Yes, that's the song and the scene. The line can be heard fairly clearly as Chloe sits on the porch contemplating opening Ollie's gift - just before Ollie comes out onto the porch.

The audio on my recording of Escape isn't very good - keeps skipping, so that's probably why I missed it. I was pretty sure it wasn't one of the other two.

Lyric: "What will be, we'll be"

skully
04-27-2010, 01:51 AM
I believe that's from Uh Huh Her's "Dreamer" playing in the Street Cafe scene at the very end of Infamous when Clark stood Lois up.

Lyric: "Can you find the pieces that I can rearrange"

MrsK
04-27-2010, 06:50 AM
That is from "Renegade Fighter" by ZED. It is heard in Hothead at the beginning of the episode during the football game in the rain.

Lyric: "Can't move on but I can't go home"

skully
04-27-2010, 09:36 PM
Might need a hint, MrsK. :)

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod impaled Lana's hand at the mansion
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. Lex found the key to the orb in the mansion mantle piece
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

MrsK
04-29-2010, 07:12 PM
Well, I am embarrassed to admit that I have completely forgotten where I found this lyric! :o I will find it again, but until I do, how about we just switch to a different line, and I'll use that one some other time...

Lyric: "All the madness was never familiar"

skully
04-29-2010, 07:56 PM
Hehehe, that's pretty funny, but not surprising given your recent fleeting visits, MrsK. :D

I think your replacement lyric is from "All the Stars" by Eastmountainsouth playing in the Talon scene in Exile where Chloe tells Lana that Clark ran away by his own choice and she needs to move on, but Lana reckons that he's just waiting for the right person to find him and bring him home.

Lyric: "beneath the stains of time"

MrsK
04-29-2010, 09:21 PM
True. Real life, coupled with this business of having to share my laptop is definitely getting in the way of time on K-site! :(

Your line is from "Hurt" by Johnny Cash, which is played at the very end of Shattered, when Lionel is watching Lex in a straight jacket at Belle Reve and Clark is watching Lana in the hospital.

Lyric: "I'll be kicking an screaming 'til the end of my life"

skully
04-30-2010, 10:28 PM
I'll just cut and paste an earlier post. :)

Might need a hint, MrsK.

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod impaled Lana's hand at the mansion
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. Lex found the key to the orb in the mansion mantle piece
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

MrsK
05-02-2010, 02:52 PM
This one I remember! :)

After the tornadoes; before the storm cellar blew up.

One main is involved in the scene initially, then another comes in.
First main is former, multi-season female, alive, was a guest, Clark's age.
Second main is current, multi-season female, never a guest, Clark's age.

Scene is indoors at a common location in Smallville.

skully
05-02-2010, 03:18 PM
OK, so it's in S2 in a scene in Smallville featuring Lana then Chloe.

Is it at the Talon? Or the Torch?

MrsK
05-02-2010, 03:46 PM
It's at the Talon

skully
05-02-2010, 03:55 PM
OK, will research this one a little later.

MrsK
05-02-2010, 04:07 PM
Fair enough. :)

skully
05-03-2010, 03:38 AM
OK, first guess. Is it from Amy Drumm's Integrity playing at the Talon in Rush when Chloe comes in and invites Lana to go shopping then Lana tells Chloe she can't because she has a date with Clark, causing some awkwardness.

If not, is the song before or after this one in S2?

MrsK
05-03-2010, 05:37 AM
No, it is before that one.

skully
05-05-2010, 12:02 AM
Maybe Cactus Groove by Crazy Richie playing at the Talon in Nocturne when Chloe showed up with information that suggested Lionel was connected with Byron Moore's condition. Doesn't really fit because Clark was also in that scene as well.

MrsK
05-05-2010, 09:10 AM
No, that's not it, either

skully
05-05-2010, 02:08 PM
Hmm. So definitely only Lana and Chloe as mains in the scene, in the first half of S2?

Any guests? Recurring, M/F, powers, alive, Clark's age. Henry Small wasn't in the scene was he?

Day or night?

Do we see this scene before or after Rachael Dunleavy makes a visit to Smallville?

MrsK
05-06-2010, 06:49 AM
2 guests are there. One female, recurring in >5 episodes, no powers, alive , quite a bit older than Clark

The other was single-episode, male, no powers, probably alive (we haven't heard that he died), also quite a bit older than Clark.

