I thought that Kid was a goner for sure. He kept poking the bear...and we all know if you poke a bear ...he'll eat you. Also it was cool to see Sylar agree he was a serial killer...cause he IS. And seeing the inner workings of Sylars mind. How he has an endgame etc.. All cool stuff. Character depth...is always good.

I loved the serial killer discussion, it was fantastic, I laughed. And the music as they drove off at the end, that was good stuff too.

Sylar's scenes were the highlight of this episode as far as I am concerned. His scenes are always good.

The kid might be sylar's kid brother( oh no, not another brother for sylar)!

Heh yeah,

Sylar is once again proving that hes the resident badass...although I was hoping that he might ditch that sentimental crap kick they had him on for the last little bit all the way, but I guess that is not to be yet...its too bad, but here is my rewrite for the best scene in the series that they skipped out on:

Luke "what are you looking for in your father's eyes?" (can't remember the line exactly)

sound of clocks ticking

Sylar "Fear"

come on, how could that not have been the most badass moment ever? as opposed to the wimpy crap he spouted, but it seems that tptb are going to continue to humanize a serial killer, so I'll let them spool out the rest of the rope for their noose for now...

Also when Sylar goes back and slaughters the rest of the team that came after him...Genius, I hope he just keeps leaving bodybags everywhere...

Sylar is probably the only reason I would of watched this episode. All of it other then the Sylar parts were so boring.

I don't like the way they're turning Sylar into a nice guy again. I thought we got over all of that? I mean, unless he is his brother and all. I could see why he would of saved him then.

It seemed to me that Sylar was teaching the kid to be like him, training him

Sylar was awesome.. I liked his honor... He helped him... he is helping him back...

Evil is just total absence of love, but it doesn't mean total wrong doing.

wouldn't Sylar know it if Luke was his brother. I thought Sylar had a power that let him touch things and see their history. He got when Angela gave it to him by providing someone for him to kill while he was training to be a hunter with Noah.

The thing is, highlander, that Sylar is the villain, always has been, and always will be. And this whole nice thing they have him doing is just a waste of perfectly good airtime.

the highlander
02-16-2009, 10:13 PM
No it isn't
look at hannibal...

He was the villain... he was fair though....

that is the depth of character that darth vader didn't have...

Darth Vader was made by the force and the notion that a good man can be turned bad and vice versa... We are all capable of evil, don't we kill cows to eat? We are still killing...

Anyways... the point is... its character depth and I would love for Sylar to have some honor behind certain things. Power is in the knowledge and accomplishments with it.

He might be evil, but not without honor. No evil person sees himself as evil, so its a start of a new angle to sylar. He has a hunger and he is killing like we kill cows... To feed... His evil part comes when he toys with his victims or enjoys his victim's pain...

Anyways... I just want to see him get stronger and use his powers w/o any remorse to those who mean him harm...

Like I said more scenes with badass Sylar cutting peoples heads open...Although I would like to see more variety with his power usage, he's got so many at this point that it's starting to get irksome when he doesn't use different ones...like why didn't he hear the radio chatter coming to get him a mile away...or how about a sonic scream from jesse early on in the season, or just setting off a small nuclear explosion, if he can control it, which he demonstrated earlier, and he can't die why not, he wouldn't even have to use a nuke just fry the guys with radiation...how sick would that be, guys pop out with guns and Sylar hits them with so much radiation they bubble and burst...now that would be awesome

Killing cows is not anything like Killing a human being. So far from it exactly that I don't even know what you're getting at.

Somebody clear this up for me. Why does Sylar have the power to see the history of things he touches that he got when Angela gave him somebody with powers to feed on. I don't recall a significant use of it.

I nearly cheered when he left him. (Oh, yeah, I said "Finally!". I should've cheered. Loudly.)
Then I wanted to start crying out "no! Noooo!" when he came back for him.

In a nutshell, Sylar does not need a sidekick. An annoying, obnoxious smart-mouth
teenage sidekick who can heat stuff up. Blarg! It's like they're trying to make my
favorite villian all sentimental and cute. Sylar is not either of those things! Sylar is eeeevil!

