Man the way Sylar was talking and well actually the way both of them were talking they were like so connected. The last brain removal sylar did was on Lie Detector girl at least from the "show" and haven't absorbed any other abilities yet like from Danny the metal guy, puppet guy, etc even though he killed them. Hrmm seeing how Sylar was practically bonding with the guy lol you think he'll choose to absorb his power the empathic way by helping his issues out (like what he did with Elle to get Lightning)? It make sense that he might start using this type of absorption power instead of brain removal all the time if he wants to. He could of did it with the Lie Detector Girl but I guess he didn't have anything to relate her with or was just angry how things are currently were with all the lies he's been told by Arthur and Angela so he brutally got lie detector from brain removal. Now that he's getting answers and practically thinks he's strong already I think he might just absorb the new guy power the empathic way than brain removal for 2 reasons 1) he saved sylars life, 2) they are very alike and Sylar is connecting to him. Although Sylar did seem very interested in his power but he had self control and didn't kill him. Now that I'm disappointed in everyone's development and story I'm looking forward in to Sylars, so hopefully the writers will stay solid with Sylar and dont go overboard like they usually do.

Wow dude take a breath!

I kept on expecting that kid to reveal that Samson (Sylar's dad, I think that was his name) was also his father. They lived a block away from each other, he had powers, and the "whore" lie could have been his subconcious anger towards his mother for having an affair with the guy. He may have even got in to the fight at school for the same reason, these kinds of dirty secrets can be common knowledge in a small town.

So my point is that this could still happen, the kid could reveal that they are in fact brothers. That is the only thing that might, might save his life if Sylar feels "the hunger" for another power.

I also got a bit of a Magneto vibe from Sylar when it seemed like he was recruiting a sidekick, the first member of an army of powers (noun meaning people good or bad with superpowers).

I think that the kid is a means to an end. Once the kid leads him to papa sylar then Sylar may or may not kill him.....

by the way sylar did get the pupet's ability.

He might or might not have it. He can easily do the same mouth trick with his tk ability.

Kid didn't save his life he thought he was which is still nice of him but Sylar could have done anything to him before he got that shot off.
He always uses his TK for stuff like that, not the puppet masters power.

If Sylar would have got Arthurs powers not even peter would have ever been able to stop him. I don't know why he didnt do it when he had the chance. the hatian was worn out from dealing with Arthur so Sylar could have taken him out and pete was powerless so nobody would have been able to stop him.

If When Sylar meets his dad he forms a good relationship with him. Sylar could change and become more empatihic and one day his empathic power may start working like peters did.

Sylar could have already taken the kids power. He was showing empathy for him when he was talking to him about his home life.

Knowing Sylar I think that he only let the kid live because he was amuse, nothing more. And that's the same reason he left him go along with him