Henry Small was not in the scene.

Day

Before Rachel Dunleavy appears.

Lordy, I thought I'd checked the lyrics to this one. It wasn't even Google-proof.

Your line is from Stephanie Simon's Goodbye, playing in the scene at the Talon in Duplicity where Lana tells Chloe that she's not comfortable with Nell's new boyfriend Dean ("He's always around and they're in this lovey-dovey daze all the time"), then Chloe says Lana can stay at her place if she needs to.

Lyric: "I saw you walking down the street just the other day"

MrsK
05-07-2010, 01:14 PM
:) I wondered why this one was proving to be so difficult! You've got it now, though.
I have been doing a thorough lyrics search trying to find the one I forgot last week - I did finally find it in the 4th-to-last episode out of the 166 (30 episodes have only score music) I checked - figures! :p Anyway, I now have some good lines for this thread!

----- Added 5 Minutes later -----

Lyric: "I saw you walking down the street just the other day"

Is that from U.G.L.Y - which is heard in Redux when the kids are rehearsing for Spirit Week at the Talon?

If so, I'll go back to the line I posted before: "Can't move on... but I can't go home"

skully
05-07-2010, 02:43 PM
Is it from Esthero's "I Drive Alone" playing in Onyx when Lana comes into the Talon Apartment to find Evil Lex has let himself in, he then forces a kiss on her, she slaps him and he then says he's closing the Talon?

MrsK
05-07-2010, 02:47 PM
yes, that's it. :)

skully
05-07-2010, 02:48 PM
OK, another a little later. Got some Saturday morning chores to do before the new epi comes on. :)

skully
05-08-2010, 05:54 PM
Lyric: "Before the moon sails away"

MrsK
05-08-2010, 10:36 PM
Hm. May need some help on this one.

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod impaled Lana's hand at the mansion
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. Lex found the key to the orb in the mansion mantle piece
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

skully
05-08-2010, 10:53 PM
It is heard after Lana goes to Paris but before she crashes in the helicopter.

The scene involves 2 mains - one current, MS, M, never guest, alive, Clark's age, and the other former, MS, M, was a guest, alive, a bit older than Clark.

The scene is in Smallville (I'm pretty sure) at a single epi location.

MrsK
05-08-2010, 11:30 PM
S4; Clark and Lex in the scene... That does narrow it down quite a bit.

Is it from "Far Away" by Dara Schindler? (I did find that on youtube, but I haven't listened to more than the very beginning so I have no idea of the lyrics... definitely not my favorite type of music!) Anyway, it is the song that was playing when Clark goes to the house where Lex has hidden Chloe for the last few months.

skully
05-08-2010, 11:53 PM
That's the one, MrsK. :)

MrsK
05-09-2010, 09:08 AM
All right. How about:

Lyric: "She's showin' us her tattoos and bringin' us banana bread"

skully
05-10-2010, 02:51 AM
Looks to be Google-proof, so our new set of standard Qs. :)

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod impaled Lana's hand at the mansion
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. Lex found the key to the orb in the mansion mantle piece
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

MrsK
05-10-2010, 05:46 AM
After the tornadoes and before the storm cellar blew up.

2 mains are there:
Current male, multi-season, never a guest, alive, Clark's age
Former female, multi-season, was a guest, alive, Clark's age

Indoors, not a common location, near Smallville

skully
05-10-2010, 02:21 PM
So a scene with Clark and Lana in S2.

Is your lyric from "Tattoos" (which makes sense from your lyric) by Jackpot playing at the bar in Red when Clark takes down the the two guys and burns the barman's baseball bat?

MrsK
05-10-2010, 03:32 PM
Yes it is. :) You can listen to it here if you're interested: http://positionmusic.com/results.php?dev=true&search=jackpot (http://positionmusic.com/results.php?dev=true&search=jackpot)

05-10-2010, 03:48 PM
Interesting site. Thanks for the tip. Another soon. :)

MrsK
05-10-2010, 03:52 PM
A few of the more obscure artists heard on Smallville can be found there. I stumbled across it the other day. :)

skully
05-11-2010, 03:54 AM
Lyric: "Take this turn then he'll run"

MrsK
05-11-2010, 06:19 AM
I believe that is from "I Have Seen" by Zero 7, which is playing at the mansion when Lex and Victoria are discussing their fathers in Rogue.