When Sylar kills him, I might just cheer. (Eventhough I don't like violence or whatever,
but this kid needs to be gone aready. I don't care if he gets captured or killed or
just however it happens. I just want it to happen. Now.)

Eh about that power... your speaking of targis. Some says it only works on objects and it's really an useless power. But some day it works on people which I doubt lol then there wouldn't be a reason why he would need Lie Detector power. He really doesn't need to know the preception of an object pasts unless he knows for sure that object has been with the "person" for a long time. For example he could of touched arthur ring by accident, now if that ring was worn for the time Angela and Arthur got married, Sylar would see everything the ring went in past from the time it was created. That power is pretty hard to put in display and at the moment it's useless because he really doesn't need to use it.

Exactly the way I feel. When they introduced Sylar in season one he was bad. I mean, they didn't even show us his face at first--just plain evil.

They need to simply stop screwing with our heroes; give Peter his power back, and make Sylar evil again.

Because to HIM people with abilities are like cows are to us.

Oh, I see what you're saying now. I thought you were saying something like a cows life is just as important has a humans.

Yeah, I guess, but his ability is so friggin' lame. He's a walking microwave.

Haha, I just made myself snort. Walking microwave.:rotfl:

I don't think Sylar would want to be a walking microwave. He usually gets powers
that are useful, like telekinesis and the human lie-detector power.

Hmm. Maybe I'll start calling the kid (What the heck is his name??) Microwave Boy.

I think the kid's a nice addition to the show. He's funny and sadistic to the point that Sylar's a little taken back. We rarely get enough development of Sylar with minor characters because he just slices their head open. This allows for some good talks between two different crazies

Level5
02-16-2009, 11:59 PM
You see, defga, this is the reason the writers got this crazy idea in their crazy little heads that Sylar actually needs a little buddy. Because people like you want him to have one.

It's not like their joined at the hip or anything. He'll be on for another episode or two then Sylar goes on his merry way on his own, probably with a new microwave power. It's something new, which is nice since Heroes got kind of repetitive for a while.

Mini Wolfsbane

But...but...it's lame!

What's he gonna do with it? Reheat the leftovers?

He's fine with what he has and the writers need better ideas.

Sylar needs to get rid of the kid after he finds his dad, not take his powers,
and then get back to actually being evil. Not "Mr.Nice guy who saves the annoying
Microwave Boy". *tears out hair*

How is Sylar taking the computer from the back of the suv that Nathans commandos were using to transport Luke. He was like I was wondering how they were tracking me.

Well they weren't tracking him from the suv. they were tracking him from the main hunter's office using the camereas at the stoplights. So I don't see how Sylar getting their laptop would stop them from finding him at all.

I kept thinking - I love how Sylar is doing what I wanted him to do in S1 and S2 - he's a man on a mission. I like his relationship with the kid - you just never know when or if he'll kill the kid because Sylar is not doing things in a reg fashion. Love him.

Not everything have to be black and white imo. Maybe Sylar just got bored of doing bad things and he's playing nice again, I don't know. The guy, even if he's a cold blood killer, still has his heart you know :p

The funny thing is that Luke has no idea how lucky he is. I think only Elle was able to even put a chink in Sylar’s armor; have him open up, and look what he did to her. It’s not if Sylar will kill Luke; it’s inevitable, it’s just when.

You really got to stop trying to be my friend luke, cause I will kill you.

I just remember seeing how the US government soldiers were looking up information and files on our Sylar hehe. The funny thing is that image of the brain, information about his power, and stuff came from heroes wiki( the actual website and image the US government solders were looking at (http://heroeswiki.com/Assignment_Tracker_2.0/Gabriel_Gray). Just like the show it showed Sylar picture just like that which is a loophole lol since we know there weren't any Camera or pictures taken when Sylar was with Claire's house with Mrs. Bennet and Mr. Muggles. And yeah based from that image all the powers they mentioned are all wrong except TK. Iono I thought that was funny.
