallville and Bones as I believe all 3 of these shows share some of the same fan base

I read somewhere that we'll know for sure whether Chuck has been renewed or not by May 19th. Let's cross our fingers and pray it's good news. If NBC decides to cancel Chuck, it'd be their biggest mistake. It is without a doubt, one of the best shows these past few years and it definitely can and HAS to go on for a third season.

Hopefully it all works out. We still have another week before we hear about the show's fate. Unless they delay it further after that.