Lyric: "It's as clear as crystal"

skully
05-12-2010, 03:23 PM
That's from 24 by JEM playing in the opening scene of Blank at the Talon when Kevin Grady repo's a small piece of Lois' memory.

Lyric: "It's hard to erase what you become"

MrsK
05-12-2010, 05:58 PM
That is from "On the down" by Tim Cullen. It is playing in Forever when Clark is talking to Lois at the Talon - wondering if she knows where Chloe is.

----- Added 1 Minutes later -----

Lyric: "Now you bring forth your strong reasons"

skully
05-13-2010, 04:32 AM
I believe that is from Tim Cullen's "Good To Know" playing at the Talon in Spirit when Dawn confronts Billy about his flirting with other girls and he breaks it off.

Lyric: "I don't know if I can make it better"

MrsK
05-13-2010, 06:58 AM
That is from "Undone" by Lifehouse. It is one of the songs they play at the Prom in Spirit. This one can be heard when Clark is trying to explain to Lois what had happened.

Lyric: "It's easier to believe in a path that's predicted."

skully
05-14-2010, 05:56 AM
OK, this one seems to one of the songs you've found that is Google-proof. So, is the scene we hear it in:

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod impaled Lana's hand at the mansion
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. Lex found the key to the orb in the mansion mantle piece
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

MrsK
05-14-2010, 06:58 AM
I mistyped the line. It should be "It's easier to believe in a path that's predestined." That might help...:o

It is from an episode after the tornadoes and before the storm cellar blew up.
Scene is in Smallville at a common location, and Clark, Chloe, Lana, and Pete are there.

skully
05-14-2010, 08:01 AM
Getting very late. Will check tomorrow. :)

skully
05-16-2010, 04:25 AM
OK, I think your lyric might be from Not that Simple by Jamestowne, playing at the Talon in Fever when Clark brings the fundraiser raffle prizes in Martha's absence. He explains his Mom is in the hospital and then bites Chloe's head off when she gets too inquisitive.

Lyric: "You'll fall asleep and I'll put a spell on you"

MrsK
05-16-2010, 09:08 AM
That is from "Strange and Beautiful" by Aqualung, which is heard in Exodus when Chloe and Lana are talking in Lana's room about Lex and Helen's wedding, and Lana admits that she is going with Clark - as friends.

----- Added 4 Minutes later -----

Okay - this one should be fairly obvious

Lyric: "Me comporto como un zombie que ha perdido la razon"

skully
05-17-2010, 03:40 AM
Well given the Spanish it is possibly Majia Negra by Patricio Castillo playing in Ollie's Mexican Bar scene in Echo. Although zombie is mentioned (translation "I behave like a zombie who has lost the reason") I don't think it's from Rabid.

Will see if I gets a heads up from MrsK. :)

MrsK
05-17-2010, 12:01 PM
Majia Negra is it. What have you got for us, skully?

skully
05-17-2010, 01:57 PM
OK, another a little later.

skully
05-17-2010, 07:50 PM
Lyric: "We'll hold hands and be friends"

MrsK
05-17-2010, 09:00 PM
Is it from "Wall in Your Heart" by Shelby Lynne?

skully
05-17-2010, 09:14 PM
It is. :)

MrsK
05-17-2010, 10:03 PM
Okay. Wasn't sure about that one.

Lyric: "So what's the matter here if I get a little rush from you?"

skully
05-17-2010, 10:07 PM
Google-proof? So:

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod roughly kisses Lana on the roof of LCHQ
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. The FoS collapses on Lex and Clark
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

MrsK
05-17-2010, 10:32 PM
Before the tornadoes
Mains: current, multi-season male, never a guest, alive, Clark's age; current multi-season female, never a guest, alive, Clark's age; former multi-season male, was a guest, alive, Clark's age
Scene is in Smallville, indoors at a common location

skully
05-17-2010, 10:36 PM
So an S1 scene featuring Clark, Chloe and Pete.

Is the song that the lyric is from heard at the Talon? The school? The Torch? The Kent farmhouse? The barn/loft?

