Spoilers: Anything from season 6 and down.
Note: Be easy with this, this will be my first Lana/Clark story, but it won't always be about them there will be other characters. Oliver never dated Lois, his dating Chloe instead. Lana and Lex, never married. There will be killing of characters in this story.
Summary: The gang goes out for some hiking in Smallville, but things don't go according to plan.

(Prologue)

It's late at night in Smallville. There are two people walking in the woods together.

“Gary, I really don’t like this. Let's head back,” the woman implored the man.

“Come on, Sara, it's just a mile until we get there,” Gary reassured her, putting his hand over Sara’s shoulder.

“I don’t like being out here this late,” Sara said, clearly scared.

Gary pulled away from Sara. “Then you go back, and I’ll continue,” he replied.

“I don’t think it’s a good idea to split up,” Sara stated.

“I don’t care,” Gary snapped. He continued on, while Sara stayed behind.

Just as Gary disappeared into the woods, out of sight, Sara decided she would go with him afterall. “ Gary wait up.” She ran to catch up with him, but he was nowhere to be found.

“Gary!” she yelled. Suddenly, she heard a sound behind her.

“Gary?” she asked. But no one answered. When she turned around, she came face to face with a man wearing a mask and holding a knife.

“Damn it, you scared me,” Sara said to the mystery man.

Still, the man said nothing. Something didn't feel quite right. Sara turned back to run, but tripped over a rock. She looked up to see the masked man swinging a long knife at her. Sara screamed.

Hearing a scream, Gary turned around. “Sara?” he whispered. He began to run towards the scream. “Sara!” he yelled. As he drew closer to Sara's location, he could see a body lying on the ground.

“Sara!” he yelled again. He ran over to her, only to see that the body had no head. He screamed. Just as he turned to leave, a knife sliced through him. As the blood drained from his body, Gary collapsed to the ground, dead.

We look up to see the man in the mask....Jason.

The next day, Clark spotted Lana carrying a backpack. He walked up and put his arms around her. “What are you doing? Going somewhere?” he asked.

“Hey," Lana replied. "Yeah, I'm going with Chloe and Lois on a camping trip."

Clark kissed Lana, and said, “How about if I tag along with you girls, it wouldn't hurt.”

“This was going to be just a girls night out, but I don’t mind. I would like for you to come. I just need to call Chloe and tell her you're coming. She’ll be picking me up,” Lana explained.

“Alright, I’m go get my things together,” Clark said, walking up the stairs.

Lana walked over to the phone to call Chloe.

Like Vergon6 said, I'm not exactly a fan of the horror genre, but I'll give this a try. The beginning was interesting. Can't wait for more. Will Oliver be joining them on the trip?
