What do you guys think considering this is like the third exploding future? Even though it seems repetitive, I look forward to see what they have planned and how it will be different from the first season.:confused:

There has to be one for every story arc :)
(this one will actually destroy Washington D.C. Probably not, but that is one way it could be different then the first season)

It looked like another nuke, or was it me?

Yeah I noticed it was Washington but I want to know what ends up happening and whether sylar will be involved. *fingers crossed*

It's Matt
he was shown with a bunch of dynamite straped to his waist.

Nathan is going to upset some person with exploding powers. The person will get upset and blow up building 26.

uhhh I'm pretty sure it's matt with dynamites! It's just a question of how it will come to that??

Come on they got to stop having a future explosion every volume (except for volume 2).
I will accept it only if they blow up the place for real. I am tired of the heroes preventing the future.
I hope Sylar blows it up with atomic power.

Hiro really needs to get his powers back somehow. Maybe Ando can supercharge Daphne and go back in time to pick up some of the formula and bring it back to inject Hiro.

Daphne
Yeah, that's what I was thinking!

So THAT's what the sticks were.
You know for a second there, I thought they were scrolls for an adventure! :p
If Matt does it for Daphne, then that must mean something happens to her..?

He will be on the verge of saving her, then she dies, he goes mad, and blows up washington

I should say tries to blow up washington. Most likely Peter and the gang will come to save the day.

But didn't the painting depict the explosion occurring?
weemanwise

Well so did Isaac's painting in season one. The explosion did happen but not in way he painted it.

Such crap! I'm so sick of the future glimpses, especially another bloody nuke. This show is so lame I wanna cry.

looks more like dynamite then a nuke. And there was never an actual "nuke" just peter going nuclear.

But how is Hiro supposed to save Matt? Hiro got a fax to save him from Rebel.

I am interested in seeing how a couple sticks of dynamite are going to cause an explosion about the same size as Peter's in the first season. As for the Parkman going crazy thing, I dont think so. In the preview for next weeks episode, they said the Hunter would go rogue. He has always wanted to eliminate them, so I think he will try to set Matt up with the dynamite to paint people with abilites as really being terrorists to let the whole world in on their secret and turn the majority against them.

Hmmm good question, we can assume now that the fax means save him from becoming a suicide bomber, but how could Hiro stop him? unless Hiro gets his power back before he tries to save Matt.

I don't think he's invincible or anything. I just don't see him dying any time soon. Just the way I see it.

Really and Nathan was all for blowing up New York when it was going to happen in S1. If any of the people with abilities should be captured and locked up he should.
At first I thought 'ugh not again' but this time I think it's a future that might possibly happen and is not that far fetched given that they are trying to round people up with abilities who do not want to be rounded up. I'll have to reserve judgment til it unfolds more.

Whether it happens or not it's an overused plot device that needed to died after the first season. Bringing it back for basically the 3rd season in a row is pretty stupid and lazy. They are already in imminent danger from being hunted, you don't need to make some huge explosion to bring them together. This is the equivalent of bring Lana back for the 5 episode Smallville arc (essentially a big FU to the fans), and my bet is it'll be just as disappointing.
God, how I cannot wait to see an episode actually done by Bryan Fuller. Maybe just maybe, he'll be able to put some perspective on this dying show.

I'm going to guess this is how this "hunting" ends. Our heroes save the day, and get a free pass.

ugh I almost forgot about the lame ending, but Matt and the ridiculously overkilled painting power again, an exploding future again, all so unnecessary and lazy indeed. I thought it was only Smallville that repeated itself over and over. Guess the lazy disease spread itself on over to Heroes. Round and round it goes, where it'll stop, only cancellation knows.
Is it just me or are they starting to run out of ideas first new york now the white house?Definitely. And it's sort of a ripoff of The Dead Zone, Johnny Smith had recurring apocalyptic visions of Washington in flames on that series. At least with NY in the first season it was somewhat different, but doing the cliche washington disaster thing reeks of unoriginality and dead brains in the writing room. Stick a fork in Heroes.

Could this be a take on a terminator-esque storyline. Being that the "nuke" explosion is inevitable and that it's just been postponed. So maybe this "nuked washington" will happen.

That is cheap. It is just like in JLU when Cadmus stopped going after the Justice League because they fought BrainIAC.

One thing I don't like is Matt having the future/painting power. I was starting to think that when he see that chaman guy is because someone else is giving him the alucination (just like his dad did with NAte and Linderman) but seeing the future? really?
Anyway, about the new explosion maybe it's something that have to happen you know. They change it but it comes back in a way (Sylar exploding) or another (this time).

I hate it too, I mean, the whole way Matt got that power by eating poop was stupid. Or is that how he got it?
At any rate, lame either way.

Yeah, but how else do you see this hunting ending? The heroes are going to have to do something to save the world, before the government lets them go free.

I don't see there hunt ever stoping unless everybody in the goverment that knows people have abilities are mindwiped.

Agree, even if they stop the explosion or something they'll be other "Hunters" that aren't gonna like people with abilities

Mind wiping all of them might take awhile. And Sylar and Tracy are examples of who should be locked up. I don't know about Matt though, he was just protecting himself.

I'll just say the writers sure have dug themselves a hole this time.