Before or after Bob Rickman's death?

MrsK
05-17-2010, 10:39 PM
Torch
before Rickman's death

skully
05-18-2010, 04:10 AM
OK how about in the Torch scene in Hourglass where Chloe, Clark and Pete are investigating Harry Volk's killings and how he's tracking and killing descendants of jurors that convicted him

MrsK
05-18-2010, 12:52 PM
Yes, that is the correct scene.

skully
05-18-2010, 02:03 PM
OK, another later. :)

MrsK
05-18-2010, 10:12 PM
Wait - you have the scene, but what is the song?

skully
05-18-2010, 10:24 PM
Oops. Crush by Kevin Clay. :)

MrsK
05-18-2010, 10:28 PM
Yep. :)

skully
05-19-2010, 02:45 PM
Lyric: "I read bad poetry"

MrsK
05-19-2010, 09:17 PM
That is from "At My Most Beautiful" by REM. It's played in Slumber at the end of the episode when Lana comes to the barn and Clark tells her she'll always be the girl next door.

Lyric: "Angels with silver wings shouldn't know suffering"

skully
05-19-2010, 10:23 PM
Hehehe, didn't even have to think about it. That's from my favorite episode Arrival. It's from Depeche Mode's Precious playing during the epi's closing montage starting in Lana's room at SMC and finishing with Brainiac growing from the oil from the black ship. Classic, classic scene. :D

Lyric: "I see the world has folded in your heart "

MrsK
05-20-2010, 11:49 AM
That is a line from "Save Me" by Remy Zero. In addition to being heard in every episode (except the Pilot, I think) over the opening credits, it is heard in Tempest at the spring formal.

skully
05-20-2010, 03:06 PM
Hehehe, indeed MrsK. :)

MrsK
05-20-2010, 04:45 PM
Lyric: "And I can't guide you but I'm here till the spring"

skully
05-21-2010, 04:02 PM
I believe that is from Club 8's "Love in December" playing at the Beanery in Rogue when Jonathan meets and threatens Sam Phelan to stay away from Clark.

Lyric: "Past pier thirty nine"

MrsK
05-22-2010, 03:50 PM
Ah, a song I know! That is from Stereophonics' Have a Nice Day. It is heard in Hug when Rickman tries to talk to Lex at the Beanery.

Lyric: "Everything you are is everything you want"

skully
05-22-2010, 04:04 PM
That is from "Mind Full of Daggers" by Juliette and the Licks playing in the Talon scene in Fierce where Tyler and Tempest are talking about Carly being taken care of, Kara asks for help with her make up but they blow her off, then Kara finds Carly frozen in the flower shop window.

Lyric: "People live right now and right here.

MrsK
05-22-2010, 04:12 PM
That is from "I Want More: Part 2" by Faithless. It is the music heard on Shannon Bell's mp3 player at the opera and later at Corrinne's office in Bound.

How about: "I still remember every word that we said"

skully
05-23-2010, 02:50 AM
Nothing on the radar for this one. So:

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod roughly kisses Lana on the roof of LCHQ
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. The FoS collapses on Lex and Clark
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

MrsK
05-23-2010, 04:20 PM
Before the tornadoes
2 mains: Current, multi-season male, alive, never a guest, Clark's age
Former, multi-season female, was a guest, alive, Clark's age

Scene is in Smallville, not in a common location. Not indoors.

skully
05-24-2010, 04:48 AM
OK, an S1 scene with Clark and Lana and outdoors.

Day or night? In a field, a football ground, a road or street, a carpark, a forest, a rooftop?

Before or after Wade Mahaney's death?

MrsK
05-25-2010, 11:41 AM
Not exactly outdoors, either.

Night on a road/street (in a vehicle).

Before Wade's death.

skully
05-25-2010, 01:26 PM
Hmm, will have to research this one. Night road scene? Not coming immediately to mind. It's not Enrique Iglesias's Hero playing at the end of Craving (Clark and Lana were in the truck watching a Looney Tune as Lana's birthday present) - no lyric like that in that song.

