Hmmm, can't help but notice that Lana's minutes are highest in my un-favorite episodes: Spell, Sacred and Ageless. They really didn't know what to do with her this season, and still she gets more screen time than Lex taking over LuthorCorp?????

I'm not being critical but I don't understand how approximately three minutes makes a difference in the season as a whole.

For Transference: were you counting Lionel's time in Clark's body as Clark time, and vice versa?

What I decided when I did Transference was that I was counting screentime for the character, not the actor. Though I did do a seperate tally for the actor as well.

So, when it comes to Transference, when you see Lionel in Clark's body, thats Lionel screentime. When you see Clark in Lionel's body, thats Clark screentime.

I know it might seem a strange way to do it, but I figured I had to make some sort of guidelines.

I handle possession eps differently, because the character is still in their own body, just possessed by someone else. So, for instance, in Zod, Zod possessing Lex counts as Lex screentime, because Lex is still in there.

If only they'd left in a few deleted scenes with lois, she could have overtaken chloe.

Wasn't Martha in Blank at the end? I seem to recall a scene where she kind of apologizes that maybe all their fears have hurt him? Completist me...

I believe that the Martha/Jonathan scene was cut from Blank, but its in the deleted scenes on the DVD. Its just not in the actual episode.

Maybe not the biggest season for him screentime wise, but looking at BT's screentimes from 2-7, it seems his average amount of screentime is between 9-10 minutes an episode. The difference from the worst season to best season is only 20 minutes of screentime(not counting S7 which had 2 less epsiodes, although that was also his worse screentime average)


The witch arc among other things really took too much time.

In defense of the witch Arc(Lana), it was real easy to FF through without missing a beat on the show and it seperated Lana from Clark for a large chunk of the season. You take the good with the bad I guess. lol

even though i absolutely hate this season clark's ST is extremely well balanced throughout being number 1 in every episode damn shame how times have changed. No character ever surpassed his time unlike recently we're he's more involved in subplot

True for Lionel but with Onyx that really shouldn't be an issue...For the first seven seasons it was Lex's show as much as Clark's. Lana had more time but he was more involved with major arcs and it was also his destiny being shown.
