I completely agree. I think all of us Cloisers are just Clois-deprived so we were hoping for some spectacular scene to feed us after 4 dry months. We're just gonna have to keep being patient and trust the writers.
This is the kind of episode that gives me my faith back i nthe writers. This is the Season 8 I was so anxious to watch in September. This is what Smallville should've been during the disastrous Lana-arc and the 4-month Lois disappearance. Ladies and gentlemen, Smallville has returned in its full glory.
I totally agree, we'll get a major Clois seen by the end of the season (Spoilers tell me so;)) so just be patient and love the scenes they are in. This episode made me feel happy about SV again

I was pessimistic about the kiss from the start. I wasn't hoping for that :)

Hehehe, I love Smallville fans.
After Requiem everyone was booing because Clark hooking up with Lois would make him look like a predator. And now he has done the gentlemanly thing and NOT acted like rebound boy, you are all p!ssed. Classic. :D

I'm not sure I understood what Lois was trying to say in the barn. What is everyone's take on her speech?

I loved the ending. I'm crying my eyes out right now.
We got what we wanted:
1.) They are NOT gonna rush Clois, which is what EVERYONE demanded after the Lana arc.
2.) Clark HAS realized his feelings for Lois. And he is scared out of his MIND. They both are.
Erica.....blew me away. She left me speechless.
Good god, finally an adult relationship to look forward to.
I need to know the name of the song at the end.

The gentleman thing would be to walk up to her and tell her he's not ready. Not stand outside and watch her feel embarrassed. Even though he was scared, he should have at least manned up and talked to her. They are friends.

Lois and Clark are friends. Sometimes coffee just starts out as coffee. They could have talked, and both decided that it wasn't the right time, that they would have sorted through their feelings for each other first.
That's the point, they are NOT just friends anymore and Clark knows that. He knew it probably wouldn't be JUST coffee and he's not ready for that right now. He needs time to sort through his feelings not a mocha latte. Sure he was afraid but he wasn't a coward, he knows when something is going to happen between them and he also knows he's not ready. It's better for her to be hurt by his feelings then by his secret or so he thinks.

i dont think they shoulda like hooked up or anything, but clark not showing up for coffee will make lois think hes not interested and she may be alot more reluctant to pursue anything further with him in the future...he coulda just showed up at least as a friend. and the best line in the whole episode was...
Lois: Ah, Hell no! (when she read the bad clark story!)

I didn't understand Lois speech in the barn before Clark got swamped by green K either. At least Clark should have told her that he DOES have feelings but doesn't wan't to rush into anything with her.

Why is everyone calling Clark an idiot, the feelings he has for Lois are scary and she's scared out of her mind too. He has a lot on his plate, he's just lost Lana forever (yeah!) but everyone was screaming how he shouldn't just jump back into Lois's arms but now everyone is complaining that he didn't, what is that?????
They need to heal slowly, it's how it needs to go about. He can trust her with his secret, but he can't trust the world and right now he doesn't believe she would be safe in a world in which she knows his secret. All he want's to do is protect her. And that is truly romantic.
I like to pretend Bulletproof, Power, and Requiem didn't happen and Clana didn't happen season 8.

Exactly, all Clois fans who are complaing need to go back and reread their posts after power, almost everyone said that they didn't want Clark re bounding to Lois. He didn't, but he realized Lois is more important to him than he knew. Enough to hurt himself (remember he actually believed things could work for a moment) in order to protect her. He thinks he's only depriving himself of her, all he wants is for her to be safe and if that means being alone then so be it. To me it only makes him more heroic. If they got Lois and Clark together now, no body would be happy, so why is everyone complaining that they didn't get together. Prolong the romance and keep the ride interesting, I'm tuning in every week it's on to see what the writers will pull next for Clois and I can't wait

That's how I took it. I'm glad they didn't get together. They have history and both aren't fully ready yet I think. His hand was forced in this episode when he told her. It wasn't as if he did it 100% willingly. While the end result between them was good he still saw the bad side. While she most likely would keep it to herself she would end up in the situation Chloe is in and has been in. I doubt he wants that and it isn't as if Lois would react the same way Chloe would. She would go really out of her way to protect Clark more so then Chloe would due to her personality. I think that needs to be taken into account. This is why Lois Lane gets herself into trouble so much and that's just for her career and doing what is right. It would be pushed even more I think if she was thinking about the man she loved. I think Clark would know this and after Chloe and the crap that went down with Lana so recently he needs time and is clearly scared himself.
At least Clois is back on though. The ups and downs will begin seriously now though since Lana is finally out of the way once and for all. We do have another season on the way so there is no need to rush things.

I am in my personal roller coaster,
1.- The acting part was amazing between Lois and Clark
2.- the story was incredible tell, a littler fast but was OK, they has more to show us in 42 min. maybe I would have liked to see a little more during the interview
3.- I think Clark is scare to have a relationship with Lois, She is so intense woman and juvenile kisses and touch hands are not enough with her....
In a firts thought I see Lois weak, but She was not weak, she was so determinate to put Clark in the corner when he left her waiting in the airport.. " what is that Noise?"
But when she knows his true she changes, in the barn conversation we could see in her words how much she was thinking about Clark.
She is very special for Clark, He prefer keep her away his secret to protect, because he doesn't want loose her to.
And the end she was waiting for him but when he said that he can meet her, he immediately said something like I cant too, also she did't know clarks was in the dark.
GOD this was a REAL GREAT EPISODE!!!! SO INTENSE AND FOR ME LEFT A LOT SPOILER, I know 100% Chloe is one of the death en epi.22

Okay, that is faulty psychology. You don't use anti-psychotics to treat multiple personalities.
It's faulty pharmacology too! There's no drug anyone would recognize as being used to treat multiple personality either!
I'm a pharmacist and I'd know! This show could really use a medical expert every now and then.

PS3 -- You all need to sign her on for 22 episodes next season! She's the main reason I watch the show!

I know at least one person on the Smallville production crew must read this.
Even if Chloe makes it out of this season alive, you need to give Erica Durance a 22-episode contract next year. To not do that is a COMPLETE disrespect to the character of Lois Lane. Come on guys!
And hell, while we're at it, give Jimmy a 22-episode contract too.

Your boyfriend, LOL
I've always found it funny that the characters on the show(any show) never corrects the person who wrongly assume that.

I don't think it had anything to do with Lana since he could have used the legion ring to go a couple of weeks back. It was more because he thought he would put Lois in danger somehow again like when he told his secret to her.

Disagree. It was too soon. He's not over the heartbreak of losing Lana for good and he didn't want to jerk Lois around when he wasn't ready to move on yet. It was definitely the right move, that's why I love Clark.