MrsK
05-25-2010, 04:07 PM
No, that's not it.

skully
05-25-2010, 10:29 PM
No, I was thinking aloud. It was only night time vehicle scene with Clark and Lana I could think of off the top of my head prior to Wade Mahaney's death. Still thinking....

skully
05-26-2010, 12:19 AM
Ah, it must be "Every Word" (uh derrr :)) by Bosshouse in the scene in the limo in Cool when Clark and Lana were heading to the Radiohead concert that Lex had given Clark tickets for as inducement to ask Lana out. They saw the story about Jenna on the limo TV, Clark ordered the driver to stop and headed off to save Chloe from Sean.

MrsK
05-26-2010, 06:25 AM
I figured as much. :)

Yes, that's the one. If you are ever interested, BosshouseMusic.com will search by title or keyword and you can listen to their music...

skully
05-26-2010, 12:22 PM
Cheers MrsK, looks a useful site. :) Another soon.

skully
05-27-2010, 03:11 AM
Lyric: "But I continue learning"

MrsK
05-27-2010, 08:22 AM
One of my favorite SV songs - that is from "The Reason" by Hoobastank, and it is heard at the end of Delete when Lana shows Adam the Talon apartment and Clark and Chloe declare a truce at the Torch.

Lyric: "Look at your watch now"

skully
05-27-2010, 08:59 PM
I reckon that might be from "bad dance central" in the barn during Chloe's 18th Birthday Party in Spell. It's from Gwen Steffani's "What You Waiting For".

Lyric: "Hit ‘em ‘tween the eyes"

MrsK
05-28-2010, 06:49 AM
I believe that was from "Disappearing World" by David Gray. It is played in the final scene of Hidden when Clark and Chloe are in the barn and he tells her he has his powers back and that giving them up may have been a huge mistake.

Lyric: "The pictures you paint are of one dimension"

skully
05-28-2010, 04:18 PM
I think that's from Sammi Morelli's "Let Me Be the One" playing at the Talon early in Precipice when Lex told the recently assaulted Lana how he learned to fight and how it was about reclaiming control of your life.

Lyric: "Just blowing off steam"

MrsK
05-28-2010, 09:29 PM
That's from "Safe Enough to Wake Up" by the Ben Taylor Band, which is playing in Witness when they see Jennifer Small with her "old friend" lawyer

Lyric: "She always gets annoyed"

skully
05-30-2010, 01:45 AM
I believe that is from Split Habit's "Higher Mathematics" playing in the hall scene at SV High early in Spirit when Chloe is bagging the whole Prom King and Queen thing and Lana tells her she isn't going to Prom with Jason.

Lyric: "That I'm nothing on my own"

MrsK
05-31-2010, 08:43 AM
That would be from Coldplay's "The Message" which is playing at the end of Mortal when Clark and Lana are at her apartment

Lyric: "To warm my soul and ease my mind"

skully
06-01-2010, 04:35 AM
Quite a sad song. I think that's from Mindy Smith's "One More Moment" playing as Clark comes to see Lana off at Metropolis Airport (she's going to Paris) in Covenant but he sees she with Lex and drops the white rose and leaves just as Lana thinks she sees him.

Lyric: "Know how to work you're persuasion"

MrsK
06-01-2010, 07:54 AM

Lyric: "Know how to work you're persuasion"
I believe that is from "Someday" by Fastball - it's heard at the beginning of Truth when Clark and Chloe are at school talking about the teacher of the year interview

Lyric: "How long must I hold myself in contempt"

skully
06-01-2010, 02:22 PM

Lyric: "If we had a moment to ourselves"

MrsK
06-01-2010, 07:35 PM

Lyric: "My sound hittin' you hard from every direction"That's from The Roots' "Don't say nuthin' " playing early in Run in the scene where Bart barters with Hanison for cash for the gear he's stolen and then takes the money and the stuff at superspeed when not happy with Hanison's offer.

lyric: i wont give up

i think this ones trickyWill have to think about this one. Is this a full line or part of a line, like "I won't give up my music" or similar?

PS. Welcome to the thread blakexy. The way the game works is you solve the previous lyric and then put your own up. :)

heres one

lyric: i wont give up

i think this ones tricky

Is it possibly from "Calling All Angels" by Train? That is heard in Exile when Lana finds Clark in Metropolis.

Hehehe - that one is pretty obvious! Remy Zero - theme song for the opening credits, so heard in every episode but the Pilot - also at the dance in Tempest.

I believe it is skully's to post a lyric...

skully
06-02-2010, 01:13 PM
Lyric: "I'm all I'll ever be"

MrsK
06-02-2010, 03:25 PM
That is from "Try" by Nelly Furtado, which is playing at the Talon in Delete when Adam and Lana are talking about her relationship with Clark.

Lyric: "I'm sure you've heard it all before"

skully
06-02-2010, 11:52 PM
That is from Ryan Adam's version of Wonderwall (made famous by Oasis) playing at the very end of Velocity when Pete tries to make light of his high speed indiscretions and Clark remains angry with him and won't play hoops.

Lyric: "It's an Air Force One"

MrsK
06-03-2010, 10:33 AM
That's from "Fix Up, Look Sharp" by Dizzee Rascal, and it is playing when Clark first drives up to Dante's garage looking for Pete in Velocity.

Lyric:"Man, I got ten surrounding me"

skully
06-05-2010, 03:32 AM
That's from N.E.R.D.'s "Truth or Dare" playing in the Heat scene when Jonathan visits Desiree at the mansion pool to try to reason with her over Clark's charges and she pheromones him.

Lyric: "Outside the door of the candy store"

MrsK
06-05-2010, 02:32 PM
I think that is from "The Game of Love" by Santana and Michelle Branch, which is playing when Chloe and Lana are talking about Clark and Kyla at the Talon in Skinwalker.

Lyric: "This is what I thought so think me naive"

skully
06-16-2010, 02:31 AM
I believe that's from AFI's Prelude 12/21 playing in the final scene of Subterranean when the 33.1 scientists are checking out the strapped down Jed McNally and then Lex does his 33.1 walk with all the inmates clutching at him through the bars of their cells (probably the best scene of the epi :))

Lyric: "The way ya walkin' ya talkin' "

MrsK
06-16-2010, 10:32 AM
This one isn't clicking with me, and it appears to be google-proof.

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod roughly kisses Lana on the roof of LCHQ
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. The FoS collapses on Lex and Clark
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? At a common series location? Indoors?

skully
06-16-2010, 02:37 PM
After Lana's helicopter crash and before Lexod kissed Lana on the LCHQ roof.

There is one main involved in the scene while this song is playing. Current, MS, M, never guest, alive, Clark's age.

The scene is indoors in Metropolis at a one epi location.

MrsK
06-16-2010, 04:06 PM
So it is a S5 episode, and Clark is the only main there. Any guests, or is he alone?

skully
06-16-2010, 04:09 PM
There are numerous uncredited guests.

MrsK
06-16-2010, 04:09 PM
Guess: "I Got the Funk" by Nik Frost - playing in Fade when Clark arrives at Graham's party?

skully
06-16-2010, 04:11 PM
Nup.

MrsK
06-16-2010, 04:40 PM
"Work It" by Molly M - playing when Clark arrives at the Windgate Club?

skully
06-16-2010, 05:18 PM
Ooh, close, but no cigar. :)

Work it is actually playing when Lois is getting dressed in her sailor gear with Chloe watching on.

MrsK
06-16-2010, 08:42 PM
Okay. I always get those confused. It must be "How Do You Do It?" by Molly M.

skully
06-16-2010, 08:46 PM
That's the song that's playing as Clark walks uncomfortably in to the Windgate Club. :)

Your lyric.

I hope your anniversary dinner was nice. :)

MrsK
06-16-2010, 09:03 PM
It was very nice, thanks. :)

Lyric: "I drive a crummy car, a beat-up bike and an old guitar"

skully

Nothing on the radar for this one, MrsK.

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod roughly kisses Lana on the roof of LCHQ
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA

8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Any mains involved in the scene? Current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?

MrsK
06-18-2010, 05:46 PM
After Lana crashed in the LC helicopter; before Lexod roughly kisses Lana on the roof of LCHQ.

3 mains:
1 - current, multi-season male, never a guest, alive, Clark's age
2 - current, multi-season female, was a guest, alive, Clark's age
3 - current, multi-season female, was a guest, alive,a little older than Clark

Scene in Smallville, indoors at a common location

skully
06-18-2010, 06:03 PM
So in an S5 scene featuring Clark, Lois and ?? Is the 2nd main right (do you mean former, or never guest, or older than Clark?)?

Is it the Talon? The farm? The mansion? SMC?

Before or after Jonathan's death?

MrsK
06-18-2010, 06:08 PM
Sorry - Main 2 is a former main, not current.
It is at the Talon, before Jonathan's death

skully
06-18-2010, 06:11 PM
OK, so heard in an S5 scene before epi 12 in a scene at the Talon featuring (not surprisingly) Clark, Lana and Lois. :)

Thinking...

MrsK
06-18-2010, 06:15 PM
Not Chloe. You had it right the first time - Lois.

skully
06-18-2010, 06:18 PM
Oops. Edited.

skully
06-19-2010, 06:13 PM
Is it Amy Ward's "Every Day Is Like The Weekend" playing at the Talon in Aqua when Clark interrogates AC for information about his past, to the displeasure of Lois and Lana?

MrsK
06-19-2010, 06:21 PM
Yep. :)

skully
06-19-2010, 08:19 PM
Lyric: "I guess I'll never get to call you mine"

MrsK
06-20-2010, 12:27 PM
I think that is from "When I'm With You" by Simple Plan. It's playing toward the beginning of Shimmer when Clark and Lana are talking about the blood drive.

Lyric: "Please would you save me"

skully
06-23-2010, 03:28 AM
I believe that is from Ben Jelen's "Setting of the Sun" playing in the Kent Farmhouse scene near the end of Obsession after Lana has sought clarification on things that Alicia had said, then left and Clark and Martha talked about how Clark might always be alone becuase of who he is.

Lyric: "lookin' hard without bodyguards"

MrsK
06-23-2010, 10:31 AM
I think that is from "Hey, Mamma" by the Black Eyed Peas, which is playing in Exile when Clark shows up at Atlantis with the woman from the car dealership.

Lyric: "Heard my lover on the radio"

It is heard before the tornadoes.

Mains in the scene:
1 - current, multi-season male, alive, never a guest, Clark's age
2 - current, multi-season female, alive, never a guest, Clark's age
3 - former, multi-season male, was a guest, alive, Clark's age

Scene is in Smallville at a common indoors location

skully

So Clark, Chloe and Pete, at the Torch, SV High, The Talon, the Farm or SMC?

Before or after Clark had his powers leeched?

MrsK
06-25-2010, 06:25 PM
At the Torch, before Clark's powers were leeched.

skully
06-25-2010, 06:47 PM
We've done Kevin Clay's "Crush" before, in the scene where Clark, Chloe and Pete are investigating Harry Volk's trial at the Torch in Hourglass and find that he's killing the jurors descendants. Is it this one?

MrsK
06-25-2010, 06:49 PM
It is - the first line of the song.

skully
06-25-2010, 06:52 PM
OK, another soon. :)

----- Added 10 Minutes later -----

Lyric: "I sacrificed myself to make you want me"

MrsK
06-26-2010, 12:23 PM
I think that was from "The Weight of My Words" by the Kings of Convenience, which is playing in the background at the Talon when Clark and Lex are talking about their fathers in Reaper.

----- Added 3 Minutes later -----

Lyric: "You know the music search engine need a tune-up"

skully
07-07-2010, 10:31 PM
I believe that's from Fatboy Slim's "Wonderful Night" playing during the drinking game in the opening teaser of Recruit.

Lyric: "Wind you up and make you crawl to me"

MrsK
07-09-2010, 09:28 AM
I think that is "Finding Out True Love is Blind" by Louis XIV, which is playing at the Tri Alpha house when Geoff takes Clark there in Recruit

Lyric: "Every little thing gonna be all right"

Ilidan
07-11-2010, 07:03 PM
Pretty sure the song is Jimmy Eat World - the Middle.
Trying to remember the episode, but I know it was an early season, and pretty sure the scene takes place in SVH.

Might've been Heat?

MrsK
07-11-2010, 08:54 PM
No, not The Middle, although there is a similar line in that song.

skully
07-13-2010, 05:09 PM
Is this one Google-proof, MrsK? I get a hit with Bob Marley's "Three Little Birds" which was also covered by Pearl Jam but I don't recall either Artist being featured in the soundtrack of any episode.

MrsK
07-14-2010, 05:59 PM
Interesting. It isn't entirely Google-proof. When I Googled the title and artist, the lyrics came right up. Googling the line alone, however, resulted in many more popular results, and I don't know how many pages you would have to go through to get to the correct result.

It is heard in the background at a common location. A main and a recurring guest are in the scene.

skully
07-15-2010, 02:26 AM
So it's not a cover of Marley's "Three Little Birds"?

MrsK
07-15-2010, 07:28 PM
Nope.

skully
07-15-2010, 08:39 PM
OK, looking again.

skully
07-17-2010, 12:31 AM
I've found one or two other songs that have the lyric but they are not used on Smallville, so:

Before or after:

1. Tornadoes
2. Storm cellar blew up
3. Lana flew to Paris
4. Lana crashed in the LC helicopter
5. Lexod roughly kisses Lana on the roof of LCHQ
6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA
7. The FoS collapses on Lex and Clark
8. Davis was split from Doomsday

Is the main current, MS, M/F, ever guest, alive, Clark's age? Is the RG M/F, >2<5, ever main, powers, alive, incarcerated, Clark's age?

Scene in Smallville? Metropolis? Indoors? Is it the Talon?

MrsK
07-17-2010, 01:12 PM
After the tornadoes; before the storm cellar blew up.
The main is former, multi-season male, alive, was a guest, a bit older than Clark.
The RG is female, >5, never a main, no powers, alive/incarcerated status unknown, a bit older than Clark
Scene is at the Talon

skully
07-17-2010, 04:08 PM
OK so a Talon scene in season 2 featuring Lex and Helen Bryce?

OK, got it. The lyric is from "Love" by Rosey playing in the Talon scene in Visage where Lex confronts Helen for an explanation for why Lionel offered her $100,000 for something to do with their relationship.

Lyric: "Like a jail cell, a penitentiary"

MrsK
07-17-2010, 04:51 PM
That's from "The Anthem" by Good Charlotte. It's playing during the welcome back party for Whitney at the Talon in Visage.

Lyric: "You can't hear yourself think with their voices inside your head"

skully
07-19-2010, 04:21 AM
I believe that lyric is from A-Ha's "I wish I cared" playing in the Talon scene at the end of Dichotic when Clark (rather satisfyingly) tells Lana and chloe that he expected more from them than treating him like a jealous boyfriend when he was trying to protect them.

Lyric: "Headlights flicker in the dark"

MrsK
07-19-2010, 09:45 AM
I think that is from Natalie Walker's "Empty Road," which is playing at the end of Power when Clark and Lana are on the roof of the DP

----- Added 1 Minutes later -----

Lyric: "These little black clouds keep walking around"

skully

Lyric: "I feel the tears teasing in my eyes"

MrsK
07-22-2010, 07:54 AM

MrsK
07-24-2010, 11:17 AM
Moving it to the new page:

Lyric: "I feel the tears teasing in my eyes"

So it is a S4 song...

Are any mains in the scene? (Current, m-s, m/f, ever guest, alive, Clark's age?)
Is it heard at a common location?

skully
07-24-2010, 02:43 PM
There are two mains in the scene. Former, MS, F, was a guest, alive, Clark's age, and former, SS, M, never guest, dead, a bit older than Clark.

It is heard at a common series location.

MrsK
07-25-2010, 08:36 AM

skully
07-25-2010, 08:38 AM
Talon.

MrsK
07-25-2010, 08:58 AM
Well, I am out of town without my dvds, so I can't check. Is it "Hold On" by Newcomers Home, which is playing in Lucy when Jason and Lana come back from their run - shortly before they discover that her apartment has been ransacked?

skully
07-25-2010, 09:22 AM
That's the one, MrsK. :)

6. A wraith borrowed some of Clark's DNA

There are mains in the scene: current, MS, M, never a guest, alive, Clark's age; current, MS, F, was a guest, alive, a little older than Clark; and current, MS, M, was a guest, alive, a little older than Clark

OK, got it, and confirmed via Youtube. It's Linda Nygren's "Feel of Your Laughter" playing at the AoC when Clark apologizes to Lois for not picking her up from MGH and she shows him the charm that Zod gave her.
